"Not Four Star"
For what they charge it was ridiculous. The gave us a room on the 2nd floor with con edison tearing up the street outside. I asked for a room on a higher floor and had to PAY even though the noise on the second floor was deafening! The bathroom is so small you cant turn around in it and the entire mirror was cracked! There is no parking and no room […] service. Definitely not a four star rated hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The Bentley Hotel was beautiful. The hotel management left a complimentary bottle of champagne and chocolates for us - we told them it was our anniversary getaway. That was very sweet and thoughtful! The view was great of the river and the bridge. We were on a high floor so we did not hear any highway traffic. The bed was very comfy and the bathroom amenities […] were great! It was just a tight trying to walk around the bed to get to the desk and seating area. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not that great!"
From the beginning we had some problem. A friend swiped her card and checked us in and then i switched it to my card. I've done this before at other hotels with no problem. They charged both of us the full amount on the room plus the deposit. 869$ is a lot of money to hold on two accounts! Not to mention they promised no charges until checkout. Things […] were broken on the way up to our room and it took three hours to get our air conditioning fixed. Normally when that is the case the hotel should move your room. Instead people were coming in and out. The room was small and unimpressive. If you are looking for a hotel near the shopping district and restaurants i guess its okay. Otherwise I don't think the Bentley is worth the hassel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great East Side Hotel"
Spacious, clean, and comfortable rooms with wonderful views of the East River, the East Side and Queens, and the 59th Street (Queensboro) Bridge. Immediate access to the FDR (East River) Drive up- and downtown, and a short few blocks to the 59th Street Bridge. Close to Sutton Place, other East Side sites, and many major medical facilities. Minutes from […] Queens, including LaGuardia Airport, and Brooklyn. JP, Jose, and all the staff very friendly and accomodating. Great place to stay! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Thanks for a good stay"
We had a good stay and would stay again...just wished our room was on the side by the bridge! Awesome looking structureGenuine Hotels.com guest review
My wife and I had to stay in the area because our daughter was overnighting in a local hospital. The hotel is nice, clean and welcoming. Rooms for NYC are spacious. Staff was very nice. I would definitely stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good, but not perfect"
This hotel was overall, pretty good, bed was super comfortable, and everything seemed very clean, we only had a couple complaints, one being that the room was extremely dark. Im talking, can't find stuff in your suitcase dark, and forget trying to put make up on any place but the bathroom. Our only other negative was the restaurant. We ended up not […] eating there after looking at reveiws and seeing many many bad comments about the food, which is very expensive. We chose instead to find restaurants around town to spend money on good food, without worrying that we were going to be let down. Also, because the restaurant is apparantly seperate from the hotel, they dont do room service. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great time in NYC"
The Bentley is a great hotel for the value it gives. If you are looking for a nice clean moderately upscale and out of the hustle and bustle of NYC this is the place.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Facility is good."
Booking was easy; however once the guest arrived at the hotel they needed a personal credit and needed to pay even though this room was booked with a corporate business card. Our company has given this hotel all of our business for the past several years. My complaint is a credit authorization form was filled out and faxed which was not sufficient and […] had to give my personal drivers license. This is unacceptable and the Bentley needs to reconsider their policy. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Deal for a Unique Stay"
I got an excellent deal on 2 nights at the Bentley Hotel through hotels.com. Our corner suite had an excellent view, charming decor, comfortable furniture, and delightful bath products. It was a great place to hang out and to use as a staging ground for our NYC adventures. Additionally, it was easy to access via subway from JFK.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not that good"
The Bentley is somewhat out-of-date, dingy, and loud. If you want to cringe as you walk on an old carpet, gaze out filthy windows, and listen to everything people in the neighboring rooms are saying, then this hotel is for you. Granted, it's definitely not the worst hotel...the rooms are spacious and the bed feels and looks good. And since you're in […] Manhattan you probably shouldn't be spending much time in the hotel at all...but it's not that great either. So...if you go, you can expect a decent room and a good bed in a safe neighborhood that's a little removed from the action. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Out of town couple"
Check in was fast efficient and friendly. Room had two full-sized beds and was very small. Bath was very small. Shower splashed out onto floor causing need for daily fresh towels. Small fully stocked fridge. Air conditioner musty smelling. Very small closet, 1 armchair with small round table. No desk. Difficult for two people to sit & eat. This hotel is fantastic. Comfortable, large rooms compared to other NY hotels. Comfy bed, excellent water pressure and relatively quiet for third floor room.Genuine Expedia guest review
"The Bentley Hotel Scam"
Everything regarding our stay at the Bentley Hotel was perfect...until they charged us an additional fee for what they are referring to as a "smoking penalty" (and this additional charge overdrew our account, subjecting our entire lives post-stay to myriad bank fees, bounced checks, etc.). As a proud non-smoker and serious asthmatic, I swore up-and-down […] that my partner and I did NOT smoke in the room, yet the Bentley Hotel management refuse to acknowledge that maybe the customer is right in this situation. We have yet to resolve this dispute, but in the meantime I strongly recommend avoiding getting caught in the muck and mire of the Bentley Hotel's scamming practices. Nice location. Within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Room was nice and very clean. Blow dryer was close to salon status, very nice. "Good but not great"
The hotel was fine and the staff was great. The location was not that convenient transportation wise except by cab. The rooms were clean and comfortable, however, the closet and drawer space was wanting. The hotel's nightly rates were very good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The beds are way too hard and take up about 90% of the room and they don't include breakfast . But other then that the location , staff and greneral experience was good . "Hotel was in a great spot"
It was a good price for what we got. Many attractions are within walking distance. I would stay here again. I am not sure if it is standard for NY but there was no coffee anywhere. You had order from room service. Overall a good experience though.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very good stay."
