We booked this hotel for only one night so we could tour the bioluminescent bay nearby. When we arrived at the hotel we were really sad we were going home the next day. The resort was amazingly beautiful. Huge pool with water slide and lots of fun! Room had 3 queen beds (main reason why we booked this hotel) and looked out direclty onto the huge pool. Beds were comfortable and the room was enormous. Restaurant/bar was good and affordable. Birds and turtles on the property very cool. A GREAT VALUE - we will definately stay there again and stay longer so we can enjoy the resort.

The customer service was excellent! DO NOT STAY IN ROOM 117 unless you like mold! They moved us to #128 which had less mold, but still hard for those of us that are sensitive and have asthmatic probs. (other reviewers mentioned this, why don't they fix it?) Finally, we got room 242, which was great. The beds are comfortable. The floors are not well kept, as there was a lot of sand on them, before we went into the rooms. I like to walk around barefooted, so I used a pool towel to sweep off the floors to avoid a sandy bed. The food was pretty good. It could be an incredibly special hotel if they fixed some of the issues there. Yunque National Park, is a wonderful day trip up road #119. We went all the way up to the end. The park was closed, but you can park on the road and it's an easy and very worthwhile walk to the end of 119. We saw lots of lizards, a giant snail, birds, flowers and waterfalls. The views are SPECTACULAR!

I was disappointed in the condition of the mattress in our room. The original mattress would just cave in when I would get on top. They had a 1-inch memory foam on top the original mattress but that didn't help much. Aside from that, they charged for coffee in the room. The hotel itself was pretty big and has 2 pools, basketball and tennis courts and mini golf but it doesn't seem like the property is being taken care of. There was a small area for kids to play on rides but there were spider webs all over.

The staff is different from person to person. One we met was quite nice while the other was a little cold. The facilities is only ok. Very humid room. The bed sheets are not very comfortable.

Fajardo Inn is gigantic. It has pools, pool bars, fitness rooms, and two restaurants. To be honest, I did not use any of it because the location is so amazing. It is less than 5 minutes to the ferry to Culebra and Vieques. A quick 20-30 minute drive brings you to kiosks, beaches, and El Yunque. For the price, the room size, and the outstanding location, you can't beat it. It is a solid stay if you are touring the area.

We had read reviews stating that the Inn was not friendly or very clean etc. We found just the opposite. The desk staff were really friendly, helpful and kind. They upgraded us to a better room for free (sometimes smiles and kindness from clients goes a long way). The room was clean and everything worked well. The pool was great and the location was also great. We didn't have any meals at the Inn so cannot speak to the restaurants. Give this place a try.

Rooms were simple yet complete. BEST BEDS, better then home. Room safe :) No fridge or microwave. Bathroom was not lit for makeup application and LACKED A COUNTER. Shadow wall shelves barely wide enough for my makeup bag. Used toilet seat as extra shelf most mornings. Hotel restaurants had extremely friendly service but VERY SLOW. Unique take in Mexican and "international" foods. Food was "ok", nothing spectacular. Reasonable prices for breakfast, no free continental meals (as warned). Eat off-site for best variety and authentic Puerto Rican experience. Elevator was out of order the entire week of our stay. Ice machine .25¢ Coffee machines in some but not all rooms... must purchase coffee grounds at front desk to use.

We had a great time, this hotel provided us with just what we needed to entertain our 7 and 8 year old.Very nice grounds and our kids like playing miniature golf and Tennis.Hotel was pleasantly peaceful and quiet, allowing us to relax and just have a good time.We liked the pool, was a little surprised that the pool bar was closed, but that was not a big problem. Staff was very friendly. We would surely stay here again.

We chose this place over the Conquistador because it was a little less expensive but as soon as we walked in we knew why. It's a very basic motel with the exception being the dozens of Mosquitos that were guests in our room also. I would not stay here again as it was cheaper but still not inexpensive (with fees, over $100 per night). In fact, I'd probably not stay in Fajardo again. It's not so far from San Juan which offers much more availability and better value.

When we first arrived they assigned us to a room that upon entering had not been cleaned. They apologized and gave us a different room further down the hall. The room was very musty smelling with no wi-fi or internet in the room, but otherwise not too bad. Unfortunately for us it rained the whole time we visited so it affected our ability to give the area a real chance. The hotel has two nice pools, a mini golf and pretty views that could all be enjoyed if the weather had been nice. We had to sign a legal document if we wanted to use a towel for the pools as well as acknowledge no life guards in writing. Customer service could be improved as we didn't feel as welcome as we are accustomed to in other travels and hotels. The restaurant, "The Starfish" had a delicious dessert that we tried. I think I could recommend this place if some improvements were implemented.

