Finding the hotel was tricky, but we finally found it. We stayed only overnite, but it was nice. It was a Kibbuzt a working farm. The countryside was beautiful, peaceful and romantic. Nice place to stay, but no shopping close by.
"Jerusalem Inn Hotel is a great choice"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 13, 2012
Pros: - location, location, location! near Jaffa Gate - competitive price - clean rooms - tea/coffee + refrigerator in room Cons: - street noise can be significant - breakfast is not great - some newly renovated rooms have construction flaws, such as bathroom doors than cannot shut, or no hot water in the miniature bathroom sink, and poorly operating balcony doors.
"Great location, friendly personnel, nice food"Reviewed by Svetlana L. of "New York" on Apr 5, 2012
We have stayed in Park Hotel Jerusalem one night in March 2012. Both our rooms were comfortable and clean. Hotel personnel was very helpful and friendly, breakfast was great (huge variety); dining hall is beautiful. The location is very convenient and close to everything. I highly recommend this hotel.
"Great hotel for the price!"Reviewed by Helen Wa of "Dallas" on Mar 31, 2012
Highly. Recommend this hotel for a short or long stay. Very professional staff and great location!
"The most wonderful hotel experience"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Mar 29, 2012
This is the place where you have to stay! An historical landmark and the most elegant and luxurious hotel combined with the close proximity of Jaffa gate makes for an unforgettable experience. Highly recommends.

"Palatin Hotel"
The rooms are very small but modern, clean and functional. The dining room is very charming and the breakfast spread sufficient. There is no elevator. There are clubs/bars that surround the hotel and patrons are loud well into the early morning hours.
"I liked the location and staff"
We really In joyed the hotel, not fancy But very warm and friendly, great staff
"Best option in Jerusalem"
If you are planning to visit Jerusalem, STAY at Palatin Hotel, excellent location, Rosa speaks several languages, great breakfast and rooms. Also a good cafe is located a few steps away (Cafe Aggripa - ask for Noah).
"Very, very small room"
This hotel is in an excellent location & is very inexpensive. Having said that I would recommend this hotel for only the heartiest backpackers. The room is tiny. The bathroom is even tinier. There were no dressers or drawers. We literally lived out of our suitcases. There was only one useable electric outlet. There was no electric outlet in the bathroom. […] The TV was modern & that was the only modern amenity. The staff was helpful & friendly. The breakfast was adequate & good but not at all equal to the 4 & 5 star hotels. There is no elevator but the staff was very helpful in carrying our bags. If you are roughing it - this is the place. Read more
"charming, simple hotel in convenient location"
Palatin is a charming small hotel in a very convenient location--easy walk to Ben Yahuda and Jaffa road areas. Reasonably pleasant not long walk to old city (Jaffa Gate side). Pretty close to Mahane Yehuda market as well. Quiet, on a pedestrianized street just off major roads. The rooms are very small but nice and with a bit of charm. Very helpful and […] welcoming staff. Pleasant breakfast roon with prefectly fine food. A homey oasis in a sometimes over-tourist-crowded city. Read more

"Hotel Palatin-ugh!"
I guess I'm about 35 years too old for this hotel. It's in a great location--Ben Yehuda St. neighborhood--and has two balconies overlooking the street that appear charming, but the hotel itself is seedy and depressing. Hotel front desk service varied from cursory to helpful. Room itself was a motivation to get out of it and tour. The first night my […] a/c literally went on and off every 15 seconds and kept me awake all night. The cleaner did go up to the room and made some adjustment to the a/c. The room was tiny and furniture was old. Bed linen was okay. Bathroom shower tiny. Read more
the hotel is very close to the old Jerusalem. within walking distance to most restaurants. if you don't mind to stay in the MOTEL (with price of the 3star hotel) than it is for you. another drawback is no elevator.
"A Homey Hotel"
Palatin is located in a great area of Jerusalem. It is next to the lively streets of Ben Yehuda and King George filled with restaurants, shops, and night-life. Just a 5-minute stroll to the market and a 15ish- minute walk to the Old City at Jaffa Gate. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. There were some surprises, though not necessarily bad […] surprises. The hotel is three-stories high and does not have an elevator. A kind man who worked at Palatin carried our luggage up to our room; so this was clearly not a problem. There was only a shower, no bath-tub. We turned in our room key to the receptionist before leaving the hotel and picked it up from them when we returned to our room. The reception area is 24-hours. We did not have any issues because of this. On some nights, we got back to the room around 2am. The double bed was actually two twin mattresses placed together in some form. However, it was EXTREMELY comfortable. Palatin provided two very puffy and soft comforters and many extra pillows and a blanket. Breakfast was included and was yummy. Tea and coffee is free and available 24-hours. The hotel arranged for our ride to the airport and allowed us to leave our luggage at the hotel after we checked out. We spent four wonderful nights at Palatin. Read more
"Great location and service for the price"
A good, affordable hotel smack in the middle of the most interesting area of New/West Jerusalem, with both the Old City and even the Bus Station within reasonable walking distance. The rooms are not exceptional, but fine by European standards, and the WiFi is free, unlike fancier Jerursalem hotels that really rip you off. What really impressed me was […] the very kind and helpful staff. They put an amazing amount of effort they put into helping me orient myself and with my tour and travel arrangements, even when they weren't getting commisions. The service is truly exceptional, even among much ritzier classes of hotel. Read more

