The room was great, the staff was attentive to any needs, and the breakfast (waffles especially) was a great start to the day. This was one of the better hotel experiences I've had recently and the value was outstanding. I would definitely stay again. During the morning, early afternoon, or late night, the internet speed was fine. On a side note: I needed some service work done on my vehicle during the stay. The room had been remodeled and it was nicely updated. The manager Trish was very accomodating and very helpful with our situation. We will definetly stay there again, it doesn't have any frills, like pool etc. But, if you only need a room, it's perfect.

My two main complaints were that there was no fridge in the room, and the wifi was almost useless it was so slow. Wasn't in my room much, but bed was comfy, room was clean, shower was huge and location was top notch for my 2 days of work at SCSU. Would stay here again (and probably will). Only annoyance was I forgot my toothbrush and they didn't have any at the front desk.

Unfortunately, when we checked in (a very quick and easy process) we were assigned a handicap room. There were no vacancies and we were forced to stay there. The bed was rock solid. The night before we slept on an air mattress, it is hard to choose which was more uncomfortable. The room was very small and the TV was very hard to see from the bed because […] it too was so small. The power went out in the middle of the night so I chose to forgo the shower (partly because there was no light in the bathroom and partly because I didn't want to use the handled shower head and shower seat). The hotel had a generator for the main lobby but none of the guests rooms, which was understandable, and they were able to provide TV and their complimentary breakfast as planned. The breakfast was as you would expect from a low class hotel, hard bagels, breads, etc. but they did have fresh waffles, which my husband enjoyed. Overall they could stand to upgrade a few amenities in their rooms to improve the experience greatly, but you get what you pay for and it was fairly cheap! Read more

I found the room to be great for the price and the woman at the front desk extremely helpful when I checked in on saturday evening. She was well versed on what the community had to offer travelers and where to find the best food and drinks. Too bad the front desk staff in the morning were not as helpful. I stayed at the St. Cloud Travelodge while attending a conference at the Civic Center downtown. I had to drive downtown and pay parking at the Civic Center but considering that it was only $5 to park all day, it was definately worth it. I'd not stayed at a Travelodge before this stay. It was inexpensive and had a good location for the activities I needed to accomplish. It's very close to I-94 and just a few miles from the city center. My room itself was decent enough. Staff were friendly although somewhat absent from the front desk at times I was either in need or passing through. […] Continental breakfast was passable but nothing special. There was a definite below average noise-proofing. During my stay there was an altercation between a guest who must've been on an extended stay and a family member visiting who'd had at least one other noisy and verbally abusive dispute. I ended up being a witness when police arrived. It may be unfair to lump the hotel into this unfortunate experience since they weren't to blame but the thriftiness of rates means you might be spending a night with folks that are in desperate straits. We stayed here on a Saturday night and were very pleased with the quietness of the room and the comfort of the bed. That is usually the big complaint when staying at a lower priced motel. But this is someplace I would recommend and will stay again. East access to the freeway and a short drive into town for all the things one needs from a town.

I'll start this review and say it has been several years since I've stayed in a hotel. Also for me I keep it pretty simple a bed, bathroom, and breakfast when it comes to hotels.
