The hotel was nice and the staff was very friendly. The room was small, but nice. Great location for walking to a ball game at Wrigley Field. Only complaint was the parking -- it's a little difficult, but once we figured out where to go, it ended up being fine. We will definitely stay here again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Enjoyed our stay. Rooms were small but efficient. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great location. Close to public transport, easy walk to bars and restaurants, 15 minute walk to wrigley. Will stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Majestic Is a Great Hotel"
Enjoyed stay immenselyGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The room is small, but cheap mini bar is a plus!!! The hotel was within walking distance to Wrigely Field. The front desk personnel was helpful to local restaurants. There is on-site parking for $22 a night or parking on lakeshore drive if you want to move your car M-F at 7 am. Might stay here again, but had a great experience!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Have visited Chicago many times and stayed in many hotels. This was the first time for the Majestic Hotel. Loved the location on a beautiful tree lined residential street. Convenient for the Steppenwolf Theatre. Close to Lake Michigan. Felt like a European boutique hotel. Small hallways, and we had a small queen bed room. However the amenities were […] good, and the bathroom was roomy. My husband much preferred this hotel to hotels on or near Michigan Ave. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Within walking distance to Wrigley Field and the EL train -- can't beat that! Very clean hotel and room, and very nice staff too.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very nice hotel within walking distance to Wrigley Field and many good places to eat. Very friendly and helpful staff. Parking is away from the hotel but no problem as we did not drive during our visit and even if you do drive it is a walk of a few blocks. I recommend this hotel to anyone visiting North Chicago.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Like living in Chicago"
I have lived in Chicago in the past and I have stayed at hotels just for visiting. The night I stayed at The Majestic felt like when I had previously lived in Chicago. During the day, I was able to spend time in the downtown Chicago area but as it got later it was nice to experience the atmosphere and uniqueness of the smaller community for which The […] Majestic resides. My girlfriend and I went and got food at a near-by restaurant then took a very long walk by lake Michigan. The area was clean and the residents were very friendly. Nearly everyone smiled at us and we felt extremely safe. A few of the things we observed on our walk were, dogs playing in a park, people chatting by the lake, kids playing baseball, an outdoor yoga class, a "bird and butterfly habitat" and joggers and bikers on a path. It seemed like a very open and friendly community. I didn't even spend that much time in the hotel to be honest, just way too much to do and see. There is so much more to Chicago then the downtown area and the location of The Majestic allows the traveler an opportunity to experience the rich and unique culture of Chicago. I am from Detroit and live in the metro Detroit area, you often have to drive several miles and all over the area to get the culture and experience you get in one neighborhood in Chicago. "Wrigley Field and Downtown Sightseeing"
We loved the hotel and e staff. We came to town to see Chicago and go to a Cubs game. This hotel is ideally located so you can walk to and from the game. No waiting for a bus or the train. The rooms are not small. We had 4 people in each room, and had plenty of room. Staff was super helpful and e beds were the best! Loved it and we will be back.Genuine Expedia guest review
Wonderful location, walked to Wrigley and restaurants. Easy cab ride from Union Station. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfy! Definitely plan to stay here again!Genuine Expedia guest review
"warm, frowsy, comfy hotel"
It is very hard to forgive the hotel for not making the Chicago Blackhawks' Stanley Cup playoff game available on TV while we were there - regardless of their explanations, apologies and their particular hotel TV service. Also, they charge extra for TV internet service,m which is not advertised.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Chicago get away."
The location and quietness of the hotel was perfect for my wife and I. The staff was both friendly and helpful. The hotel was close enough for us to walk to most places we wanted to visit. The nights we had to catch a cab to a venue/event were more than affordable since we weren't more than a couple of miles from downtown.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel for a couple"
Nice quaint hotel located in a quiet neighborhood. Although the rooms were smaller than we expected, they were comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Lovely boutique hotel"
I would highly recommend the Majestic. As other reviewers have commented, the rooms are small. However, the beautiful interior and excellent customer service more than makes up for it. I will definitely stay here next time I am in Chicago.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect for Wriggley field outings."
Great location to walk to Wriggly-ville. Parking in garage on Lake Shore worked great also.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Close to Wrigley, and bars. Very helpful staff. Quiet street. Rooms are a bit on the small side but very nicely furinshed. Parking around the corner in a upscale buildings garage. Great place at a reasonable price. Didn't feel like walking back from the Cubbie Bear so got a cab, fare was only $6 for 3 people. Yeah its that close Good timeGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great for cubs games"
We stayed for a cubs game and it is in walking distance. Therr parking is a little weird. The hotel had a lot of character and old charm.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Hidden Gem - Boystown-adjacent! Great location!"
Cute hotel...interior a little dated but clean and comfortable. Great neighborhood - close to Boystown.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was a lovely little inn -- very convenient, safe and charming close to everything. The room was very small, but comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great little place tucked away in Lakeview!"