"Good location, but smoky"
Location was great, but room was smoky, one of my pet peeves of staying at a hotel. Generally, for the price, everything else was alright. Breakfast was good and the staff was helpful, especially when helping me set up a tour. Rooms are worn, so don't expect luxury - just the bare basics. Hotel is near a good shopping area, but Israelis apparently like […] to stay up late and can be loud, so hotels get a lot of noise from the street. The only reason I wouldn't go back is the cigarette smoke that infiltrates the rooms. Read more
"Great Location at a good price"
This location is great. Right in the middle of all the action. Only ten minutes from the old city. The room was solid, but not spectacular. There were 4 different people behind the desk while I was there and two were very helpful and two were not. Overall it was a pleasant experience.
"Palatin Hotel - in heart of where you want to be"
Hotel was pretty basic and clean, staff was great, price was reasonable, and the location was exceptional.
"Palatin Hotel"
Pros: - Great service. The staff were all very nice and accommodating, which is difficult to find in Israel. - Great location. Right in Jerusalem, convenient to most attractions. - Has air conditioning. Cons: - The standard room looked like it hadn't been updated in at least 50 years. Very old shower, hair dryer that barely worked, old and tired walls, […] carpet and furniture. Need renovation and updating desperately! - Room was extremely small. I felt like I was staying in a hostel but paying twice as much. - The breakfast is terrible and minimal. - No fridge in the room or ice machine. Read more
"Palatin-Jerusalem"
This is a small hotel with no elevator. That being said, they are very helpful at getting your bags to and from your room and the entry level. The owners are very nice and very accommodating. The breakfast is small, but, has everything you need to have a great start to your day. The hotel is an easy downhill walk to the old city (about 15-20 minutes). […] A little tiring on the way home at the end of the day, but, still very doable. There are great walking-only streets all around the hotel with shopping and dining. The rooms are small but very clean and very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again for the location and hospitality were great. For those of you that are driving into the city, you must know that arriving here by car can be challenging. If you are relying on a map alone, just going down Agripas street won't get you there. Just where Agripas dead-ends into a walking section, is where the hotel is. If you are approaching Agripas via Mordechai Aliash, turn into the pay parking lot at the shopping center just before Agripas (NOT the indoor structure, but, the one past it, outdoors). This is the parking for the hotel, but, parking is not included, you must pay extra. It is worth it to park here and leave your car for the duration and not try to drive in Jerusalem again until you leave. It is a bit pricey, but, easier to park and pay than to drive in this city! "Simple hotel with great location."
Located 6 blocks from Jaffa Gate to Old City, on the bus line to Yad Vashem Memorial, good restaurant options in the area.
"Good location"
The location of the hotel is great, A block away is Jaffa street which leads down to Jaffa gate in the old city. A block from the cheap buses to Tel Aviv or other cities. In the center of the new city. Hotel is up a flight of stairs. Room small but ok, good bed. bath tiny, breakfast minimal.
"Good central location"
Hotel was fine for a short stay. More like a Bed & Breakfast / Guest House than a full hotel. We arrived about 0330 - there's no lift, but the guy manning reception helped carry the bags up. Room was fine, although a bit small. Bathroom (shower only) was fine. Breakfast was OK, although smaller in quantity & variety than a typical larger hotel. Quite […] a lot of noise from the street outside, although this didn't bother us as we were back late both nights. Excellent location - close to Jaffa Road & c. 15 mins walk to the Old City. Friendly & helpful staff. Read more
"Location/service"
I have stayed at the Palatin many times over the years, initially for location..The hosts are very nice( I feel like I'm coming home when I get there)...it is a simple place, the breakfast fare is simple, but adequate, clean & they try to please..free wireless internet...I have left items there in past & always knew they would be safe & returnedto me […] (usually on next visit)..if you want to be in the center of Jerusalem with access to whatever you may want or need there, the location can't be beat, especially for the price. "Great Location"
Staff is nice but they are not always at the front desk, so you have to wait for them to come by. Location is great, within walking distance of the Old City.
"Good for short stays"
Small room but quite comfortable. Satellite T.V, A/C, and fast, free wireless internet. What else does a traveler need?
"Great Location"
The area for this hotel is outstanding. Rooms are small but staff really tries to please.
"good modest place to stay"
This was a good modest hotel, no whistles and bells. The staff was very helpful and accomodating. The hotel is located in the center of action in Western Jerusalem. The breakfast was not all that great in terms of choices. The room was clean and quiet.
"The Palatine Hotel in Jerusalem"
A nice little hotel in a quiet corner in the center of everything. Many restaurants and snackbars a few hundred yards away. TV and airconditioning. Rich breakfast. About 15 minutes walk to the Old city Good conditions at a low price.
"I Would Live at Hotel Palatin if I Could"
To start off, this is a small, family owned place. My wife and I came in at around 1:00 AM on a Sunday night and the man behind the counter helped us carry all of our heavy luggage up to our room and then proceeded to surprise us with an EXTRA LARGE ROOM FOR NO EXTRA CHARGE so we could fit all of it comfortably. There's fresh coffee in the breakfast […] room all day and all night long and fresh milk in the fridge. The people who work there are VERY kind and helpful. We were there the week of our 1st Wedding Anniversary and I wanted to make a special dinner for my wife. My wife had just been sick and we couldn't go out anywhere, so I wanted to make something special in the Hotel. The woman who works in the office was extremely happy to help get me the poles they use to make their Sukka so I could use them to make a Chuppah for my wife and I to eat under. Then she had her worker Salach help me for 2 HOURS make it look beautiful with flowers and white drapes and a table and 2 chairs...our Anniversary dinner was beautiful and it was ALL BECAUSE OF THE HOTEL PALATIN! I posted the pictures on facebook and everyone thought we were at a 5 Star Villa/Resort! Read more

