I had to stay here for a Dance Competition at Furman University and at first I was a little nervous about staying here but actually I have to admit it wasn't that bad! Nice and clean everything and great service! Would definitely stay here again!

The hotel was in poor condition. The room was not comfortable at all. The beds were uncomfortable, the bathroom was horrible, especially the shower. The shower door was almost impossible to open, the floor was dangerously slick and all around unsafe. On a positive note, the staff was kind and friendly. I will not stay here again.

The name "Sleep Inn" clearly is meant to be ironic. The rooms are noisy, and the beds antediluvian. Not much sleep to be had.

We chose this hotel because it was close to Furman University and other hotels in the area were booked. They only had a 'smoking' room left so we took it and asked them to deodorize it before we arrived. The room needed more than deodorizing. The table tops were dusty, the carpet was full of cigarette burns and the a/c unit was filthy!! The 3rd floor […] hallway reeked of stale smoke and was also very dirty. The staff at the front desk was very helpful but didn't have the ability to help us with deodorizers. Additionally, the hotel lobby was not clean looking . Other than a shower door that wouldn't close easily and the fact that the pool/pool area needs resurfacing and the fact that not enough sugar packets were left daily in our room, we were happy with this hotel. Staff was helpful and the rooms were very clean.

Everything was very nice. A lot of extras like the microwave, fridge, safe and free breakfast were wonderful. But the thing that is common in all hotels that I really do not like is.... I know I won't get a good night's rest because it seems every bed is the firmest mattress available. I know my back will always hurt in the morning.... and it did all […] day after I slept on it. I wish hotels would order something in the middle, not too soft, not too firm, that way, it meets the needs of the masses, not just the few that like to sleep on a swedish rack.... then there wouldn't be such a drastic change for those of us who want a little more comfort and "give" to their mattress or for those who like a firmer mattress. The hotel was conviently located to travelers Rest, but the size of the room is a little to small for 2 full size beds. Shower was nice since it was a walk in shower, but the pocket door was a problem if you have never had to use them before. Staff was wonderful and very helpful

The beds were terrible you could visibly see it was slanted. There was a hole in the sheets from a cigarette burn and there was chocolate on the drapes.

I read the reviews of other people on here and I dont agree with the bad ones. We had to go to a wedding and we needed to check in to get dressed early - the staff was great at getting us our room so we could get ready in time. Nicest cleaning staff EVER. Overall the hotel was fine. There were several issues we had that were a little disappointing. First the drink machine didn't work. It initially wouldn't take my dollar, so I went to the front desk to get change. The person didn't have any quarters so she gave me $2 change in dimes. We went to the front desk to get the access code and the person said it should work fine. The signal strength was excellent but there was no internet. Hotel staff was very courteous. It began pouring rain right before I had to leave for an event, and the lady at the front desk asked me if I had an umbrella then offered me one when I told her I didn't. The only issue I had with the hotel was the room had an off odor when the air conditioning was not running. Once I turned on the A/C, the odor disappeared. The staff were very pleasant. The town of Travelers Rest is quaint (i.e. small), but the location is very convenient for some great hiking and biking in the area.

Travelers Rest is close to a lot of hiking areas and staying there was wonderful. The town has redone their main area with a beautiful walking/biking path. The Sleep Inn was very clean, next to a supermarket which was convenient. Sylvia at the front desk was always very helpful in providing us with information regarding local restaurants, stores, & […] hiking area's. The pool area isn't large but in 90 degree heat after hiking it was wonderful! The rooms were very clean and spacious. There were a couple of cracked tiles in the bathroom but that was about it.
