Sleep Inn - Statesville

The rooms were very small. I wasn't aware before booking that the beds were double beds, not queens. I will say the room was clean and had a nice TV. Breakfast was pretty mediocre as well in my opinion. I paid 88 with tax for one night and in my opinion, I would not pay over 60 for this place.

The hotel was fairly well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well set up - it had lots of usable space. The beds were comfortable. Unfortunately, the floor they put us on was a partial non-smoking, partial smoking floor, and the whole floor smelled like cigarette smoke. We had to keep our window open and the fan going […] to keep the smoke from irritating my allergies. The pool was tiny, but clean. I was worried about staying so close to the pool/rec room, as we came in late, and I thought people might be using them early, but that was not a problem. We stayed here as a mid point to Florida. We were pleasantly surprised. The front desk clerk was super sweet at checkin and check out. The breakfast had fresh waffle batter for people and a bunch of other selections. The pool was nice and warm. It's a little aged but they keep it up well. Very pleased. Will stop again on the way back from Florida.

We booked two room at this hotel for our son's soccer tournament. We were very happy with the accomodations and the breakfast. The indoor pool is small (similar to a therapy pool) and the rooms we stayed in were only equipped with a shower. Newly renovated and better than I expected. Convenient to a lot of good restaurants. I would stay again. Staff gets a 3 only because the lady working the desk was so inconvenienced when I needed to check out. Other than that I have no complaints.

The staff and location were great!! The rooms (we had 4) had an old faint spell about them. I love lighting and Sleep Inn did have that. The area was nice yes you can hear some traffic but it was very convienently located to many locations. The breakfast was very good and had a waffle maker that was excellent. Staff very nice, Did have a problem every night we had to get our key reset so that wasn't a plus especially being on the top floor.

Good coffee too:-) We stay a lot of places for tournaments and vacations and this is one chain we have never had a problem with...they even have fresh baked cookies in the lobby for their guests (kids LOVE that)!!! Stayed one weekend, fri-mon. Okay free breakfast. Rooms were clean but musty when it rained. mini fridge, iron and microwave in room was a plus. The shower floor was dirty or stained. the staff was nice, but they didn't seem to want to go out of their way to help with small requests. I rolled into the Sleep Inn from my long journey from MA and NYC on my way to Miami. I needed to go through Charlotte and this location was ideal - right at the crossroads of I-77 and I-40. The check-in staff was pleasant enough. The room was clean, though a bit dated and maybe not in the best state of repair. However (and I wish I had more time to spend here), there is a workout room and possibly a pool too. As far as other amenities, the TV is a large flat panel that does allow you to plug in your computer or iPod in. The WiFi works great. Great place to stop and stay for a night while travelling. It was clean, quiet, comfortable, breakfast provided in the morning. There are many, many places to eat within minutes of the hotel, and there's a gas station that is close as well.

The hotel was very comfortable and clean. The only thing I noticed was when I went to put my beverages in the fridge, it was unplugged so it took a while for it to cool down. Luckily we weren't leaving until the morning and they were cold by then. Just check your fridge!

Stayed for the night before finishing our drive to our destination, arrived a bit early before check-in, room was still being cleaned but was given key to be able to get in after check-in time. Front-desk clerk could have been a bit more friendly. Location is not that great the driveway is a bit hard to find and there is quite a steep bump going in […] and out (definitely use caution turning in and exiting), traffic is a bit of a pain. Bed was very comfortable, a/c worked, pool was small, didn't use fitness room but that looked a bit cramped as well. Breakfast was usual bagels, coffee, cereal, "orange juice", yogurt, oatmeal, waffles etc and there was fresh fruit available as well. Would I stay here again? We were driving on I77 from Tampa to Pittsburgh and needed a good stopping place for the night. This hotel was perfect being close to the highway and surrounded by tons of eating places. Breakfast opened at 6 am, which was perfect for getting an early start, and they even had make-your-own waffles. I would definitely stay their again!
