This sprawling business, commercial, and entertainment center never lets up. It is a modern Japanese phenomenon with shopping arcades, flashing neon signs, stand-up noodle bars, and side-street video screens. Some two million people pass through the train station alone. Futuristic-looking City Hall offers a free observation deck with great city views.

You can't beat this location. It is steps away from Shinjuku metro station - which means you can get anywhere with next to no subway changes. Hotel has no room service but is otherwise luxurious (has a little convenience store and vending machines on every floor which helps). Spring for the corner rooms as they have amazing views of the city. Cheap compared to Cerulean and other complementary hotels. Highly recommended.

Very convenient hotel. Easy to deal with. The view of Mt. Fuji from the lobby on a clear day isn't bad either.

My wife and I spent 5 days in Tokyo at the Century Southern Tower Hotel. We were very happy with the staff, the central location and the room, would definitely recommend the hotel.

Nice location with Shinjuku station just around the corner. Great view on Mount Fuji (on a clear day) from the reception hall at the 20th floor. Rooms are quite spacious for Japanese standards. No minibar but there is a fridge.

Within steps of Shinjuku station, major department stores and resturants! Wonderful view from rooms since hotel starts on 20th floor of office building! Newer hotel with typical great service of first class Japanese hotels. Only complaint maybe the smallish lobby and fittness center? Wonderful recommendation, especially if you can get a great rate thru hotels.com, as we did.

This hotel is first class in every way. We spent 5 nights in a corner double room with great views of Tokyo. They have a very nice lounge on the 20th floor for cocktails and snacks. The staff is very friendly, super accommodating, and spoke very good English. The hotel is a couple of blocks from the amazing Shinjuku entertainment district and train station. It's also a short walk to Yoyogi Park and the Shinjuku Gyoen National Park, perhaps the most beautiful park we've ever visited. We got a very good rate through hotels.com, and our reservation went through without a hitch. We loved this hotel, and you will too!

In Tokyo terms, this hotel is good value for the money. Not inexpensive, but nothing in Tokyo is and you could pay a lot more for a worse room in a less convenient location. The room was excellent and the views were outstanding (the hotel lobby is on the 20th floor). Shinjuku is one of the sleepless areas, so if you're looking for nightlife, big-city lights and want to be close to a train station for travel to the other parts of Tokyo - you'll be happy here.

Not cheap, but then it is Tokyo. The Shinjuku area was a good place to be, and it's an easy walk (even with bags) to the hotel from the Shinjuku station. We arrived at Tokyo's Narita airport, then took the "Narita Express" (Japan Rail) all the way to Shinjuku, found the "South Exit" sign in English, and walked straight to the hotel. The hotel is modern and well-kept. The staff was very helpful (we were adding our daughter to the room at the last minute; they had to give us a different room to fit a cot in; no problem).
