The staff was very friendly, the room was clean updated and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again. When I called the front desk to find out the local weather they answered the phone with "good morning Mrs. _ " (and said my last name perfectly)

This hotel is quite run down. For the same money you can get a much nicer Mariott or Hilton. Some of the other reviews here talk about hair on the floor of the bathroom and how you can hear your neighbors. This is actually true. There was disgusting hair on the bathroom floor and I could hear my neighbors clearly. The ceilings were popcorn ceilings […] with chips dangling from it. I booked a king room but was given a handicap accessible queen. I am tall and do not like the shower set up in these rooms. I didn't realize it til I got to the room and did not have time to change it. This has happened before. Hotels should be required to tell guests if they are putting them in one of these rooms.

I should have known that it was going to be awful, when we pulled up and to letters in word Sheraton were blacked out. Probably the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. Beyond dirty, beyond old, way below anything I would have thought from a Sheraton. They have eternally lost our business!

We stayed at the Sheraton Edison for a conference and expo we had to attend the next morning. There was also a cocktail reception held at the hotel the evening before the expo. In addition to the people staying at the hotel for our event, there seemed to be lots of people there for another event. Even though they were jam-packed and home to 2 big events, […] they were efficient and courteous- even friendly. My only complaint is that we requested a 2 bedded room, which we even confirmed at check-in, and received a room with only one bed. I called the front desk to let them know and told them that we'd be fine if that was all they had, but would like a rollaway. The young lady checked and called back to tell me there were no other rooms and no rollaways available. It was a little bit frustrating but the king bed was big enough for my husband, child and me to all sleep relatively comfortably. Overall, I think the hotel did a great job and we enjoyed our stay. OH, by the way . . . we ordered our dinner from room service and it was pretty timely and the food was outstanding!! Read more

My companion and I were looking for a hotel right of the NJ Turnpike and found this one. Upon checking in, the receptionist came out from a back room chewing food and greeted us. We checked in and all was fine until we woke the next morning to find that the air conditioner had stopped working. We set the thermostat at 67 degrees because we like to sleep […] in a very cool room. We woke up and the thermostat read that 76 degrees inside the room despite the thermostat saying it was still set for 67. Since we were checking out that morning, we didn't bother to call the hotel desk, but I did mention it when I checked out with them. They apologized. The previous night we ordered room service. The food was pretty good although when we tried calling back to get salad dressing for the salad, no one answered the phone (despite calling 3-4 times). Additionally, the plates, etc., were still sitting outside our hotel door when we checked out at 1000 the next morning. Read more

Let's cut to the chase; this hotel is clearly a nice hotel and its got a beautiful presentation. This review has less to do with the actual hotel, and more to do with the people who work there. Of course, we all know that people will have different experiences. However this experience, was enough to make me NEVER want to revisit this place again. The […] location and facility is nice and convenient. I made a reservation at Hotels.com for this past weekend so I could see my family for Passover. I make several trips to NJ a year, and this was the first and last time I will stay at this hotel. Check-in time is 3pm. We arrived around 2:30 because our 4 hour drive from VA miraculously had no traffic pitfalls. We expected to wait around until 3 so we could check in. So, at 3pm, I asked the woman at the desk if my room was ready. She checked, and told me no, just give her a few more minutes. Ok, fine. 3:15 I return to the desk to check, and she says "I don't know when it will be ready. Try me again at 3:30." Um, ok. Now, let's keep in mind that we were a family of 3 who needed to shower, settle in, and be back out on the road to head to see our family for Passover dinner at 5:30pm. Finally at 3:30 I asked her if it was ready yet, to which she replied "I have no idea when it will be ready." I ask why this is the case since check-in was 30 minutes ago, and why she couldn't just tell me this the first time I asked. A gentleman at the desk said to wait just 5 more minutes. At this point we noticed the hotel lobby was filling up rapidly. Not only was there a dog show (thus about 20 other people with pets stuck in the lobby waiting to check in) but there was a tour bus full of people heading to a large church function standing out front. I could overhear people announcing that they had to move the time of the dog show entirely because check-in was so delayed! Great hotel with easy access to highway. Was not impressed with service or quality of food in restaurant. Not a busy night, had to wait for someone to come and seat me and then wasn't given a menu. Then a second person came over realized I didn't have menu and had to go get one. White wine was warm, shrimp scampi was average. The Sheraton service, room and food were top rate. I would not use Hotels.com, since they did not understand what I was saying and they initially booked me a room in Staten Island when I specified Edision, NJ. Book the Sheraton directly.

We have stayed in Sheraton and same star hotels but this was not a very pleasant experience. It was more like a Highway Motel style (spend a night and move on). Room heater was noisey, Washroom floor were cold as heater vent was not blowing in washroom, coffee maker maker wouldn't start on the third morning. The hotel was excellent. The staff were friendly. Check in and Check out were less than two minutes. The hotel lobby and hallways were very clean. My room was very clean. I was impressed with how white the comforter and pillow cases were. I would definitely visit again and recommend this place to all of my friends.

Water in the tub took too long to clear. Room not clean. AC was not effective. Had to change rooms as we asked for a king bed and got a queen bed. The staff were kind enough to change the room. Room was done without towels in the restroom.

The bathroom tiles had mold. The carper had stains. There was a lot of noise in the hallways. The pool wall were dirty. And to top it all the fire alarm went off at 12 midnight that seemed like an eternity. The hotel management did not apologetic or offered anything to compensate for the false alarm disturbance.
