"Close to parks bit hidden fees Everywhere!"
We are Disney pass holders and have stayed at just about every Disney hotel. The Dolphin seems like a good deal on expedia, but is the same price as a Disney Delux hotel--if not more after the hotel applies it's hidden fees. It also took 30 minutes of waiting in line before we could check in. The hotel is dated and bathrooms need a re-do. Room was very […] humid and the AC never really cooled down. Our major complaint is there are hidden fees and taxes every time you turn around! Add 75-100$ to the advertised expedia price in fees and taxes for a one night stay! Honestly, we were very surprised by the condition of our room. The floor in the entryway and the bathroom was so dirty and gross that our boys even commented on how nasty it was. The sheets on one of our beds were stained...gross! We wouldn't stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review
I found the hotel staff helpful, but not very knowledgeable. While they TRY to answer questions, they need more training regarding specifics. They are there every day and should know more about the parks, transportation, rules and regulations than they seem to.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Went with my husband as a weekend getaway. Wanted to stay there since i was a kid. Not as nice as i expected it to be. Would diffenatly stay at one of the other resorts for the same price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The location of the Dolphin and Swan hotels is fantastic. We walked to Epcot and Hollywood Studios - so convenient even if you just want to take the day off and see one of the evening shows. Right on the lake which has a boardwalk to that wraps around and gives a few more options rather than taking the cattle truck (Disney transport) or taxi to downtown. […] Can't emphasize enough how great the location is and how much this added to our Disney experience. Hotel concierge, bellstand and restaurant staff were all fantastic. Housekeeping has some issues. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Hotel close to Epcot"
My complaint is due of the fact that I was charged with INTERNET, and Parking which at the time of booking was not disclosed. Also I received a package and they charge me just for receiving it. I believed that a Hotel of these category should simply put all theses charges in the room and not charge per amenities as they pleased. Is a distortion of the […] price Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
I didn't pay close attention to other reviews, which warned that this property - althought IN WDW is NOT OWNED by WDW - which frankly, turned into a nightmare and a messed up all of our plans with lots of money wasted. It's a great hotel...clean rooms, good beds, great choice of onsite restaurants, BUT - if you're coming to enjoy WDW - plan on getting […] screwed out of benefits, and unfortunately - noone will be able to help - do your research Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Snafu on registration was disappointing."
I'm conflicted about giving the Dolphin 4 stars instead of 5, but there was an issue that made our stay less than stellar. Upon arriving and waiting in line to register, we were informed that the server for the hotel was down, (and had been for a few hours) and had to be replaced with a new server before the computer system would be up and running for […] check in. We had to schlep all our stuff back our to the car, but walked over to the Hollywood Studios and Boardwalk and killed about 4 hours. We had no problem checking in at 10 PM. I have to say, it would have been nice if the hotel had tossed a couple drink coupons or something our way for the inconvenience while informing us we couldn't check in. We did not complain upon check in at 10PM, and were not offered anything to make up for the issue either. Other than that, the hotel was very clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed the rest of our stay. Be aware of the $15 per day parking fee and the $20 "resort fee" for water, etc. If you drink up your water and coffee/ tea in the room, as well as the gym and internet, you're probably get your money's worth. There was also a 15% surcharge on breakfast at the Picabu restaurant (cafeteria style)--not sure what that's all about. But, we got a good rate on the rooms from Hotels.com, so we just went with it all and had a good time. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We've stayed at a few of the Disney properties, but never the Dolphin. It was a more mature setting...not so Disneyesque. It did have all the quality of the other properties though. I never realized that it was connected to the Epcot waterway so that was a big plus. My only disappointments were in the bathroom area. The vanity was tucked into a corner […] and was rather small and the lighting in the tub area was rather dim which seems to be a common hotel theme. Otherwise, my 18 year old daughter and I were very pleased. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel with relaxing atmosphere."
