"Park & Stay"
Hotel itself was nice enough and sufficient for a one night stay prior to leaving for a one week vacation. Had communication issues upon arriving back to the airport regarding our shuttle pickup. We had flight delays due to weather and arrived very close to the 11 PM end of shuttle service. The driver was at the airport, our luggage did not make it […] on our flight, and the driver went back to the hotel even though my husband had been in the van with the driver. For whatever reason, the driver had come into the airport, talked to me (the wife) and then went back to the van and told my husband to come back into the baggage area to talk to me...even after I had personally told the driver that I was going to stay and wait for the luggage while my husband brought our car to the airport. Ended up having to pay a $15 taxi fare for a 3 mile drive because the driver ultimately left the airport with one piece of our carry-on luggage and no people because it was a little after 11 PM. Left us with a disgusted feeling on top of travel irritation. It should have been a free shuttle; will never understand why the driver just took off after calling me on my cell to remind me that I knew they ended the service at 11 PM...just weird! "Limited Shuttle - not a true airport hotel"
Had a late flight arrival and were unable to get the complimentary shuttle (a primary reason we booked this hotel). Ended up having to pay for a $20 cab for a five minute drive. The room and the bed are just about the same size and don't ask for anything extra because it isn't provided. We booked two niighs and only stayed one and didn't receive any refund for the night that wasn't used. "beware airport shuttle does not run 24 hrs"
We were there for quick stay to take early flight out next morning & our stay was not good. Advertised it had an airport shuttle but failed to say it didn't run between 11pm & 5am. Our flight got in just after 11 because it ran late. Tried to call to get them to wait but they didn't. Spent $80 in cab fees because we had to take one on both to & from […] airport! The hotel told me that they had a shuttle down town for 15 dollars per person. I made sure of it because we were a long way from the French Quarter. When we got there they did not have one or would not offer one. I booked rooms for 3 of us for several nights before and after out cruise. All of these were to be non smoking rooms.
