"Good location, but too expensive for average hotel"
Good: walking distance to French quartier Bad: too expensive (more than 500/night??? No breakfast included, no parking included), old hotel, bath was clogged, staff was incredible rude, check in too late (3pm) and check out at 12... Definitely not worthy it!Genuine Expedia guest review

"Clean but tired- rooms and staff"
Rooms were acceptable. Stucco walls and popcorn ceilings with windows overlooking the hallways. But it is close enough to the action while being quiet. Staff weren't rude but they weren't particularly friendly- I'm always the one that said hello first. If you want a hotel stay, look elsewhere. If you want a place to crash after a meeting or parting, […] this works for the price. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
First time in NoLa and chose this hotel because of location and past reviews however once arrived it wasn't what I was expecting. Staff was not as friendly as accustomed. Didn't offer any help with luggage. Tried asking for suggestions on what to see and was directed to the wall with brochures. Furniture in the lobbies were dirty and tearing on edges. […] Made it look dirty and tacky. Luckily my room was clean in every aspect. Seemed the only person attending was housekeeping. On my check out day I had to ask the reception representative 3 times to hold my luggage in storage since my airport pick was much later than check out time. I won't be staying at this hotel on my next visit. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Almost a 5"
The best part of this hotel was the location. Within walking distance of everything but in a quiet neighborhood where we could relax if we didn't want to go out at night. The only reason I did not give an overall 5 out of 5 was the extra $20/night parking I found out about when we checked in. Other then that, the staff was friendly and helpful, the […] rooms were clean and comfortable and I feel we got a good deal. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
we were close to the french quarter and transportation, it was clean quiet comfortable. I would have liked it better if they would have told me the cost of parking up front, and included that in their add.Genuine Expedia guest review
They shouldn't lie and tell people the parking is free and when you get there to check in it is not!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Stay. Pool would be awesome."
Everything was great. Excellent location. The cafe downstairs was also good. Only thing that could've made it better is a pool area.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good Bargain for Location"
This is the second time I stayed at WGH Baronne Plaza and I will stay again. The hotel is clean and roomy. The only problems were a slow check in, non-working equipment in gym and expensive parking. The staff was friendly and the price is affordable compared to French Quarter hotels.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location...easy to walk to French Quarter"
3 day weekend to visit family & spend time in the French Quarter. This location was perfect for both.Genuine Expedia guest review
The bathroom had black mold around the tub and we were not informed of other fees before we booked the hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good Hotel Experience"
I recommend this hotel. It is a short walk to the French Quarter. Spacious room and beautiful lobby. Around the corner from the trolley. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Friday night stay"
We had excellent experience, hotel was very close to the Quarter. The rooms were clean, staff very friendly.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Thin walls and cleanliness just so so"
You have to check in first in order to park and there is no parking outside the hotel so one person has to jump out and go check in while the other circles the block. Screaming baby next door made falling asleep difficult and we were awakened around 6:30 AM by same screaming baby. Also found a long hair (not mine) as soon as we pulled the duvet cover […] back. The location was great, though. Quick walk to the Quarter and overall, not a bad place to stay for a last minute getaway. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"location and service"
Super clean, basic rooms. What more is required for New Orleans? Service is friendly and helpful. I would definitely return to the Wyndham Garden. Look, this hotel is quite busy because of the prime location and reasonable rates, so your check-in might be delayed a few hours but so what? They hold your bags in a safe place while you go hit some very […] close sights in the Quarter. Suck it up and go have a drink and eat some of the best food in the country. "it will be great when the construction is done!"
Our stay was okay, the hotel is fine overall but the huge bank across from our room was totally being redone and construction started at 7. When we checked in the desk person said 'it's too bad there isn't a room left on the quiet side.' We had booked and prepaid weeks and weeks before so we had to wonder why there wasn't a room for us on the quiet […] side. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"don't pass up"
Close to everything we was doing. No complaints, had a blast. Thx a lotGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel was in perfect walking distance to Bourbon St and the Quarter. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The parking lot is very tight and only smaller vehicles can be parked. Larger vehicles have to be valet parked but it wasn't a big deal.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"New Orleans Wyndham"
What a great hotel and great service.I differently will stay there when I go back to New Orleans...Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to all the sites"
the hotel was very nice and the 24 hr diner was a perk. The staff were very friendly as well as the staff in the diner. The rooms were a little slow in cleaning but overall everything was great... Will stay again without a doubt.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great for a weekend stay!"