Overall the hotel is very good. The TV did not get a few important stations and the bed could be more comfy. But its a great place with a great staff.Genuine Expedia guest review
The only issue I had was the loud AC unit which woke me up at night. Overall, a decent place to stay in the city for the cost.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"My Night at the Bentley"
Great hotel. Amazing bed and bathroom. Pretty cool view of the 59th street bridge and East River. Only downside was their restaurant, Prime, was closed for that evening so I didn't get to dine there like I wanted to. Would recommend to everyone.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Shower wouldn't drain......"
Good points:Very comfortable, spacious, clean rooms. Friendly staff. Lots of dogs nearby. (next to vet) Not so good points: Very hot in elevators and hall ways. Hall ways were very dark. Shower would not drain, even after crusty maint. man "fixed it". Limited food options in hotel restaurant.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I expected more for the money paid. One little bar of soap and, for breakfast room service (only meal for which room service is available) provided plastic utensils and no plates. Staff was helpful. Location good for visitors to Sloan Kettering, but traffic heavy. Would have given better rating if we'd paid Sloan Kettering rates.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The hotel room smelled like an ash tray. When I asked to have a different room I was told there weren't any others. "Good value, smaller rooms"
The room was small and we did not have a nice view but the sheets were clean and the bed comfortable. The location is a bit inconvenient- being so many crosstown blocks from mid- Manhattan. Overall a good value. Front desk and staff all very friendly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great hotel, convenient to so much."
Thus is my second stay at the Bentley. What a wonderful hotel! Everyone is so helpful, friendly, and super accommodating.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel is right off the FDR drive and they do not have valet service or bellmen, so you have to fight traffic to get to their parking lot two blocks away and then carry your luggage ( it happened to be pouring rain) to the hotel. It is busy, the rooms are very small and you are paying top luxury prices for the room. Their cafe can't fit more than […] handful of people and it is part of the lobby which is very very busy. There is no value in this hotel at all. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The room was big. The price was right. It was clean and easy to get to. They also have a parking lot under the hotel. For $25 plus tax for 24 hours I was very happy to park with the hotel. With tax is came to around $29.00.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Driving into New York for first time I was nervous but the location of this hotel made it very easy to get to while avoiding busy areas. Upon arrival they allowed up to check in our luggage as we were headed to a Yankees game. The room was not ready when we requested it to be. Room was VERY small for four people. Even for two it would have been annoying. […] Bathroom was dirty. Stuff on the floor, glass on shower had scum on it and the bed sheets had stains. The biggest part I was not keen on was the customer service. New York being quite a tourist destination you would think the front desk would be ok with giving some directions or advice on certain things considering the wifi is not free. But they made is feel like we were annoying by asking simple questions. All in all I'm sure this is a decent place for the price we paid but I would not rush back. "ONE OF THE REAL NICE HOTELS IN NEW YORK CITY"
I have to say that this hotel is is one of the real nice out standing hotels in the city , the whole staff are super very warm , nice , kind , good people , they are very kind and sweet to the guest ..It pays to give it a try , u will not regret !!! The staff were welcoming and charming for our first-time visit to New York. The rooms were clean and organized. The services were great when we requested fro taxi cabs, locations, etc. We did not use the hotel bar because we wanted to experience the city's nightlife.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best bang for your buck"
The hotel is clean and the staff is very courteous. There's a little bar in the lobby and a closed terrace if you want to enjoy a cocktail... or your morning coffee because there is no coffee machine in the rooms (you have to pay for your Starbucks coffee also). I noticed that the staff spoke in English, Spanish and even Italian. The rooms and the bathrooms […] are a little small (we were 4 people sharing two double beds), but very clean. If you want WI-FI Internet, you must pay 12.95US$ for 24 hours and the access is limited to one device... so if you have an iPad and iPhone and want WI-FI access on both, you must pay 12.95$ TWICE. That being said, it's located in the East side of Manhattan and a little far from Time Square, Rockefeller Center and the rest of the good stuff. You can shop at Bloomingdales (Lexington between E59th and E61st). If you don't plan on using your car in the city, you can park your car at the hotel for about 30US$ a day, which is pretty cheap by NYC standards. However, you will have to budget between 10$ and 15$ to get from the hotel to Time Square. Or, you can commute by Subway. The closest subway station is Lexington and 59th and it's about 6-7 blocks away (10-15 min. walk) from the hotel. The "R" or "N" train will bring you directly to the main attractions. At the end of the day, if you plan to just sleep and shower during your stay, it's a clean, cheaper alternative to other hotels located in Midtown or closer to the heart of the city.
