"Great choice!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Price and location were right. Grounds and maintainance inside and out were above average....flowers blooming everywhere! Front desk friendly and efficient. Room spacious and well appointed with 2 Q beds and new, big, flat screen TV (room 301). Towels were not lush, but there were 4 of them, so no issues!

"Good mid-price choice"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
This is a good choice if North Vancouver is your destination. Lots of shopping and eating in the market below the hotel, which is also where the parking is located. The more upscale and higher priced rooms get you further out towards the water, which can be worth it in terms of quiet and view.
"2 nights in Vancouver."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
Hotel was very clean and new. Hotel is in middle of Chinatown so you won't see many chain restaurants or food other than very traditional Asian.

"The Hotel Le Soleil is close to main attractions."
The Hotel Le Soleil is very close to all the main downtown attractions in Vancouver...Canada Place, Gastown, Chinatown and Stanley Park. The room was a very small suite though (queen size bed took up the whole space) and it overlooked the back of a restaurant with all the garbage dumpsters. First thing in the morning the noise from the garbage trucks […] woke us up. If we do a return visit we might stay there again because of convenience, however, Vancouver needs to do something about the constant irritation of dealing with panhandlers...more than most cities we have visited. "Lovely hotel and rooms"
I found this hotel lovely with unusually large rooms that were well decorated and very comfortable. I prefer boutique hotels and this was really pleasant. The minuses are: the lobby isn't much, the staff was a bit cool and I'm not fond of elevators that require keys. And I parked in public parking across the street and got broken into so have them […] valet. That said, I would stay again and have very fond memories. Read more
"Excellent location, friendly staff"
I "windowshopped"for quite sometime before I decided for Hotel Le Soleil, which finally was beyond my expectations! The only thing that bothered me was that my husband and I had breakfast at the Copper Chimney (2 Continental Breakfast) and they offered me if I wanted more orange juice and I said yes, and they charged extra for it! If you are paying […] almost CAD 18 dollars for breakfast, they shouldn't charge an extra glass of juice ! Read more

"Hotel Le Soleil Vancouver - lovely downtown hotel"
Lovely hotel with helpful staff. We stayed with two children and really enjoyed our visit.
"Hotel Le Soleil in Vancouver, B.C. downtown"
This was the best place to stay! Loved the atmosphere and the staff were amazing! Had room service twice, food was excellent. The concierge helped us find a restaurant for dinner the 2nd night. The valet service was quick, the front desk help were so polite. T
"Great location, great price, great everything"
Love the suite layout. Early risers can go into the sitting area and watch tv while others sleep. Plenty of room and great amenities. Not a large hotel, so plenty of friendly staff to assist as needed.
"Hotel Le Soleil - compact but lovely suite."
The corner suite had all the necessary components and was beautiful but a little tight for a family. The disappointing thing was the hot tub shown in the pictures is actually at the YWCA next door and has an additional fee per person to use the facility. We specifically chose a hotel with a hot tub and were very disappointed that the fee to use the […] pool and hot tub for our family was a significant extra cost. Also, we thought the additional fee for parking was expensive. The valet was very friendly and helpful and quickly brought the car whenever requested. Location is great, close to skytrain with access to the whole city. Read more

"Hotel Soleil"
Little bit cool in the room. When the fan kicked in felt like cool air circulating downwards. When turned the cold water tap on it rattled and groaned..Comfortable bed. Nice shower.Great downtown location.

"Wonderful Stay in a Wonderful City"
We recently stayed at the Hotel Le Soleil in Vancouver for our fifth anniversary. We stayed once before, during our honeymoon, and loved it. It's a beauttiful boutique hotel, with old world service in the middle of the business district of the city, which means walking distance to everywhere. For people who shun the "Chain" hotel thing, this is your […] place. Read more
"Pleasant stay"
Unique hotel in the heart of the City walking distance to the harbor or shopping. The beauty of the hotel is in its decor, very boutique and rich, reminiscent of european hotels. Our room was nice, comfortable in the living room area and clean. The bedroom was very crowded and a bit claustrorphobic so the first night we struggled with getting the room […] at a temperature that suited us, but on the second night we figured it out! We would probably not stay downtown again but look for hotels more toward the Stanley Park area. Read more
"Great Hotel"
Great hotel, well run, clean, up to date -- and hotel personnel very helpful. Reasonable prices for a big & expensive city like Vancouver.
"Good price for nice room."
3 blocks to Cruise Line departure Starbucks across street ,although there are Starbucks on almost any street
"Great hotel, good overall value"
Very well appointed room. The only downside was lack of a gym or pool, but they have a relationship with the YWCA which is right next door. Definitely recommend staying here.
"Hotel Soleil"
Staff were wonderful, exchanged currency, speedy check in and out, great valet service. Hotel restaurant was nice, it claims to be upscale fine dining but thats a bit of a stretch. Room was beautiful inside, was a corner suite, we had a lovely view of a brick wall on one side, and the street view from the front. Only complaint and its an important one […] is that the Heating/Airconditioning unit in our room was extremely noisy, to the point neither my husband nor I got any sleep, every 10 minutes a loud whirring followed by a huge clunk. Not acceptable at all. I've stayed in lots of hotels and it shouldn't sound like that EVER! The bed was SO comfortable unfortunately spent no time sleeping though. Just awful. At the price we paid a good nights sleep is very important! Otherwise just beautiful. Very close to everything. Read more
"Excellent condition"
Our room was well furnished and well maintained. The staff was very helpful in answering tourist questions.