Construction in area makes it noisy during week,Room was greatGenuine Expedia guest review
"Recommended- Parking will kill you though"
The room was very nice and clean. The staff was very polite. The only cons: I had to bring my own luggage in. Parking is a nightmare. My SUV was to big to fit in the hotels underground parking (which they charge $44 a day to park!!!). I had to park 2 blocks away and pay $70 for 2 1/2 days!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent get away"
We visited New Irlwans for the French Quarter Fest. Awesome time and awesome stay. Very convenient hotel just off of Canal st. Will certainly go back again. Great Staff. Especially the front desk. Ask for Alicia. She is sooo accommodating. Went beyond what she needed to do to help us out!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Helpful staff and beautiful facility. And the restaurant there is ABSOLUTLEY delicious! Firecracker shrimp=OMG!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice place to sleep"
This is pretty much a no frills hotel. The staff was very friendly, always good about giving directions or recommendations for restaurants. The restaurant attached to the hotel wasn't very good but there are several nice ones within walking distance. It's off the main drag, which was fine, but the street noise was still pretty audible at night. There […] are no bellhops so be prepared to tote your own luggage. And be sure to unpack your car BEFORE you park it as there are no elevators from the parking garage which means you have to lug your bags up a couple of flights of stairs. The parking spaces are EXTREMELY narrow. Wider cars need to take up two spaces. There was a long brown hair in the bathtub of my room when I checked in. The hotel is being remodeled but the workers were quiet and I didn't know there were there when I stepped outside my room. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I would recommend this hotel for anyone that wants to easy access to both the Canal and St. Charles streetcars. Each location is about a 3 minute safe walk from this hotel. The French Quarter is about a 5 minute walk-and from there you can explore as much of the Quarter as you want to. The lobby in the hotel is a nice place to read the paper every morning. […] My room was on the 4th floor and while I was there, they were ripping out the hallway wallpaper and replacing it. A lot of noise was from the city doing construction work-but that's not the hotel's fault. Overall my bed was super comfortable and the room was clean-but outdated stained carpet and broken door on the closet. Perhaps they will be working on the rooms after the hallway? I would stay here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Not What I had Expected!!!"
The hotel was smelly and dirty. We original booked for a king size bed but then we realized all kings (we were told) face the lobby not the street. We asked to change to double bed which we don't mind as long as it faces the street. I could not sleep the first night there. It was too noisy all night long. I asked that we moved to the back. Well, it […] got from bad to worse. They gave us another double bed, small and quite frankly dirtier than the first room. Being pregnant and had to get up at 5am every morning wasn't a pleasant experience. We would have moved if we were staying longer. We just had to put up with another two nights and left. I would not come back to that hotel ever again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel is in a great location. Parking garage a little hard to maneuver and cleanliness of room could've been better but it was fine for a one night stay pre-cruise.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location, not the cleanest though"
Fantastic front desk staff, but the housekeeping was inconsistent at best over our 4 night stay. Some days we'd be gone all day, and the room wouldn't be made up, other times it would be only half heartedly done - with beds half made, and floor not vacuumed. Overall, it was a good stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Everything was great. Just that I didn't notice until I was leaving that my souvenir cups I got from bourbon street were missing from my room but other than that it was great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Someone's food was in my fridge"
When I arrived, I was very disappointed to find that the hotel didn't have a window overlooking the city. In fact, it didn't have a window overlooking anything but the inside of other people's hotel rooms. I felt like I was in a cave the entire time and never could tell night from day. Secondly, I was excited to find a fridge in my room. However, upon […] opening it I discovered that another guest's food was souring and stinking up the fridge. After pulling back the covers after a long day I found several hairs that weren't mine. Very disappointing. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Not what I was expecting from a Wyndham hotel stay"
I had heard of the name Wyndham and was expecting a nice room. Compared to my Hamptons Inn room the night before, it was a big disappoint. It was dimly lighted, no windows to look outdoors with, toilet paper was practically all used up, and wifi wasn't working in my room, only in the lobby. The TV was small, there were hardly any HD channels, it was […] a poor viewing experience over all. The water pressure wasn't that good and it took a while for the water to get hot. While showering, the water pressure and the temperature would change as well and it would cool down and wasn't comfortable. It was a small room, barely any room to put stuff, small desk, no TV guide, it was a downgrade from the Hamptons Inn. The staff was very pleasant and nice though, and very helpful. I was just upset about the room. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Close to the French Quater and Burbon Street. Don't need a car, can walk anywhere and everywhere. Would definitely stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great location. Very small rooms, no place to sit in the room if you want to bring in lunch or dinner. Not a good choice if you have feather allergies as pillows and blankets are down and they can't accommodate.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"reasonable rates close to Canal St."