Perfect location if you're in town for a Cubs game and want to emerse yourself in a great Chicago neighborhood. The in-room honor bar was cheap (12 oz beers for $2) and the room was small but comfortable. Bed was so-so in terms of comfort and and the floors above were really squeeky. Staff was friendly and helpful. Easy and short walks (less than a […] mile) to good food (highly recommend Ann Sathers for breakfast - get the cinnamon rolls!) and fun bars (loved Murphy's Bleachers and Sports Corner for gameday drinks with other sports fans). Only downside is that we couldn't find a way to cross the big road and get to the lake. One of my favorite things about Chicago is walking along the lake and we couldn't do that easily from this location. Will stay here again when we go to town for a Cubs game. nice, comfortable, quiet room. Good bed, nice robe and towels . Really appreciated the soaps, etc in pump bottles ; great replacemnt for all those wasteful, tiny, plastic bottles and tiny soaps. "Cute neighborhood and nice hotel"
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The elevator was being worked on so they carried my bag upstairs for me. The boutique hotel has a local feel to it and I slept well on the bed. "very friendly and helpful staff"
It is a very nice hotel. Everyone was very nice and helpful.. The room was nice. It was a little small. The honor bar was very reasonable. Thank goodness it was there. I was starving! So I helped myself to the snacks. The bed was very comfortable. Only bad thing is they do not have there own parking. You have to park a block over and pay for.24hrs. "Perfect for One Night"
For the price, location and parking available it was a perfect spot! The staff even stood out in the rain down the block to send taxis down to the hotel for not only us but 2 other groups waiting to go out for the night. The front desk staff were exceptionally helpful, personable and professional. Namely, Richard. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. […] Thanks Majestic! The name lives up to the service!! "A Place To Lay Your Head"
The price was right in that I was simply looking for a place to lay my head. The room was clean although perhaps a little dusty. It seems that the room I was in was the "hotels.com" room as I read another review that mentioned they were in the room right next to the elevator (the elevator is pretty much in your room right on the other side of the wall […] from the bed). I didn't hear the elevator as I am a heavy sleeper. Make no mistake though the room was small. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"A Delightful Hotel"
What a great hotel...small, personable, cozy. Beautifully furnished and excellent service. Great location in Wrigleyville, easy access to shopping and entertainment. Also easy to find for visitors to Chicago!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beautiful quiete place"
Comfortable room with bath tub (important point for me), old style decoration. I will stay there for sure if one day will come again to Chicago.Genuine Expedia guest review
"quaint and delightful"
A true boutique, authentic and kind. Casual, but formal sensations, echoing an era of intrigue and privacy. Perfect for quiet and calm. Complimentary breakfast was sugary, sufficient, and generous. A great choice, no nonsense.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Decent hotel, but a bit cramped"
It's clear that the Majestic is an older building, so one shouldn't expect fully updated furnishings. The carpeting in our room was quite worn and dirty, however. That detracted a bit from the overall charm. The noise level wasn't too bad, so overall our 2-night stay over a shopping weekend wasn't bad. I had slightly higher hopes though, but I would […] still recommend this hotel. Just keep in mind that it was built during a time when everything was smaller, including the size of the occupants. Bathrooms are small, and the elevator is quite possibly the smallest I've ever been in. If you and your spouse are carrying luggage, plan on multiple trips in the elevator. It's that small. "Great Value in Lakeview/Boystown"
I have stayed at The Majestic Hotel many times and have always been satisfied. They offer a great complimentary breakfast and the mini prices are the cheapest I have ever found anywhere in the world.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The beds were comfortable, and the place was quiet. This isn't a trendy hotel but I liked how calm it was. The rooms were small, but fine if you're not traveling in a big group. Definitely wouldn't recommend the place for kids. The rooms were also really hot, but cracking the window fixed that (at least on a very cold night in November). My room was […] ready before check-in time, which was great because I arrived early. This was very convenient to express bus routes downtown and in a safe neighborhood, but still out of the way enough for those who want to step away from the bustle. Received offer of upgrade to suite for $20 at check-in. Did so, and room was large, comfortable and clean. "Lovely stay in a nice neighborhood"
I had a great stay at the Majestic and will stay there again. The location was good and the room was very clean and comfortable -- definitely no bedbugs which is a major criterion for me! Convenient walk to Wrigley for a game. The hotel is located on a street in what seemed to be an upscale safe neighborhood. "Nice hotel, close to Wrigley, but..."
...our room was extremely small. We have a walk-in closet in our home that has more room than the sleeping area in our room had. Otherwise, we had a very good experience. The staff was excellent and very helpful. The breakfast was the normal continental breakfast, but was very well prepared and laid out; and was kept stocked at all times.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice for short term"
The room was a rather small, but cumfortable. The bathroom was roomy. Overall it was a nice room for a day or two.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great, Quiet location by Wrigley Field"
Wonderful hotel. The only downside is the parking garage - which is located a few blocks away and not marked very well.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not worth the Money"
The room was way too small. You could not get around the foot of the bed without bumping into a protruding shelf holding the TV. Only one side of the bed had a night table/tiny desk. There was limited surface space to put things down. The room and the lobby smelled musty and old. And it was extremely overpriced for an inferior hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
Better than expected, am very pleased...If I am ever in Chicago again, would stay here again and would recommend. Very helpful staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