"Palatin Hotel - Jerusalem"
The hotel isn't much to look at from the outside is actually fairly pleasant on the interior, although I heard from another fellow staying there that the rooms aren't as nice on the upper floors. I was staying on the first floor of rooms (effectively the third floor) which were fairly nice, my room was tiny and quite Spartan but fairly comfortable. […] The location is perfect, however, you're right in the main shopping area around Ben yehuda street, and only a short walk to the Jaffa gate of the old city. If you're traveling on a budget and can get a room on the lower floor it's a great place to stay. Read more
Great location. Super helpful and friendly staff. Would absolutely reccomend it!
"A comfortable stay at the Palatin Hotel."
The hotel is a 2 star rating, which I felt is very accurate. We were greeted with a warm welcome, from I'm guessing, the hotel owner. The room was clean, although pretty small, but this wasn't a big issue. The beds were also very comfortable. On the negative side, the TV only seemed to have 1 channel, which was in Hebrew. I didn't wish to watch the […] tv as I was on holiday, but a news channel would have been nice! - If you are going to provide a TV, then please provide some channels to watch. The breakfast was average, there was a fair selection of food. Location was great, a 5 minute walk to the main Ben-Yehuda Street, and a walking time of 10/15 minutes to the old city. Read more

Great location in Jerusalem but noisy at night (located near a square).
Un mot : Catastrophe
"Tæt på alle seværdigheder"
Værlset totalt nedslidt ingen elevator. men beliggenhed super, i roligt kvarter, 15 min gang fra den gamle bydel.
"Good choice for budget stay in Jerusalem"
We booked this hotel since we did not want to spend more than necessary for the hotel stay in Jerusalem. Many hotels are quite expensive, and last time we stayed at Dan Boutique at much higher rate, but were disappointed by the location and the staff, which were not really friendly. We stayed in Palatin for five nights with two teenage kids in a "mini […] suite", which was not really a suite but a bigger room with two single beds and a foldout sofa. The beds were OK, bathroom was renovated but very small. Breakfast was quite good, but the selection a little limited. Staff was nice and helpful. Location is really good. The value we got through hotels.com was excellent and in this price segment we can really recommend this hotel. Read more
