The Downtown Travelodge offers one perk. It is located just off the main downtown drag in San Luis Obispo. Great location if you're walking back from the Thursday Night Farmer's market or one of the area's many bars. But rundown rooms offer little in the way of comfort. Cramped bathroom, tiny shower.

Forget this place. Our last stay we found drugs in the nightstand, this stay needles on the floor and no working lamps. Sleep in the park if you have to, it would be safer.

The Front Desk Clerk was very rude. I did not get her name, but it was an elderly woman with white hair. She was very disrespectful and unhelpful. She had a negative attitude and was very unfriendly which made us feel unwelcomed.

Can't beat it for the money. Less than "6" by quite a bit. Be warned, no air conditioning, but not necessary most summer days.

This place is barely good enough if you just need a place to sleep. The sheets had holes and were really worn out. The seats in the room were stained and had holes. The place was overall just out dated. The only perk is that your close to downtown.

As we arrived at our hotel we were confronted with a lecture and a threat. My wife and I were so shocked that we tried to get a different hotel and couldn't because everywhere close was booked. Friends of our were also staying at the hotel and also had bad experiences. One was even kicked out for trying to enter from a non parking lot entrance. No reason for this. Treated like children the whole time we stayed there! Will never stay at any travelodge again!!!

It was a fairly comfortable bed in a small room, but all I wanted was a place to sleep. The front desk was friendly and helpful.

Don't expect much from your visit here. It is within walking distance to downtown, which made up for the grumpy owners and typical motel drawbacks. Just don't overpay!

the room was okay for the cost and duration of the stay. One night is about all anyone could take. You're right on the parking lot so you hear everything. There was no air conditioning and there was a heat wave 100+ temps, so windows had to be open.

It was clean and on the lower end of the scale pricewise. On my own was fine but, I would not want to stay loner than one night and probably would not take my wife. Only because it is very basic.
