"Times Square Nugget"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a week and were glad to find a hotel right in the heart of Times Square. The service was definitely top notch! The front desk was courteous and the concierge was very helpful, recommending great shows and restaurants. Our room was nice. It could've been a little larger. But the bathroom was a good size and the size of the TV's and the fact that they played HD was a bonus. Also, the bed was quite comfortable. The cleaning staff did a fine job of keeping up the room. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to others.
"Consistency. You can depend on it."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Finding a "GOOD THING" these days can get harder and harder. For this reason when you come across a 'good thing" it is priceless. One of the most recent "good things " that I have come across is the PARAMOUNT hotel in Times Square. The first thing that I leave the hotel impressed by is the professionalism and commitment that is demonstrated by the staff. Starting with the front desk where I was checked in by Catherine and continuing until the driver which I received at the hotel hands me my luggage at the airport. Catherine followed the details of my visit until the moment I checked out. The only dislike that I had which eventually i got over was the view of the alley where the boiler or some loud machine was placed. I know that from now on I will request a room that faces anywhere but there. If you are going to New York and plan on taking in Broadway there could not be a more perfect location. I love this hotel so much I find myself wanting to travel to NYC more. I cannot wait until my next visit to the PARAMOUNT which I hope will be in the next few weeks.
"Affordable Quickie in NY"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
We had a very good time and the hotel was close to work.

Very nice hotel, within walking distance to subway for access to Manhattan (take the 7 or E and you can get to grand central, times square, penn station). Just a few blocks to local restaraunts. The room was very clean, excellent staff, free shuttle to subway. Overall an excellent place to stay if your touring new york city. One note, if you are considering a "view room" save your money, the view is obstructed by a number of taller buildings (the hotel is only 7 floors). Overall an excellent experience and I would definitely stay again, especially at the rate because of the new hotel discount. If you plan to take a cab from the hotel call one yourself because the service the hotel uses charges a flat rate to specific areas and you can get a cab on your own for cheaper generally.
"Nice hotel in the theatre district"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012

"convenient,classy older hotel"
The staff members in the hotel were all very helpful and friendly. The hotel is super convenient to everything and reasonable by the exorbitant New York price standard. Also, the lobby and rooms are nicely appointed, but these plusses come at a cost - the rooms are somewhat cramped, the beds are comfortable, but too short, and the heating, cooling system, […] like many older hotels, apparently has to be on heat or cooling for the entire hotel at once. We were there when it was cold (in late April) after a warm spell and there was basically no heat. The showers only have half a glass door, something which seems to be the cool New York style now. I stayed at a hotel with this kind of shower in Tribeca last year. I consider this weird and have never encountered it elsewhere in the U.S.- maybe it's continental chic. Overall, one doesn't stay in New York to spend time in the room, so this is a good overall value in an area that is otherwise only for the wealthy. Read more

"Fitzpatrick Manhattan Hotel"
Everything was perfect from our check-in to the comfort and quiet of the room to the excellent restaurant. We had dietary restrictions and they accommodated us perfectly. We will return.
"Great place"
Very friendly, young staff in a nice hotel that's not one of the giant chains. Room was small but when you come to NYC, chances are you're going to be in the room very briefly. Comfortable stay and reasonably priced.

"NYC hotel"
Hotel was quaint. Rooms are small but that's NYC! Bar was small but bartender was great! Good location on Lexington.
Excellent in every respect and I'm not an easy grader.

"Highly Recommend"
Had a great stay, Friendly helpful service.
"Staff"
Staff was awesome...friendly accommodating and actually very kind and considerate as I was meeting an ex boyfriend for the first time in 3 months and they were so caring...I stayed an extra night!
"Would highly recommend"
Clean, charming, quiet, delightfully small for NYC with a comfortable bar to spend some quiet moments at the end of the day. Very comfortable. Since they were able to, they upgraded us to a slightly larger room on their own initiative, which was really nice of them.
my only complaint was the bar ,lacking in character warmth a real disappointment ,if your looking for a drink in a relaxing atmosphere this is not the spot .
"Fitzpatrick, Manhattan"
Only stayed one night, in city for a show. Hotel very comfortable, staff very pleasant and helpful. Have also stayed at Fitzpatrick Grand Central. Have really enjoyed our stays at both hotels.