This hotel was great, very clean, very helpful staff, great room service, beautiful site (tropical bird cage, putt putt golf, super cool pool area), amongst many other good features. Only downfall, is its kind of up on a hill so you can't really walk anywhere, which was fine for us but could be a downfall to some. It was nice just to hang out there a couple days of our trip too. Plenty to do, and two restaurants on site. GREAT value for the price we paid.

The staff and service of the Fajardo Inn were great, but the rooms themselves left something to be desired. They were clean but very basic. Also, the Inn does not have central air and the wall-mounted A/C units made it somewhat difficult to control room temperature.

This hotel does have the facilities to consider it a "resort" but the basic room structure is poor. The bathroom. only has an overhead light so that shaving and make-up is almost blind. The bed pillows are just thin slabs of foam and the size is too large for the pillow cases to cover the ends thus you can sleep on a used surface very easily. The bedspread is the blanket and is not replaced daily. The window curtains don't completely close so the center remains slightly open and when the below window A/C unit is on the airflow blows them open even more.If you want ice you need to go back to the reception area and pay 25 cents for a bucket full. This is where the vending machines are located as well. I have been recovering from leg surgery and the necessity to climb the hill to reception is difficult. There is no parking at reception and I did not find any handicap parking close to anything. The restaurants are good and the staff is very friendly. Will I stay again? Probably because there aren't many places to stay close to the marina where I work on my boat, out of the water. At least I know of the shortfalls now.

We loved staying here, beautiful hotel. The room was huge, the landscaping breathtaking, and pool was fantastic!! I had a bad sunburn one evening and i stopped by the gift shop to purchase Aloe, they had closed already but the staff at the gym saw me stop, came out & unlocked the gift shop door, great customer service. I really liked that there was enough to see & do just walking around that the kids stayed busy. Lockers and bathrooms right by the pool was also a nice touch when you have children. The kids favorite part was the pool & water slide. Just a side note about the town- it was a two minute drive into town (hotel is up on a hillside) for a quick trip to Wal-Mart, a grocery store, or just about anything else you need. That was great because bought juice & snacks to keep in the little fridge inside our room. We also picked up some pool toys and sunscreen etc, which was as huge help. Also the Blue Igunana Restaurant- great food and service as well. We loved the salsa, the dinner entrees and the best-coconut flan. Great food! I would go back in a second!

We stayed 2 nights during the slow season. It was a ghost town, as we barely saw other guests. Room was okay, but nothing special--ground level with only window facing the street. Our 3yr old loved the pool.

The stay was very pleasant, but we missed having a mini-fridge in the room, or even free ice... we ended up buying an inexpensive cooler on the economy and bags of ice as they were cheaper than buying ice buckets at the hotel. The hotel has a "beachy" atmosphere, and sometimes a musty smell. Thank goodness the AC was working. Nice pools, nice restaurants, safe parking... Overall, we enjoyed our stay; we would return

The Hotel is perfect, special people there made it perfect, Like Jamil in the Mexican , and Jamilka in the Criollo restaurant , and most important Josian the eve front desk was super, helping us with a better mattress to sleep in. The mattress were too soft for one with back surgery, But Josian help out tremendously. He went out of his way to please us. I expected some nice music in the restaurants and specially by the pool, even if is weekday, we are on vacation and want to enjoy like is Friday every day..

Good hotel room for the price. Internet worked in the room without a problem, did not attempt outside the room. Good water pressure in the shower. Memory foam bed. Two pools; the bigger pool has a slide and basketball net (they provide the ball), as well as bar. When we went to that pool on a Friday afternoon ~ 5pm, there was no one tending the bar, but you could order your drinks from the restaurant and they would deliver it to you in the pool. Parking available. Hotel location a little shady, just make sure you don't stop the car for anyone while driving.

The hotel staff was very helpful and courteous, especially Maria at the front desk. She was polite, funny, and answered all questions and concerns. She gave us great tips on things to do and never made us feel like we were an annoyance. The hotel was overall comfy and made for a great stay. The pools were great. There was supposed to be a bar in the larger pool but that wasn't open. The pools close around 8 & 9, wish they had longer hours. Would visit again.

