The room was great, and the staff were very friendly. The room was a little old, but no real complaints. It's perfect for families and couples too. The only concern would be the distance from the actual city, but it was only a 15 minute drive and there wasn't really traffic when we went.Genuine Expedia guest review
"our place to stay in St. Louis, Mo"
Although this hotel definitely needs some updating, the room that we have to spread out really makes it worth it. They don't have an indoor pool which would be a plus with kids but hopefully summer won't be far away!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel, beds awful"
The bed was so uncomfortable that it ruined our stay. Everything else was great, but when you can't sleep, its not good visit. Service was very friendly, place was clean, layout of suite was convenient but beds were terrible. Can't enjoy your stay at a place with awful beds.Bummer.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

This hotel is a great place to stay. It has all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. This is my second stay at this property and enjoyed it even more than the first time, since now they have completed the renovation. Rooms have a full kitchenette with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, electric stove and oven, toaster with basic kitchen needs such as plates, utensils, pots and pans. The rooms are large with a lot of space and have a roll away bed , as well as a pull out table to use as a dinning table in addition to the computer desk. The location of the hotel is very quiet, which makes it nice for relaxation and a good nights sleep. It is close to the 270 Freeway which can get you anywhere in the St. Louis area in about 20 minutes. The hotel is a little tricky to find for the first time since it is located in an industrial park. There are several restaurants located about a mile away. The hotel also has a small breakfast room that offers basic morning start up items such as juice, coffee, oatmeal, cereals, and a variety of pastries. An added benefit to this property is that they offer free wifi as well as a small business center in the lobby to print out documents for free from the printer their. The small market in the lobby also allows for the purchase of beverages, snacks, and frozen meals without leaving the property. In addition to the above, the staff from the front desk to house keeping was very friendly, especially Norma from housekeeping. I cant wait to stay again.

Rooms were clean and staff were friendly and understanding. We did not partake in breakfast due to early soccer games. Once we did grab some fresh fruit they had in the breakfast area. Room gad a stove, fridge, microwave, and a dishwasher. No complaints. .
"Kind Housekeepers and Staff"

I stayed at this location close to three weeks ago and a housekeeper named Dianna was so kind and helpful during our stay. A woman who worked at the front desk, Tammy, was also very accommodating and helped us find great places to eat!
"Great place for a family of 5 to stay!"

We were very happy with the accommodations TownePlace Suites provided our family. We have three teenage sons that take up a lot of space! We stayed in a two bedroom suite - one queen bed in each bedroom and a pull out sofa bed. We also brought our own twin blow up mattress that we used so everyone would have their own bed. It worked perfectly! The room was recently updated and offered a very usable kitchen area and nice bathroom. The amenities of the hotel were not as amazing as other places we have stayed - limited breakfast options and a small outdoor pool - but our room, and the space it gave our family, more than made up for the lack of amenities. We will be staying there again!
"Works for a large family"

We had to make quick travel plans to St. Louis for a funeral. With the Cubs in town to play the Cardinals, there were no rooms at our usual place to stay in Fenton. We'd stayed at Towne Place Suites many years ago when the kids were younger. This time, we all went as adults. Five in a two-bedroom suite is a little crowded, but it's better than paying for two rooms. We survived just fine. This is a fairly average facility. The furnishings are basic. It's an unusual location on the edge of a business park, but access to Interstate 44 makes it quite convenient. The complimentary breakfast is VERY basic. Hard boiled eggs, muffins and bagels, some cereal, coffee and milk. That's it. The place is clean and quiet. It met our family's needs for this trip.

Split review. The rooms were clean and the staff were hospitable. We typically stay at residence inn's and these rooms were a bit small for "suites" in comparison. Requested additional linens/pillows and were informed that they were out if supplies. This was a bit underwhelming. That being said, this location was a good value for a quick evening's rest from the road. Not a place I would recommend for a multi-night stay.
"Team friendly for a long stay"

Our youth baseball team families stayed at the TPS in Fenton for 8 days and it was truly an affordable, accommodating hotel for our needs. With 12 booked rooms for so long, a couple issues are bound to arise (an air conditioning issue, a missed cleaning of the room, a couple warnings that we were too loud) from time to time and the staff was very friendly, fast and understanding in all of these situations. All of the rooms were very nice, smelled good, and it was nice to have more than just the standard hotel room for that long of a stay. If we were going to go back, we would certainly return.
"Best place for families in SW St. Louis County"

We stayed once again at this TPS location and on our most recent visit, it was for a death in the family so not the best of circumstances. I am reviewing this place again because we were only given a two day notice about the upcoming funeral and typically it's next to impossible to find a great hotel room in less than 2 days. The TPS in Fenton delivered! We are a family of four, our boys are ages 5 and 2, and the TPS not only made sure we had a two-bedroom suite, but they made sure we got it at a very reasonable rate! They have made a lot of changes to this location since our last stay. First off, they have updated the rooms! They were definitely outdated and I liked how they put in new carpet, new furniture, and even upgraded the TVs. Secondly, they now have a breakfast room! It's amazing how far this hotel has come for its breakfast. At one time you were lucky to find wrapped pop-tarts and danishes in the lobby. Now they have a really nice continental breakfast in their brand new breakfast room. I guess up next is having a hot breakfast with all the fixings! Of course, as with any Marriott chain hotel, the staff is always top notch and always eager to assist. We didn't experience any problems in our 3-night stay. But I do wish they would invest in a heated pool! Even in the heat of St. Louis, that water was absolutely freezing! Our kids loved it, I could stand it to a point, but after some time playing around, they were shivering. I also wish TPS would offer king sized beds! My wife and I sleep on a king bed at home and we are so used to it that whenever we are forced to sleep on a queen size, it seems like we're on a twin! So it is quite cramped, IMO. So bravo to the Fenton TPS! As long as we keep visiting St. Louis (we have family there so visits will definitely be in order) we will only be staying at the TPS if we aren't able to stay with a family member!
"Hit and Miss"

We like to stay in a suite if possible on vacation, mainly for extra space and to limit restaurant eating a bit. This hotel was nice for those reasons. The beds were very, very uncomfortable. The breakfast area was a little cramped. Plenty of food and staff were friendly. Worth our points visit, but not sure I would choose it for a paid stay with so many other options available.

If you are looking for a room with a view of the Arch and downtown, this is the wrong hotel for you. BUT, if you do not mind an industrial park and are looking for a quiet, clean hotel with a good price, right off the highway easy to get to downtown ST. Louis, easy drive to Route 66 then this is your place. We stayed 3 nights in a 2 bedroom suite. It was quiet, the rooms were clean, the bed comfortable and the kitchen had a full size stove with oven which I have only seen stove tops not ovens in suites so this was a plus. With your own kitchen, a continental breakfast is still served. The only downside is nothing to do with the hotel but in the construction there should have been 2 elevators, due to room location. If your room is at the far side of the parking lot and you are on 2nd floor, to get your luggage upstairs it is either haul it or take the luggage cart load up and go to the other side to get the elevator to go to 2nd floor and then reverse to return cart. Outside of that good hotel.
