Great spot along Gurney Drive with a pleasant walk to Gurney Plaza along the beachfront. Some excellent Hawker food centres just next to the hotel. If you are so locked into things like Starbucks (we weren't) there is one just five minutes walk away. Georgetown is a ten minute cab ride. Views from hotel room are either, at the back, a lovely outlook over hinterland towards Kek Lok Si temple, or from the front looking out over the bay. Stayed for 4 nights between 10-14 June. Initially my parents and I were allocated rooms on different levels. Requested to change and was granted. Room was spacious, clean and looked new. Puzzled why some commented that their rooms appeared outdated. Maybe different levels or high expectation. Set my expectation at the price I paid and I thought the […] room was great. Amenities were replenished when used up, including the Mentos candy, green apples and 2 bottles of mineral water. I would like to specially compliment the concierge Azmi. He was very helpful and friendly when I needed to rent a car. He even followed up with me the next day that everything was fine. On checking out, he attended to my needs for adhesive tape and raffia string to secure my carton of goodies, called a cab to send us to the airport and even loaded our luggages himself. Excellent service. I hope the hotel management receives this note of compliment. On location, although it is not in the heart of Georgetown, neither is it too far away. Therefore, it offers the peacefulness of facing the sea without the noise of the busy streets. Read more

We reached the hotel much earlier than the check-in time. There was an excellent lobby area to relax. The reception staff were very friendly, sympathetic and helpful. Even before the room was alloted to us, we were allowed to have complimentary breakfast. As the buffet spread was very large, we enjoyed our breakfast even though we are total vegetarians. […] The room was given to us as soon as it was cleaned. The room was bright with morning sunshine and clean. All the staff operating in the lobby area were very friendly and told us about the different places to visit in and around George Town. They also told us, names of malls, for purchasing different items. The chef was friendly and offered to make a pure vegetarian sandwich for our lunch. We were pleasantly surprised to see a couple of our American friends also staying at the same hotel. The Evergreen Laurel Hotel made our stay from 6-4-12 to 9-4-12 an enjoyable one. We thank all the members of the hotel for making our stay a memorable one. We wish them all the best. Read more

Hotel was very clean, the location is very strategic, and parking is very convenient. The receptionist was not very professional and a bit rude. Room service was not that quick. But all these are still bearable. I'll still come back to Evergreen again.

I needed to print my itinerary the night before departure and requested for the front desk to help print via an email if I can forward to them but they said I needed to print my own at the biz ctr and they can only help durin office hour as they are busy now. Hence I went down biz ctr but my file is PDF and they do not hv the software in the biz ctr […] work station. Only after voicing out my unhappiness on the service that they allow me to print via their FOM's work email and office. Great hotel to stay in - you really get value for money. Rooms are well maintained and clean, TV had good variety of channels. Location is not too bad - close enough to Gurney drive hawker centre and has a decent car park. Great for friends spending a 3 or 4 day trip in Penang.

良い点 ・ガーニー通りの中間地点で、利便性が良い。 良くない点 ・建物が古いせいででしょうか、廊下を通る人達の声が響いたり、お風呂の湯を入れる音がうるさく聞こえたりした。 ・バスタブの底が、黄ばんでいてヌルヌルしていた。 ・フロントや従業員のホスピタリティが感じられなかった。朝食を、とりたかったが、モーニングブッフェを頼んで無いからダメだの一点ばりで、仕方なくフロントに言うと、サインでOKだからの繰り返し。受付がだめだと言っているというと、しぶしぶついてきて、交渉して、食べられるようになった。全体的に、笑顔もなく、サービス業という感覚が無いのかな？ ＊エクスペディアさんに、注文だけど、web上でホテルへのオプションをもっとできるようにして欲しい。（朝食付、シービュ、高い階など）

住置不錯的一間酒店, 臨近海邊, 就算不在酒店內用餐, 往外走不遠就有多間食店(雖然比市內其他食店貴一點, 但還可接受) 房間整體不錯, 價位也很不錯. 只是Shower Gel 及Shampoo質素比較普通. 酒店有多層停車場, 可是路面較窄, 大型車必需少心駕駛.

このホテルは、台湾のエバエア、や長栄（EVERGREEN）という船会社をグループにもつホテルチェーンである。 元々は、台北にほど近い基隆という港町がこのホテルの発祥に地だと思います。 ペナンのエバーホテルはすでに建設されて１０年以上を経ているが、室内、共用部分共にキレイに清掃されており、快適性は充分である。 また、費用もリーズナブルであり、ロケーションも海の前と非常によい。レストランなども歩いて行けるし、カフェなどもある。 ただ、館内にレストランはあるにはあるがそれほど見るべきものはないし、リゾート感覚で使うには街中にありすぎるかな、という感じである。 ペナン市街地の他のホテルに比べて、リーズナブルであればまた使おうと思わせるホテルでした。