In my life I have never stayed in a hotel with such bad room condition. Cheaper motels like super 8 and red roof in are much better. Definitely doesn't deserve 4 out 5 rating. It should be no more than 1 out of 5 rating. Room has old furniture and bed was not at all sturdy. you sit, twist or turn the bed will shake and squeak. Mattress is very bad quality. cheap quality spring mattress. vending machine was broken. had dinner at the restaurant on premises- tex mex restaurant. Stale food and bad quality, ( this restaurant was recommended by front desk saying its really good food). Overall, i have never been disappointed so much by a hotel room than this. Stayed at range of motels and hotels, never had so bad experience .

Nice hotel but too scary at night. I had the last room at the end of the property. I only used the hotel for sleeping. I had a convention at a different hotel so all parking spaces close to my room were taken. I did not feel safe walking through the parking lot. Room was clean with a nice view to the water. The gardens are pretty full of mango trees and other fruit trees. I had a problem in the room due to the amount of rain that had fallen. They sent someone to assess the problem and they offered to change the room right away.

The check in process was so easy and we were really early so they allowed us access to the pools while we waited. The big pool was so dirty I wouldn't want to swim in it. The filtration system didn't seem to be on and it didn't even smell like chlorine. There was a ring of scum all the way around the pool which indicated to me the lack of cleanliness. The smaller pool in the main building was much cleaner and very relaxing. The room itself was nice but it was just a normal hotel room with an uncomfortable bed. I wouldn't stay here again. The onsite restaurant was very good and had awesome specials!

Room was neat and ready when we arrived. Hotel amenities are very good. Hotel location a little out of way but easy to get to and from sights and activities.

For the price, this is an amazing place. They have beautiful flowers on the grounds, a great lobby with nice furniture, and two great pools. The larger of the two pools is a lot of fun, with a water slide, swim up bar (which even if it's not operating is still fun to have as part of the environment), and plenty of places to sit, both in the shade and sun. The service was exceptional as well -- everyone was so nice! The front desk helped us with a number of things that were above and beyond normal service. The rooms were very clean as well. And to top it off, it is a reasonable walk to the Ferry dock (although you'll have to be a good walker and have luggage in a backpack as opposed to suitcases).

Clean and roomy. They charge extra for ice and coffee, and hold security deposits for pool towels and hair dryers. The larger pool was dirty, and guests were washing their mango-soaked hands and faces in the pool water. The grounds are pretty, but it's clear this hotel has seen better days. Air conditioners in rooms never dry anything out, and the floors and clothing and beds always had a damp feeling. For some reason, the maids open the doors to the outside when they clean the rooms, thus emptying out any cool air in the hallways and ushering in warm humid air. Staff are nice, and best of all, hotel is central to anything you're doing in/near Fajardo.

There is not much in Fajardo itself to do, but if you are staying there there is no better place to be than Fajardo Inn. It's a mini resort with two pools, two restaurants, friendliest stuff one can possible hope for. Wherever you go you'll need a car with the exception of Fajardo ferry. There my wife and I just walked.

It's a nice hotel. The staff is excellent. If you want a place to relax and have a family vacations with kids , that's the place. Prices are fair . It has two restaurants . If you want noise or a place to dance or a casino it is not an option for you.

NO RETURN. Very upset with this hotel. I stayed with my family for 1st time this weekend and I can guarantee that was the 1st and LAST. I did check-out at 11:30 am, indicating in "front desk" that my children were still in the pool and had 4 towels that I would return when go home. The clerk said, ok no problem! Later, when I returned the 4 towels $100 was already charged for them ($25c/u) and another $30 for NO have done the "check out". How can it be possible? This was not true. After my complaint the amount of towels was reversed, but NO the $30. Definitively, there is a lack of communication between employees. I’m from Puerto Rico and this type of situations keeps me away from staying on the Island. So, as I indicated earlier I avoid my sponsorship and share my experience with family, colleagues, forums and everyone that mention Fajardo Inn to be considering as an option. The worst customer service that I had.

Nothing specially good and nothing bad either. The only thing I have to complaint is that they gave us a cover as comforter!! I would probably agree if it is just a motel that cost 30. But NO WAY for a resort rated like this one. Stay in Vieques or Culebra usless you have no other choices. They are not walking distance from the ferry, at least not when you have luggages and bags. About 15 ~ 20 MINS to walk to the ferry with no sidewalk but a steep hill... 3/5 is the best I can say.

Location was great, but the hotel is run-down and not comfortable. Lukewarm water for our shower after BioBay. Lighting could be replaced and improved. Felt like a dorm hall from university. Lots of improvements are needed to make staying in Fajardo comfortable. Little competition in the area.