"A petit Grand Hotel"
Very special place. Warm decor, great staff, super clean, comfortable bed. Nothing more needs to be asked in a city where you do not need a crowded lobby and people pushing.

"Fitz Fits"
perfect refuge in the city. everything you'd want to see is walkable, or easy access to good subway lines, plus plenty of cabs out front. very kind employees, beautiful little lobby, nice restaurant (simple elegance, but not intimidating), good service, lovely room, quiet, old-fashioned in a contemporary way, clean as a whistle, space for storage, soft […] & clean linens, nothing missing. And a hotel management who knows that a woman needs a magnifying mirror in the bathroom, and good makeup lights--that's just brilliant. Read more

"Great Small Boutique Hotel"
Wonderful room, bed and bathroom. Although our stay was short, checked in late and checked out early we truly enjoyed it.
"Fitzpatrick Manhattan Hotel get 5 Stars from me!"
We've stayed in this hotel for 2 days of R & R in New York city. We had a little glitch with check-in but it was quickly resolved and was upgraded. Service was impeccable. From the bell captain to concierge, they were very friendly and met every expectation. Will definitely go back to This hotel next we are in NYC.
Great location, especially to move around the east side of Manhattan. Quiet room since hotel is not on a corner location.
"Fitzpatrick - nice small hotel"
Location was wonderful, a nice, convenient spot between midtown and the upper east. As NYC hotels go, rooms tend to be small. Ours was on an air shaft and made for a single business traveler - a king (VERY comfy), one chair at the desk and one robe (although we got another one), so it wasn't exactly a posh weekend spot if that is what you want. Bathroom […] small, but all marble and granite. They do have bigger rooms I understand. Housekeeping brought us everything we wanted and the front desk staff was nice. Breakfast was efficient, elegantly served and not as outrageous as some hotels. Only complaints were 1) that the event planner came to the hotel to deliver a gift to us and she was told we were not at the hotel. Even after she went to the GC location to check there, and then checked back again at this location, still nothing and our hostess was very annoyed; and 2) note that they changed affiliated workout facilities, which kind of killed my inspiration :) All in all, the hotel served our purpose nicely and was certainly clean, well-kept and had consistently professional personnel in every department. "Shelter in the storm"
Arrived in NY wet and cold during a rare October snow storm. Staff made us warm and welcome with an upgrade to a suite. Staff provided great restaurant recommendations. The hotel is perfectly located near shopping, restaurants, and the 59th and Lex subway station for trips to the Met or to Broadway. (The subway is easier than a cab in a snow storm or […] after a Broadway show.) Great hotel and a great staff! Read more
"Awesome"
This hotel is really nice. The people working there filled all my needs during my stay. Definitely recommend this hotel!!!
"Great hotel!"
Perfect central location, friendly helpful staff, very attractive lobby, bar and rooms were super clean and comfortable (great bed and linens). Would definitely stay there again.
Nice hotel, but renovation was an inconvenience given the price.
"Fitzpatrick Manhattan Hotel"
Originally thought we booked by Grand Central and was worried about this locatin it turned out wonderful. The location is GREAT! Easy access to subway's, just few blocks from tour bus and Rockefeller Center. Wonderful stay and will be back.
"Great hotel"
Everything about this hotel was great ... location, cleanliness, and a great staff.
"Disappointed"
This hotel did not meet my expectations. It is not worthy of 4 stars. Its positives--friendly staff, clean and good location. Its disappointments--small rooms that are tattered and worn. For example, the lamp shade in my room was misshapen and the bolster pillow on the bed was missing a button and was threadbare. The carpet was worn and stained. Not […] a horrible experience, but not what I was led to expect. Read more

