I got a great deal on my room while attending a conference in the French Quarter. The room was comfortable and clean, the price was right, and the location was perfect. My only complaint is that the maid never cleaned our room the second day; however, we didn't leave the room until the early afternoon, so that's largely our fault. Luckily, the front desk was kind enough to give us clean towels. All in all, it was a good experience--I'd definitely come back.

Overall, our stay at the Baronne Plaza Hotel in New Orleans was quite nice. The location was excellent, and the staff were very helpful. The hotel was clean, and the bed comfortable. My only major issue with the hotel was coffee. Coffee is not available 24 hours a day. Each room has one of those miniature coffee makers in the bathroom. If housekeeping did not replenish the supply of coffee the day before, then you can only get coffee during breakfast hours downstairs. At 5:30 AM, there is no coffee or housekeeping staff to be found. This also means that one cannot get extra towels for a shower or shampoo or conditioner early in the morning, since the desk staff does not have access to these things. Overall, however, it was a great hotel for the money in New Orleans.

The hotel was attractive, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Location was very convenient to downtown. Wireless internet and cell phone reception did not always work inside the hotel. Parking garage was small but fine for a sedan or compact car. It would not accommodate an SUV very easily. It was nice to have parking at half price; would not have been as happy paying full price.

Customer service here is excellent. Room was clean and bed very comfy. Hotel room still shows some age although lobby area is very nice. I would have appreciated a refrigerator and brighter lights in the room. I did have one big problem. When I got home, I found some charges made on the credit card I used to swipe there for incidentals. I'm not accusing but the charges appeared the day I swiped my card and were made online. I had to cancel my card and get a new one. Thanks God my credit card company monitors suspicious activity. For this reason only, I will not be staying there again. Other than that (which is pretty significant), the hotel is fine and the added breakfast in the morning is very convenient. This hotel is a short walk to the superdome and to the French Quarter.

My husband and I needed a get away for our anniversary. So, we shopped online for a room. We found the Barone Plaza. When driving up I thought we had been scamed, because it looked like the hotel was shut down and abandoned. Due to going by the picture that was online. Of course, I was wrong. There was just some remodeling going on!! We went into the lobby, which was BEAUTIFUL. We got our room keys paid our parking which was only $22.60. It was underground parking, which the entrance was weird, but good. Finally, we got to our room. It was very clean and smelled good. The bed was very comfortable & relaxing. Great pillows & down comforters. The bathroom was a little small, but good. It just took a while for the hot water to work in the shower. Room temperature was great. Serive was Great & they had delivery food up to 3:00 am Then they had breakfast in the morning till 11:00am. I would definatly stay again & tell people about my experience!!

The hotel itself was in decent condition. You can tell many of the rooms were renovated, but they were still working on many other parts of the hotel. Because of the construction, the lobby was quite the eyesore. Inside the rooms, we found comfortable accommodations although the toilet randomly made loud noises. The best part about the hotel is its location. We were literally 1 block from Canal St and 2 blocks from Bourbon St. INCREDIBLE location!

After reading reviews about this hotel, I was a little skeptical, but it seemed like all the hotel reviews for the area were pretty poor. I was very pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the room. There was construction in the front entrance, but I was expecting that from reading reviews. I couldn't hear any excessive noise from inside my room. The front desk people weren't overly friendly, but they were helpful in answering my questions. The location isn't wonderful, but I felt okay walking around at night by myself. I went for a low-priced hotel and it exceeding my expectations.

Pros: The Baronne Hotel has very nice rooms. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. The hotel is close to everything. It was far enough away from Bourbon Street to avoid the noise, but close enough to get there within minutes. Cons: The hotel is being renovated and it was difficult to find the entrance with all of the construction. The walls were thin so if you are a light sleeper, this may not be the place for you. The parking lot is very small and in the hotel basement. Large SUV's or Trucks may not be able to fit.

The Good: The hotel was easy to find, though we live in the area and knew our way around better than someone who isn't. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was quiet and comfortable - especially the beds. Check in/out was easy and the while there was no porter, the doorman was very helpful and friendly. The Bad: The hotel is undergoing renovation on the first floor - not sure if this is Katrina-related or just some updating. The lobby was dark and dusty and had a damp, musty smell (not very surprising with the construction). The marble floors are in very bad need of polishing, but again, they are doing construction. I thought the fake plants (lots of them and very much in need of dusting) were pretty tacky - hopefully they will get something real in the future. Parking is really scary and expensive. Their garage is under the hotel and anything larger than a small SUV is not going to get down there. Parking is $20 a day. The process is confusing as well - you have to check in to your room before you can park and you have to notify the front desk everytime you leave and come back so that they can operate the gate. As the title says, this is a decent place to sleep, but there were absolutely no amenities -period. There wasn't even any ice in the ice machine. There is not a restaurant in the hotel due to renovations, so if you want something cold to drink, you have to use the vending machine which only had coke and was out of everything else. I found out in the morning that there weren't enough bath rags in the room, so I had to bathe with a hand towel - not horrific, but annoying. There wasn't anything just awful about the stay, just lots of little annoyances that left a little bit of bad taste in my mouth. Overall, I would recommend this to someone who has business downtown and will be in meetings the whole time but will not need any business services -such as fax, etc. Though I do think the hotel has free wireless. I would not recommend this fo

There is no free parking for the guests like most other hotels. The hotel has their own parking lot which was full when we checked in. They told us to park our car at this parking lot that was one block away and slightly cheaper than their hotel parking lot. I would say our stay was totally worth the price.
