This is a good hotel for overnight hoppers wanting to catch early flight the next morning. So was our case, the free shuttle to and from airport sealed the deal with barely 5 mins of total travel time from airport to hotel. The positive on this hotel is the location, perfect if you have an early flight, and that is about all. My room was very dusty, they say that this hotel has anti-allergic treatment, I found hard to perceive, my room, carpet and bet were very dusty. The weather was great outside, I had to open the window to stay in the room since the place is too hot […] and the air conditioner was not working. The hotel was clean and served its purpose. We needed a hotel near the airport for an early flight. The hotel had a free shuttle that was available for us at 5: 15 in the morning. It worked out well. Other than the hotel's restaurant, there didn't seem to be anywhere to eat.

I did not like that we had to pay for everything such as water and for price of room we had to each pay 18 euros extr,a for breakfast and no complimentary, coffee or tea.I have stayed in better two star and three star hotels that have more to offer was a little disappointed since this is supposed to be a four star hotel.connie

Great, but the pork roast served in the restaurant was red and bloody in the center. When I commented to the waitress, she said it was okay, not rare. I guess your definition of rare differs from mine.

The Mercure hotel at Teagle Airport is the only airport hotel that is actually close to the airport. Other than that, it is okay, but there is nothing really to recommend it. You can take the shuttle to the airport, or walk, but that would be a hassle with luggage. It takes about 10 minutes. To get the shuttle to come to the airport terminal, you need […] to call, a hassle if you don't have a phone that works in Germany. An alternative is to get the airport information desk to call for you. Two things are worth noting about this hotel: 1) Teagle Airport will close sometime in the not too distant future at which time there is no reason to stay there and 2) The food in the one restaurant is good, but too expensive, 18 Euros for breakfast, even though it is nice, is just too much. Nothing special except the location. It is very close to Berlin Tegel airport and they have a free shuttle. Kitchen had good food too. Rooms are very fundamental, almost cheap in quality. I'd give a 3.5 but only had choice for even numbers so gave a 3.

Nice hotel bar; hotel does not have the 'drive#thru' flair of an airport hotel, is much more comfy and homy than that, yet it is really conveniently close to Tegel and has a great shuttle service that starts at 5Am and runs every 10 minutes. Really enjoyed my 1-night stay and would fully recommend it.

Very convenient to the airport. The breakfast at the hotel is very good and plentiful; furthermore, they start the buffet at 5:00 a.m. Even if you have an early flight, as we did, you will be able to start with a substantial breakfast. The hotel room was a little outdated; but, it was very functional.

I have never been so cold in a hotel room. The heat was on high, but the room remained cold all night long. The hotel is situated in a remote area. They took advantage of that fact with charging 4.1 Euros for a bottle of water. That equals $5.30. Hotel was not at the street address listed online - taxi driver had to call to get directions. It is right next to the airport, which was good for morning flights. It was a typical business hotel, with reasonable rooms, good service, and really good food in the restaurant.

The hotel was comfortable and had all the amenities including a bar. Need to pay for a code for wifi is the only negative point although the wifi worked well. The staff was courteous. The best part was a convenient shuttle which brought us to Berlin airport in less than 5 minutes.

The Mercure Hotel is well located within 5 minutes of Tegel Airport. The rooms are modern and well kept, I would advise giving their restaurant a miss if you can as the food/service are spotty at best at relatively high prices.

A friend and I stayed here one night prior to our flight home. This is a typical airport hotel: no frills, expensive restaurant, clean but generic rooms. The proximity to Tegel and the shuttle service were the reasons we chose the hotel. I had an unfortunate experience with a member of the desk staff, however. When trying to print out my boarding pass, […] I discovered that many other guests had also downloaded boarding passes, as well as other documents containing sensitive personal information. All the documents were on the computer desktop, available for anyone to open, print, extract information. I informed the gentleman at the desk. He told me that hotel staff cannot delete files from the lobby computer, but that it was no big deal anyway. I surely hope that no one using those computers had any financial accounts compromised. We were pleased at the proximity to the airport and the free shuttle service. We would have preferred if we could have reserved a shuttle spot the evening before our flight on our departure day. The beds were very comfortable. We had a very difficult time figuring out how to operate the shower.

We called the hotel when we arrived at Tegel Airport and they sent a shuttle to pick us up in less than five minutes (Note that the shuttles stop running at 11:30 pm; we probably got on the last one. The hotel is not air conditioned, which is just not acceptable for a 4 star hotel, especially on a very hot night. You can not advertise it as four star without teling your customers that is not air condiitoned. I would never have stayed there on a summer evening had I known that.