"Fantastic Staff"
I was pleasantly surprised immediately from arrival through checkout. The entire staff and I mean the ENTIRE staff were fantastic. The doorman was very polite and helpful - a terrific first impression for the hotel. The registration people were helpful, courteous and informative and the bartender we hung out with to close out our night was the best. […] Very welcoming environment and we'll definitely stay again when we're traveling about the upper East Side and midtown. Read more
"The Fitzpatrick Manhattan Hotel"
This is a high quality hotel for a reasonable price. It's near all the shopping of 5th and Park Ave. but the best draw about the location is the proximity to Central Park and the theater district, at least for me. The staff was courteous and helpful. The room larger than expected and well appointed. I would and have recommended this hotel to my friends […] and family. Read more
"Great hotel in perfect location for our needs"
Suite was clean, spacious and well appointed. A pleasant walk from Grand Central. Location was perfect for our needs, this trip. Restaurant had good food and both restaurant and hotel, great service. Would stay here again!
"Nice hotel, central location"
Nice hotel, friendly staff, comfortable room. Central location.
"Exceptional"
This hotel was a 5 star for sure! Excellent service. The room was a good size and the hotel was in a great location for the money. Walking distance to everything. I was pleasantly surprised! I know people were paying more for hotels in the area and not getting as exceptional of a deal! I even got free wi-fi from AT&T in the room. The bed linens were […] super comfy! Great place! "Loved The Hotel"
The room was too small could hardly move around
"Perfect Hotel"
We loved this hotel. Location, cleanliness, excellent quality service. Our 3 kids enjoyed too. Very friendly staff. We finally found a hotel that we really like in NYC.
"Bumped with Confirmed Reservation"
I had a confirmed reservation at the Fitzpatrick Manhattan which was half a block from all of my meetings. Upon checking in, they "claimed" there was unexpected flooding to 10 of the rooms and required me to the Fitzpatrick Grand Central, 14 blocks away, a cheaper and inferior hotel. They gave me some cab fare, a free drink coupon, and said that's the […] best they could do. The cab fare was insufficient to cover my trips back and forth between meetings. C'mon, flooding in July? In the middle of a heat wave? 10 rooms exactly? This inconvenience added an hour-per-day commute while cabbing back and forth between my many meetings and my newly relocated "hotel office"... And finding available taxis in 95+ degree heat just added to the inconvenience. I later casually asked the doorman and bartender how the flood damage repairs were coming along and they didn't know anything about it. Nor did two associates who did manage to keep their reservations there. I suspect a rock band or some "famous" people needed some last-minute rooms and they just bumped people at random. Very dissatisfied with their "hospitality." Read more
"Nice hotel"
This was my first time in NYC and I must say the hotel was a good find. The Fitzpatrick was very nice and the staff were always attentive to help make our stay comfortable. The room we had was smaller than expected but it wasn't a factor in our overall stay. Location was great for subway and shopping. I would definitely stay here again!
"Great stay in Manhattan!"
This hotel was far better than expected; it was very clean, friendly staff -- PERFECT location. It was close to so many fun places. Thank you for a great way, we will be back!
"Excellent value, old style"
The room was terrific. Much bigger than most Manhattan hotel rooms and very comfortable, like a throwback, which brings to mind the decor. It's your grandmother's house. A little stuffy. But well preserved. Not a destination, but a great bedroom.
"Great Choice"
This hotel is a great choice. Very clean; gracious front desk staff. Restaurant right in the lobby and a prime location...within walking distance to Radio City Music Hall and The Museum of Modern Art. Great shops abound...even Bloomingdales! My only complaint would be that the room was very small and the bed not as comfortable as I would have like […] d. Read more
