I recently visited with a group of 4, 2 couples. We stayed in the upstairs loft, the "family suite". It was only for one night and it was very nice. The only problem was that it had 1 doube and 2 twin beds. So 1 couple had to sleep separately. On an extremely positive note, the next morning when we woke up for breakfast, our rental car had a flat tire and they did everything they could to assist us (On a Sunday to boot) to find a place to fix our flat. They allowed us to stay until almost lunch, use their phone, and they even chatted with us while we waited. They were extremely hospitable and I would recommend staying here to anyone. Make sure you google maps the exact location and get directions to the exact place, because Hotels.com has the address wrong and a GPS will send you to Beverley, and really its just outside of Shiptonthorpe. All in all, a 4.5 out of 5, a fantastic countryside farmette B&B.

ideal b&b acc'n, handy for the town and restaurants, nice friendly owners, very helpful. Excellent breakfast as well, will use again.

Ibis Hull is close to Hull Ice Arena, Wilberforce House Museum, and The Deep. Also nearby are KC Stadium and Pearson Park.

"First time European experience"
The staff was friendly. During the whole five day stay I was there, my room was only cleaned once...and that was the day before I left, and after I ran into a maid and told her that maid service was never done on my room. "enjoyable stay with a few minor faults"
The hotel itself was lovely and the staff were nice very adequate for our stay however the internet in the room was very slow it took us 1hour 10mins to book train tickets which would be a 5 min job at home, We paid £10 for a 24 hour tv and internet package but we were unable to use the television service as there was no picture but had sound, The room […] was very warm which could be cosy in the winter months but a bit too warm for this time of year and last of all breakfast although a great choice of food the hot plate wasnt so hot ! "Good value"
Let's remember that this is an economy hotel. You know what's coming next, don't you?!!! Like most things in Hull, this hotels trudges along in a fairly constant state of adequacy, never excelling, and ocassionally failing miserably when adequacy nipped out for another fag. Examples? Coffee (??) stains on the curtains, more 'liquid' stains on the wall […] beside the mirror. Quick wash, sugar soap and maybe a lick of paint respectively. JFDI. Half the staff looked like they'd completed their NVQ1 in Hospitality at Her Majesty's pleasure, but don't be fooled, I learnt that they turned out to be diamonds. Best we don't talk about parking. "Nothing well, most things adequately, some badly"
This hotel does nothing well, most things adequately and a few things really badly. By far the worst is the parking. It does admit to not having it's own, but I was told the municipal car park that they had a deal with was "close by" which I figured I could cope with. Actually it's several blocks away through what I am told was the red light district […] until it became too derelict even for that. Definitely streets you don't want to be walking through alone at night - but you have to if you want to use the car park. Coffee stains on the curtains, similar stains on the walls - they just need a wash, for goodness sake! And as for the half wits responsible for the wardrobes that, when you hang stuff, it stops you getting to the shelves?? "Excellent value in Hull city centre"
My partner and I stay at the Ibis hotel in Hull regularly and have never been disappointed. The service is excellent, with a pleasant bar and hot food available 24/7. The staff are always very helpful - in fact, during our most recent stay one of the team went to the shops to buy ingredients and then cook a breakfast for a guest who had arrived after […] breakfast service had finished! The rooms are much as you would expect from an Ibis hotel - decent sized, functional and clean but without a great deal of individuality. But when you consider the price, I think it would be very difficuly to complain. The hotel is a short walk from Hull station, or if you are driving you can park your car in the Princes Quays shopping centre round the corner for £5 for 24 hours - you just have to tell the attendant that you're staying at the hotel. "Helpful staff, dated hotel"
Staff were friendly enough and check-in was quick and easy. Didn't expect much with the hotel being in the Ibis chain, but did wonder what the sticky stuff on the lift button was! The hotel is very, very dated, rooms are extremely basic and bland and the bathroom was one of those caravan pod type things that Ibis seem to favour. Room had tea and coffee […] making facilities, tv, apparently it had wifi (I didn't use the as £10 to play around on the internet is a bit much) and that was about it. Location was ok, near the centre and there was an amusing business corner in the reception, which had an old pay as you go computer and a desk. We got a very good price for a double room for a one night stay and everything was as expected. Room was clean, bed was comfy, TV was a bonus! As for people moaning about noise etc - it's a city centre budget travel hotel, there's obviously going to be noise in a busy city centre. I thought there was parking from the hotel description. There's only 7 spaces and that's for disabled people only. You have to park in a multi storey around the corner.
