Sleep Inn - Near Busch Gardens and USF - Temple Terrace

The stay was OK. I asked for a handicapped room and they acted like they didn't know what it mean't. Finally settled for #106, near the lobby. Breakfast offering was good - I had a home made waffle. The breakfast area was small - 22 seats. The hotel was not busy, so no more than 3 in the breakfast area about 7:30 AM.

The hotel felt like it was short staffed. Arrived at about 3:45 and no one was at the front desk. There was a sign that said be back in 5mins but 15 mins later someone finally showed up to check us in. The hotel was decent and the breakfast was good.

All in all it was pretty great. It was RIGHT off the interstate which was pretty awesome. But depending on the time of day, it was kind of time consuming to get in and out of the parking lot. the surrounding road has some annoying traffic, but only around rush hour (5 or 6 pm). But we called and complained and the lady at the front desk must have went up there and talked to them because it quieted down AND she called our room and told us to call back anytime if we heard more noise. They did have a free breakfast. I didn't go but my fiance brought up a cheese danish and some apple juice. and i LOVE cheese danishes. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay. I'm writing this comment, because i usually read them before booking, but still stuff happens, I think if more people rate this hotels they will have to improve eventually. An average hotel, just to sleep in ,not close to many things, but close to main highway, included in price is the breakfast, which is a plus, but you have to jump from your bed because […] breakfast is only available from 6 to 9 am . and the breakfast area is really small, chances are, if there is a full house you will have to get your stuff and go to your room and eat there, i think that is why a small kitchen roach came out to greet us the first night.There may be better choices for the money. Everything was quite nice except the room had an unpleasant odor about it. Smelled like a smoking room with some kind of scent to cover it up. As long as you run the AC on high with fan on continuously, the smell is OK.

This Sleep Inn was a surprise. I wasn't expecting much because of the rating and price but everything was quite pleasant. The carpet on the lobby stairs was filthy. The breakfast area was so small that the staff replenishing the food could hardly get around the guests in line and there was not enough tables to accommodate the guests. Great location and staff. The rooms were very comfortable ad most importantly, clean. TE noise was minimal so our stay was peaceful. They offered complimentary breakfast which was ideal. Overall it was a great experience.

I booked this hotel online during the morning hours of the same day I was booking it for and when I arrived at the hotel they did not have any smoking rooms available. I specifically searched for a hotel with a king sized bed and smoking. This was extremely disappointing since it was only booked hours before I arrived to the hotel. The lady at the front desk didn't seem concerned at all that I was not getting my smoking room, she basically just said we don't have any smoking rooms left, so you can't have one. The vending machines on the first floor where out of order and the second set of vending machines on the third floor only took quarters, no dollar bills or credit cards and of course I did not have any quarters. I then went to the front desk to get change and there was hand written note on scratch paper reading "Back in 5 Minutes." My conclusion is that I personally would never stay at this hotel and probably not another Sleep Inn, nor would I recommend this hotel to anyone for any reason. Read more

I am not sure i would suggest familes to stay there. I have three children and i had complaints from the front desk that my kids were walking to hard and the people below me could here them. I have a 4 year old and clearly let them know that at the time of booking. The staff put us on the 4th floor. Our only complaint was that the TV picture was very distorted. Saturday night the hotel was very noisy and the room upstairs sounded like elephants in it. Otherwise it was a very enjoyable stay. The morning breakfast was very good.

Their breakfast is continental and the seating is very close and not enough tables, the entry carpet needs replacing if very dirty and the hall smelled of cat urine. When we brought this to their attention they told us the carpet is going to be replaced, I hope so.

Room was clean, including carpeting. Bed was very comfortable. Pool looked clean and inviting, but, I did not use. Sleep Inn is lacking in their breakfast, coffee brewing was not kept up with, lack of choices. Carpeting in stairs and lobby was pretty dirty. Convenient to USF, 5 minutes, without the craziness of Busch Gardens neighborhood.

Checked in to the hotel at 10 PM Room a/c was not turning on (compressor not turning on)... had to request for another room... later on this room toilet was not stopping taking water as the floater kept getting stuck (had to fix it myself to prevent having to move to another room). This was good. Not high class, but good if you're looking for a cheap, but acceptable place to say. Close to a lot of cool things in Tampa, clean place, good breakfast. My family and I were awaken by a small electrical fire from the a/c unit. Hotel mgr was notified but did not apologize for the inconvience or come up to the room to access the problem. (The front desk clerk finally came down to take a look.)

Made 2 room reservations and had receipt from hotels.com. Check-in clerk said computer only showed one and proceeded to find us 2 rooms on 2 different floors which was not acceptable. Finally found 2 room together. When we got the bill, not only had I paid online through Hotels.com but I was also charged for one room on another floor and the two together. […] It literally took 30 minutes for him to check us in.