"Hotel le Soleil Vancouver-great location"
This hotel is in a great spot in a great city! Easy to walk to good restaurants and the waterfront, the train, the Hop on Hop off bus. The staff recommended wonderful restaurants nearby. Hotel is very clean and secure. Vancouver is bustling and alive and would love to return some day!
Hotel Le Soleil was lovely in every respect. I would stay there again in a heartbeat! The staff was helpful,. The room (we stayed in a 2 room suite that was comfortable 3 adults for a short stay) was clean & attractive. The hotel's location was in the heart of the city- easy walking to everything.
"Hotel LeSoleil in Vancouver"
Hotel was perfect for our Pre-cruise stay. Right in downtown. Great walking town. Public transport easy to navigate. We used the trolley. Walked our luggage right to the port (only a few blocks) and we had perfect weather. Hotel view and ammenities excellent. Didn't have opportunity to try the restaurant in the hotel, but it looked lovely. We traveled […] with a group of 7 and shared two suites. Plenty of room, pull out sofa bed quite comfortable for two adults. All Staff and services top notch! I would highly recommend this Hotel for future Vancouver stays. Read more

"Hotel LeSoliel - Vancouver, BC"
Very comfortable, warm and friendly. All the staff was extremely helpful - wish we'd had a longer stay. Since we hadn't made reservations at any restaurant on a Friday evening, we elected to stay at the hotel and eat at their restaurant. It was exceptional (and we know food!). Will go back again and spend more time.
"Hotel Le Soleil, Vancouver in Canada"
Wonderful place to stay for those departing on a cruise or to see the city of Vancouver, BC.
"Great little hotel"
The hotel staff was very friendly and responsive. If you got found yourself in a small queue at the front desk, another staff member would pop out to help you. The decor was very attractive, kind of an old world feel without looking worn at all. The suite was a nice size, bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious. My only real complaint was […] the quality of the wi-fi service. It was an extra daily charge and didn't work very well. The alternative, though, was pretty convenient - a Starbucks across the street. Read more
"Very Happy with Hotel Le Soleil"
This hotel was everything I expected it to be. Perfect location for walking to everything downtown, boutique atmosphere, great service and nice amenities. The rooms were clean, nice and quiet. I was most pleased with the proximity to Robson St and the main downtown shopping district. We parked across the street in the city lot and it was $20 for 2.5 […] days, which was better than expected. All in all, this was a very pleasant stay with absolutely no disappointments whatsoever. I would highly recommend! Read more
"fabulous hotel"
this hotel had everything we needed for an overnight stay before heading off on a cruise. The staff was very friendly and helpful. the conceirge recommended some great restaurants nearby and told us about some sightseeing not to miss. The hotel itself was very clean and very comfortable, near shopping and near the port and some good restaurants.
"Hotel LeSoleil"
This was a great stay a short walk from the Convention Center. Very nice staff, however the high priced wifi and lack of a view was a little of an annoyance. I would stay again.
"Super service"
Bellhop was right there as soon as the taxi stopped. Got our luggage and directed us to the front desk. The front desk was very friendly and very helpful. We asked where the shops and dining were located and were told and also given a map. The room was very spacious and clean. The bathroom was bigger than most hotel rooms we have stayed. The shower […] was large. It had plenty of to move around as needed. Nice large livingroom-type room. Both the livingroom-type room and the bedroom have a large flatscreen HD TV with plenty of channels to choose. When we go back to Vancouver, we will definitely stay here again. Read more
"Hotel Le Soleil, Vancouver, Canada, 6/26/2011"
We had an excellent stay & experience at this hotel. The room was comfortable. It is close to the Canada Place and luggage can be easily rolled to cruise ship terminal. Restaurants on Robson St are within walking distance. We stayed for four nights. The hotel provided excellent service for tours & converting US Dollars to Canadian Dollars.
"Hotel LeSoleil - close to convention center"
We had an excellent stay. My daughter particularly liked having her own room in the suite. It was walking distance to everything we wanted to see - convention center, cruise dock, Gastown. Easy to use the bus system. My only complaint is that they didn't fold the towels in the bathroom so it didn't look cleaned up - I didn't need fresh towels, but neatening […] it up would have been nice. Read more
