No space for luggage and quite claustrophobic. Felt we were stepping over each other. Thankfully we only returned to room to sleep and shower. Bad service as messages not taken nor given. Again bad service from receiption when booking shuttle to airport. It did not call at hotel and left without collecting us. Had to resort to taking yellow cab not to miss flight.

I did my homework.. I checked out all of the reviews and was excited about the Time HoteI. I even booked in August for a fun Christmas weekend in December. We checked into our room and our King size bed was put into a room the size of a closet overlooking a brick wall. I had to move to one side for my husband to pass me to get to the bathroom or the other side of the bed. They did move us the next day after we complained, so I commend them on their customer service, but my initial reaction was disappointment!

The room was fine for NY, expensive and small but pretty typical, cool decor and set up. The bell service was the one highlight as far as the staff went. I travel quite a bit professionally and was shocked at how rude the front desk staff were during all of my interactions. The rudest one of all insisted I did not have a reservation while she was simultaneously using the wrong name in direct address with me so I kept correcting her and spelled my name three times but she still she sent me on a wild goose chase for an entire hour (no exageration!) and had me, not her because refused to help, call their main booking center, hotels.com, and the general manager when all the while my pre-paid reservation was there and she was just spelling my name wrong. She did not even apologize! (I should say that hotels.com was exremeley helpful and did a great job handing this difficult woman. The mix up had nothing to do with using hotels.com and once I connected with their agent she fixed things pretty quickly.) My check out receipt was also wrong and listed a lower amount than what I pre-paid and when I called to ask about it, the front desk staff again blew me away with rudeness. Rude waiter at the restaurant too. Ive never been motivated to go online and write a bad review until now. I stay in NY all the time and will never go back here - I dont get this place. Overt rudeness that crosses over to blatant hostility is pretty hard to find at upscale hotels.

Had to go into the city last-minute a nd was going to be in the Times Square area, so poked around for a known hotel with a good rate, have stayed at the Time before a few times and know what I get there. SMALL room but high-end bedding/product/decor ... great location ... great price. I always ask not to stay in a "red" room since the colors are crazy and not relaxing (was in a "blue" room this time, fine). Was a bit concerned that the room was on the street and would be noisy (I have learned my lesson there with other hotels) but it was fine, quiet. Lighting in room needs improvement, overall def recommend, when the price is good at the Time, I grab it.

The hotel itself was very nice and the staff were very friendly, for the most part. My only complaint is that our air conditioner did not work. Granted, it was November and we should be using heat, but as most people know it is not a normal November and the room is small, so it really keeps in heat. Our "air conditioner" let out only heat, and we couldn't switch it to cold, no matter what we did. We told the front desk about it multiple times but it was never fixed. We ended up having to turn off the "air conditioner" completely and keep the windows open in order to stay comfortable. For the price I paid, I would have expected the air conditioner to work... or at least be fixed after one complaint.

This hotel was nice and in an outstanding location, just half a block away from Broadway. We walked to everything, and it was very convenient for our short stay in NY. My only complaint was that there was no closet in the room, and things had to be hung up on the shower bar. So when you took a shower, you'd have to move everything off the shower bar so it wouldn't get wet. The room was quite nice though, very modern, with a comfy bed. Overall it was very well worth it.

We prepaid for a suite. The hotel assigned us a standard room. When I mentioned this, they put us in the suite we had prepaid, but there was a dripping water leak in the ceiling and there had been inadequate communication of this to the front desk. Because the hotel was out of suites and our party was one less than planned, we wound up staying in the original standard room and the hotel picked up a breakfast and a day's worth of parking, which was very fair. The hotel staff and manager were very nice and at no time did I feel that anyone was trying to screw us. In spite of all the difficulty I actually liked the staff and manager. The location is great - just a block from Time Square and in the middle of the theater district. The room was very nicely appointed as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would consider staying there again.

Went for 1st anniversary celebration. There was no bellman to help get our bags into the lobby, which got us a free breakfast that was OK. We were going to just carry our own bags to the room because there was no bellman, but were told that wasn't permitted. Instead, we had to wait nearly an hour for them to be brought by the bellman -- and that was only we had to call to remind them to bring them. Worst part of this crappy stay: street construction began at 1:30 AM and even on the 12th floor, it kept us up all night -- as if a jack hammer was next to the bed -- unbelievable. Staff was polite when telling us at 4 AM no other rooms were available until the next day. Our next day was a total loss in the Big Apple, as we'd been up all night. When we finally got another room the next day, we had to call again for our bags to be delivered while we sat in soaking wet clothes from a storm. TV remote stopped working Saturday night. They said it would be fixed and returned -- never saw it again and the channels cannot be changed without it. Charged $50 for minibar drinks we never drank, thanks to their automatic sensors that ring drinks up to your bill if you so much as move anything in the minibar. Happened to someone else in the lobby as well, but in both cases staff was quick to remove the charges. This hotel was a total disapppointment, in spite of its very polite, very incompetent staff. Won't recommend.

Everything about the hotel was decent, except for the quality of window glass they use in the room. We were on the 4th floor and could hear garbage trucks loading and backing up and construction going on in the middle of the night. This prevented us from getting a good night sleep. I understand this hotel is in the middle of times square/broadway, but our stay would have been close to ideal if the noise was shielded out better. Other than the noise issue, the room was clean and a decent size, especially for nyc. The staff was courteous. The fitness center was sufficient. For guests looking for a car service from the hotel to the airport, I would recommend booking it yourself rather than thru the hotel. I have used car services to get to and from the airport before in nyc and am familiar with the going rate. The hotel wanted to charge almost double than what I paid to use their car service. All in all, this is a great hotel for the price we paid. Perhaps request a room on a higher floor so you're further away from the street noise.

The doorman could not be found when I checked in. I had to wait downstairs for 20 minutes while he took his break as I had a rental car I could not leave unattended. Then once I checked in, I was told my luggage would be brought to my room immediately. After 35 minutes, I called the front desk, who said that the luggage would be right there. 15 minutes later, I called down to the front desk, who again said it would be right there. 15 minutes after that it finally arrived. The room was small (that is an understatement). If you turned the light in the bathroom on, it sounded like a 757 was taking off in the bathroom. I had made a second reservation for that same hotel after staying with my friends for 2 days and wanted to cancel based on my bad experience. I missed the 24 hour window by 3 hours, and they would not cancel it. I spoke to the front desk twice, central reservations twice, and the on-duty manager. The reservation could not be cancelled. I went to check into the hotel. When I got to the front desk, I was told that my reservation had been cancelled.
