"Perfect location and excellent accomodations"
Staying at the Towneplace Suites was wonderful- we were close to great restaurants and our family as we visited from out of town. The room was clean and spacious and we loved having the galley kitchen, very convenient! The entire staff was friendly and helpful. We would certainly stay here again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Excellent hotel and staff was great too. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. Room was immaculate and had every amenity you needed. The beds were a tad too soft for my liking, but the sheets and comforter were higher end than most hotels at this price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice stay BUT a bit disappointing"
Pros: The hotel was very clean and up to date overall. The breakfast food was delicious and of a wide variety. The breakfast area was clean and maintained. The lobby was stocked and clean. The staff was friendly, but didn't go out of their way. The hallway was clean. We really liked the kitchen and couch in our room. They were an added bonus. Cons: […] Our room had a few bits of trash left behind. In the kitchen there was a sugar wrapped on the counter. Beside the couch, there was a clear razor cover and two twist tops from a juice bottle. The staff was not able to take AAA membership rebate we had. They should be able to accommodate multiple rebates. Was not told about the $30 refundable deposit when we booked our room. At 4:25 AM the room next to us had an alarm go off for 5 minute duration every ten minutes for an hour. We couldn't sleep. I called the front desk after it went off three times. The first call, they didn't answer. The second time I called they told me they would check on it. Still the alarm kept going off. So I called a third time. This time they told me that the person next to us was with a company who frequently stays with them and that he would be getting up soon. So we endured the alarm. Worst night sleep in a hotel to date. I would stay at the hotel again and recommend it to others, but there needs to be a few changes. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Unfortunately, they tried to charge a $75 pet fee (which was not disclosed on the website). They removed the charge only when I prepared to cancel my reservation.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great staff and location"
Staff was great. Bed was a little too soft my liking but my husband loved it. Very clean overall. We only stayed one night but I would think a longer stay would be very comfortable. The location is right off the highway so you can get to Cleveland quickly, if you have to.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel close to the freeway."
We enjoyed our stay. The small kitchen was great for snacks and quick meals on the go. The sofa bed was rather uncomfortable, but the bed was great.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice clean hotel, great value"
This is our second time staying at Towneplace Suites (other time was in Harrisburg) and have come to expect clean facilities from this chain all around and our expectations were fully met. The hotel is in great condition and very clean from the lobby, hallways (carpeting) and the rooms of course. We were on the 1st floor so we didn't see/use the elevator. […] It's a pleasure when we stay at Townplace Suites now as we have a child and have no worries about him walking around without slippers. Wifi speed in our room was good and stable. In room kitchen, fridge and microwave are always a plus for families. On site laundry is another benefit. Breakfast was included, but offerings (cereal, milk, yogurt, muffins, bagels, bread, fruit - that's about it) were a little sparse compared to our other stay in Harrisburg. Any breakfast is still appreciated though. Hotel is located about 10 minutes from downtown Cleveland and rates were a bit cheaper. We'd definitely stay here again. "Beautiful Views of Manhattan"
Great stay, very convenient. It was unfortunate that we had to wait an hour for our transportation to Manhatten, public transportation gliche. Also the room smelled like smoking air being cycled through. But Hotel was great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall the Hotel was exactly as pictured and described on the hotel.com website. It is the 2nd time we have stayed there. It is a great location for us for family visits. Plenty of restaurants and entertainment especially with Crocker Park so close and Cleveland and it's surrounding eclectic neighborhoods so close.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Well worth it"
The hotel isn't too easy to find because it is behind another one, but it is close to the expressway. We arrived at night in a thunderstorm though, so that may have been part of the reason we had trouble finding it. The rooms are older but kept up very well.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Towneplace Suites Westlake, Ohio"
Although the description stated that breakfast was included, this consisted of packaged blueberry and other muffins, orange juice, coffee, etc. The hotel called it "Get n Go".Genuine Expedia guest review
"A terrific value and a sensible choice."
A very good value and comfortable suite type room. However, the hidden location and very small lobby were real negatives, but not unworkable. Overall, a terrific value, and good experience.Genuine Expedia guest review
Need a new mattress in room 319 and to checkout the noise coming out of the shower head.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Westlake Marriott Towneplace"
This is a great place to stay for families and for extended periods. Location is great for restaurants, trips into town and visits to the malls. Staff are very helpful and accommodating.Genuine Expedia guest review
I was very pleased with this hotel. The room had a kitchenette with sink, stove, microwave, full refrigerator even minimal dishes, pots and silverware. The room had a comfortable bed, couch, coffee table and armchair. I could have easily used this as an efficient several day base while visiting Cleveland and saved money on eating out. The free breakfast […] was adequate with cereal, milk, juice, fruit, tea, coffee and pastry. There are several restaurant/bars within easy walking distance. Easy access to the freeway. The Cleveland bus service has a hub next door so public transportation would be a snap. I heard no noise from the road or within the hotel. There is an outdoor pool and indoor exercise room. Hadn't stayed at a TownePlace before but the price was better than others so I figured I'd give it a try. Definitely lower budget and amenities vs other Marriott properties but it was everything we needed foe one night. Comfortable beds, spacious enough. Very basic breakfast but it was all we needed.