The hotel was clean, check-in and check-out were easy, and the location was convenient to my conference, held on Canal St. Michael at the front desk was fantastic - friendly and helpful; definitely an asset to the hotel!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Decent Location, Decent Room"
Location was good due to proximity to Canal Street. I booked this hotel because it advertised free wifi and 24 hour gym. The gym was closed when we arrived throughout the night. The wifi connection was so weak, I couldn't use it and had to leave early in the morning to find a connection so I could work. The room itself was fine.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to the Dome"
It was very nice just wish the diner would stay open longer.Genuine Expedia guest review
Great location. Great price for the location. We walked to all downtown shops, restaurants and bourbon st. Parking is very tight! Had to crawl through back gate of vehicle to back out of space. Overall would stay again but only if booked through Expedia, a lot cheaper then booking direct!Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was great, especially for the area. The room had a refrigerator and there was a microwave in the lobby, although it was pretty inconvenient to use. The room itself was rather luxurious feeling and in good repair. The staff were all very friendly and polite.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location but no natural light"
Great base for the French Quarter; you're a stone's throw away from all the action but the street itself is quiet at night. The cleaning staff could have given more attention to detail (there were a few unsightly hairs stuck on the shower curtain, and a couple minor stains on the sheets), but the room was generally clean. The room was also comfortable […] but could have used a little repair (the heating cooling vent was a little ajar from the wall as was the tub faucet). However, of particular concern (for me at least) was the absence of any natural light! The window opened up to some kind of very narrow hallway internal to the building, which I fortunately never saw anyone in. Since I was there for only 3 days it was bearable but anymore time and not having a touch of sunlight in the room would have really gotten to me. But I guess if you're there for Mardi Gras or some such thing that might not even be a concern Make sure to ask for a room with a window that actually faces the outside! I found the overall quality of the hotel was in the upper middle range. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel near bourbon st"
I had a great experience at the Wyndham garden in New Orleans and I got upgraded to suite. It was a nice room with comfortable beds. I would recommend a friend to stay there. The staff was friendly and it was walking distance to bourbon st and canal st in the French quartersGenuine Expedia guest review
"Quiet alternative to the French Quarter"
Very good stay and inward looking rooms are quiet. There were no alternatives to the hard pillows thati s my main complaint.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"The Hotel policies are terrible"
When we got to the hotel we were told that the parking lot was full and that we most use their valet parking service for an extra $40.00 charge. When you check out you need to give them an extra 20 minutes for them to return your car.Genuine Expedia guest review
This hotel is located in a good location. Can walk to anything within a few minutes. Only down side is the valet service. It took a while to get vehicle from time we called for it to be brought around. Took almost an hour on one occasion.Genuine Expedia guest review
This place is hit or miss. I was on the 4 th floor, nice room with large windows. very clean,. I had a friend on the 2nd and his room was smaller with no windows and smelled weird. My room was great. My suggestion ask for a room above the 3rd floor. Hotel location is great! walk to bourbon st.. Again its hit or miss with this place.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Walking distance from all the action!"
Overall, the stay was a win. The price was reasonable, especially for the location and overall package. If I had a complaint, it would only be that the room smelled a little too much like carpet fresh. The staff was great however and very accommodating. Valet was also convenient and their assistance was spot on.Genuine Expedia guest review
Just staying here one night for a business meeting. Arrived at 10:30pm, had one computer working, and 3 people waiting to check in. Self-parking was full, so had to leave car with valet. Did that and then went to eat at the onsite restaurant before it closed at 11:00, as the front desk staff suggested because it was going to take some time getting people […] checked in. Ate at the restaurant, came back into lobby to check in and there was still a line and apparently one computer working. Finally got checked in about 11:30pm, an hour after I arrived at hotel. Checking out next morning was exactly the same. One computer, six people behind the desk, lots of guests waiting to check out, waiting on valets to get cars, etc. Might have been an aberration, but won't be staying there again. "Not good service, Room feels like Dungeon"
Front desk lady seemed like it was her first day working. Took forever for them to open gate for car entrance. The rooms were alright, our so called 'view' was basically looking into the hallway of the floor. Felt like I was in a dungeon with no outside light. Couldn't tell what the weather was like outside. I would probably spend the extra 100$ and […] stay in another hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
