I stay maybe 50 nights per year in hotels. I've stayed at Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons in the past. The staff at this hotel was the best I've ever experienced. It was okay! There were rumors of bed bugs, but we found no evidence of them. The pool was not heated and appeared no efforts were being made to get it heated. I was surprised that they actually charge to put a regrigerator in your room that you have to request... what hotel does that?? This hotel is definitely dated. The room has only basic things. It doesn't, have refrigerator or microwave. The toilet is rusty. We couldn't find towels at the swimming pool and we had to ask at the front desk to get one.

My boyfriend and I stayed 2 nights at the Sheraton and were appalled at the condition that our room was in. It was dirty with stains on the walls and carpet, small black hairs on the "clean" linens, a black residue in the toilet bowl, mold in the bathroom, and an awful odor throughout the room. Our room was located on the ground floor, and when we complained […] they stated that the only other available room was on the same floor. The room they moved us to was only slightly better. It was still not what I would consider to be clean and still with an overwhelming mold/mildew odor. We checked in and there was mold on the walls and ceilings and it smelled from the mold. At first they told us there were no other rooms. After another call to the front desk we were moved to another room and experienced the same room condition with mold (this room they sprayed so it didn't smell). They told us all king bed rooms were on the same level […] and the front desk person told us in all honesty they would all have the same moisture issues as the first floor was below grade. They would only offer us a room on an upper floor with 2 double beds. It was worth the lack of mold to take the room even though we paid for a king. They offered us free breakfast as a consolation but we paid for the breakfast as a part of our room reservation. The person who helped us at first said he couldn't offer us anything else or make any other consideration. After 8 days of vacation this was the lowest quality room we experienced and we thought it was going to be the best based on the Sheraton name. We stayed at La Quinta and Comfort Inn and would not choose those first at a cheaper rate to boot. Read more

Visiting daughter at Providence College. Hotel 10 minute drive away. Free onsite parking. Friendly hotel staff. Very clean, quiet, and comfortable beds & pillows. For a very small upcharge, Enjoyed a continental breakfast, which was nice.

Excellent room with great bed & linens. Very spacious, big TV. Great breakfast and overall very clean. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Only downside is the outside of the hotel, but don't let this scare you off, once you are inside it's great! The parking is a bit scary, but afterall, that's Newark for ya!

Room smelled... very muggy atmosphere in room... comforter on bed had food stains on it. "Free" breakfast had terrible selection. Pancakes were like cardboard. Powdered eggs. The packaged half and half ruined the taste of my coffee.

We were here for an anniversary trip...and the first night we ate in the hotel restaurant my dinner was sent back because the pasta was hard(not cooked), and by the time my replacement meal came, my husband was already done with his steak. We had trouble getting our room cleaned. Housekeeping is not great here. Room service trays are left in the halls for days and some days they never cleaned our room. The front desk would apologize and say they were going to send someone, but did not. For the money there are better hotels out there.

Just the next exit from the Providence Place Malll. Excellent hotel for the Rock-n-Roll Half Marathon. Not as convenient as downtown but not as expensive so that makes it worth it. If you stay for the race, just leave in plenty of time to park at the mall because it backs up a little bit.

Nicely appointed with a good pool and fitness suite. Staff were helpful and the room was excellent ( but we were upgraded to a junior suite). Unless you need the local airport, there isn't much around the hotel, but Newport is about a 30 minute drive away.

I checked in around 8:00 p.m. and made several calls to the front desk between 11:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. requesting security action due to unsupervised children running up and down the hall, banging doors, and hollering non-stop the ENTIRE night! I finally got to sleep around 2:30 and had to get up at 4:00 to catch a flight. NOTHING was done and no apologies […] or offer of any kind was made to me. This was a nice hotel, very comftorable room with a nice tv. There is no free Internet in the rooms which was not a big deal for a one night stay, but would have been nice.