"Good room with plenty of space"
07/12/14 dmount2001 Burlington, Vermont
We traveled to Cleveland to visit the R & R Hall of Fame and a ballgame. We stayed at the Town Place because we like the space. It had all we wanted and it was clean and well maintained. We were about 10 miles from downtown, which was not a problem for us. My only complaint was that the breakfast did not include some kind of egg dish but there was ample food.
"Perfect place to stay during extended Cleveland Clinic visit"
04/28/14 gengermarie Chicago, Illinois
We booked a one-bedroom suite and were thrilled that they offered a special rate for Cleveland Clinic patients/family. The hotel is actually about 15 miles from the clinic but it is sooo easy to get to - you just get on I-90, which runs right by the TownePlace Suites, and you take I90E all the way to the Chester exit - that is it, very easy route! Also, right next to the hotel, you can walk to a great sports bar with good, reasonably priced food, and a Carabbas, and an Outback are also just a short walk away. Westlake has all the stores, restaurants, and conveniences you could possibly need within a mile or two of the hotel. There are also some great lakefront parks just a couple of minutes from the hotel. The hotel is very quiet, hardly saw another person in the 11 days that I stayed there. There's a nice breakfast area along with an exercise room and laundry room - there's also an outdoor pool but it wasn't opened yet this spring. The hotel is also right next to a large RTA stop though I was unfamiliar with Cleveland's public transportation system, I imagine it would be very handy for many. My room was very nice, very clean and nicely decorated. Lots of room with the suite which includes a full mini-kitchen. The front desk clerks were always very nice and helpful and the parking was close to the building and plentiful.I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone and especially those that are visiting the Cleveland Clinic.Had a great stay!!
"Nice but smoke-filled rooms"
My husband and I stayed here overnight and initially found our hotel room suite to be spacious and nice, especially for the price. However, we were awakened by strong marijuana smoke odors early in the night. Staff were very nice and had the individuals removed from the hotel and also moved us to a different (and even bigger) room. However, this new room wreaked of old cigarette smoke, especially in the living area and bathroom. Although the hotel is all non-smoking, it is obvious that the people staying there are not obeying this policy, and we would not stay there again because of this reason. It is a shame though because otherwise the hotel and staff are very nice, it is affordable, and is in a convenient location.
"Clean, Friendly Staff, and Great Pries!"
10/27/13 mubigoofer New York City, New York
I have stayed in this hotel for a number of years - they tend to have the best prices in the area. The suites are a great size with a convenient kitchenette. The staff is super friendly and professional, willing to help out in any way possible. I enjoy staying in this hotel - I think the fact that I keep coming back is proof of how much I like this hotel.
"Awesome location, room, and breakfast"
10/24/13 MGoBlueBoy Troy, MI
This was a very nicely located hotel with HUGE rooms/suites. The room was spacious and well appointed with lots of room to stretch out. HUGE sitting area to watch TV, and a nice desk workspace to do some work. Staff was friendly and helpful, more or less. Breakfast area was well stocked and convenient.
"Better than the Courtyard next door..."
10/01/13 Will M New York, New York, United States
I stay with Marriott in Westlake quite often due to family business needs. The last couple of visits at the Courtyard have not been the greatest. Yet, next door I'm seeing upgraded rooms, friendlier staff, same Marriott flavor and $20 bucks cheaper. Brain surgeon training not required.
"Great place to stay in the Cleveland area!"
09/14/13 lopper oregon
My family and I have stayed here a few times now over 10 years, and our recent visit again was as good as the previous. We love the two room suites that offer privacy for the parents and kids alike. The beds are comfortable and there is plenty of space to fully unpack for a longer stay. The place is very well maintained and clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Our first night we arrived late with no time to shop for food, and were pleased to find the hotel offered a modest breakfast that fit our needs nicely. While near the interstate, the location is pretty and quiet. The only sounds outside at night were crickets...very peaceful. The laundry has high capacity machines that wash and dry quickly, and the outdoor pool has plenty of room for lounging and swimming. Not to mention there is a lovely little beach on Lake Erie just a short drive away! Our family and friends in town often offer us to stay with them on our visits, but we enjoy having a little home of our own at TownePlace!

This is the most comfortable hotel I have stayed in anywhere. The room was spotless, tastefully decorated and had high ceilings giving the feeling of home rather than a hotel. The kitchen had everything one could need, and I appreciated a fresh water bottle every night and a sink with a small bottle of dish soap for washing service for one. Breakfast offerings were perfect for a quick stop, and it was nice to have fruit available throughout the day. The staff was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this hotel.
"The last night of our journey"
08/03/13 Melva S Sandwich, United States
We didn't want to stay downtown Cleveland, so on our way out we seen the hotel ad and pulled in. Tired and ready to stop we took a king suite. We were given a handicapped accessible room, not sure why, but it was AOK. The room was clean, pleasantly decorated and comfortable. The hostess was extremely nice and helpful. She directed us to a restaurant that we thoroughly enjoyed. The price for our room was a bit steep and with a 16.25% tax added on, it was the 2nd most expensive hotel we stayed at during our nine day journey. The continential breakfast was meager compared to our others stays as well. BUT, overall it receives a "Very Good" rating from us.