We went to the Dolphin as a last minute get away for much needed relaxation. We spent most of our time around the hotel and boardwalk area. We truly didn't need to rent the car. Lots to do and eat! We plan to return with the family another time. Try the gift shop, lots of nice merchandise and friendly ladies.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not as good as I expected, but nice"
Food was very expensive for portion sizes, easy to get lost in, no indoor pool, parking should be included in room price, friendly people, not too family oriented, a lot of job gatherings, and the bus was timely/free.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Gone down in service and cleanliness and customer"
4 years later this hotel is no longer what it was. Broken tv...broken fridge...ripped room service menu...u call for service they don't anser..forget to come....food is below standard....restaurants out of main dish by evening...When u complain no one responds back....DO NOT STATIONARY HERE !!!!! OVER PRICED AND HORRIBLE OVER ALL EXPERIENCE !!!Genuine Expedia guest review
What a great stay. You cant beat the location of the WDW Swan & Dolphin and the price is ALWAYS right!! :)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I am all for being green and was happy to forgo housekeeping during my visit. However I expect the bathroom to be mildew free in between customers. Not bad but still I expect clean bathrooms. Everything else was great. Be prepared for high parking expenses and resort fees- this adds $43.00 per night to advertised rate.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very close to most disney attractions"
Overall nice accommodation. But our top sheet had a hole in it that should have been easily noticed by staff making the bed. Makes you wonder, we didn't complain because we were too exhausted too make a room change or deal with staff at that time.Genuine Expedia guest review
The location of this hotel was perfect. You can walk to the Swan hotel and eat or the Boardwalk.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Not Magical.....did not go swimmingly"
If you do not valet your vehicle and/or use a bell hop for your bags we were asked to go straight to guest parking which is pretty far away. Carrying our bags from the parking lot was not much fun. Checkin was challenging also. We added an extra night two weeks prior to our arrival. The front desk asked us to come down the next morning to renew our […] key because they were unable to connect the two reservations, even though it was through Expedia using the same payment method. We even received two separate bills. Unfortunately no one told housekeeping because she thought we were checking out after the first night. There seems to be some communication issues. Lastly, our air did not work in our room. We called maintenance, he stated he fixed it but it never reached a cool temperature. Which is completely opposite of our family's other room. They could not get their air to warm up. It was like the polar vortex in their room. The positive was the food was good in the cafe, the grounds are beautiful, you can walk, bus or take the boat to the parks. The interior of the hotel lobby is grand. This hotel was EXTREMELY reasonably priced for where it is located and what is offered. I felt like a queen. The people there were so friendly and helpful and the amenities were top notch!!! It wasn't just an overnight stay, it was truly an experience and I hope to be able to go back there some day!! Thank you Dolphin!!! Well done!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice hotel, close to the parks and the boardwalk."
Very relaxing by the pool, from our room we had a nice view of the poolGenuine Expedia guest review
Great stay! Our room was upgraded to a deluxe alcove room on the 16th floor with an amazing view of the Swan, lagoon, Boardwalk and we could see the Epcot fireworks from our room too. All this without an up charge. We had to wait a little til the room was ready so they gave us a $50.00 discount. Very congenial staff. We would definitely stay there again […] and recommend to family and friends. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Gorgeous hotel, but no movies in room"
Love the Michael Graves design of Dolphin and Swan. Pool areas are large and attractive; grounds well maintained and pretty. But, what a chock to find that hotels of this standard don't have movies in the rooms. Earth to Disney, we're not in the 80s anymore. Restaurant choices are OK, but too bad that the sushi place features Karaoke every night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent resort in Disney World"
Wonderful experience while visiting Disney World! Great view of fireworks.Genuine Expedia guest review
Overcharged me. They charge you a room rate and apparently add another charge for internet and bottled water. This is not optional which is ridiculous. One of the hot tubs was broken too. Other than that no complaints.Genuine Expedia guest review
I signed up for the "Green " option. This meant daily trash removal, refills of water and coffee but only every 4th day of cleaning and new linens. I checked in on Wednesday, left on Tuesday and never once had my room cleaned. Three days of pulling my own trash and relining the baskets and I finally had to call to get the trash picked up. You pay an […] extra $20. a day for 2 bottles of water and internet and I had to call to get the water bottles. Called twice to say a cabinet door was broken and was promised immediate repair it never got fixed. Dirty food dishes and glasses remained on the hallway floors outside of rooms for 2 days and were ignored and passed by the housekeeping staff. At check out the desk clerk told me that I shouldn't have expected the room to be cleaned because Wed. didn't count since the sheets and towels were clean that day. She also said next time I should not sign up for the Green option. Right, I should have to adapt to the Hotel's problems rather than expect "Disney" quality service. This housekeeping staff has no pride in their work or their facility and it shows. This is not really a Disney resort but is managed by another group with a much lower standard. The rooms are older and a bit shoddy with very small bathrooms, BUT- the beds are wonderful. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Wonderful staff Small bathrooms"
Live in the Bahamas, took my 12 and 17 year olds to Disney/Epcot/Hollywood Studios. Nice enough rooms, very small bathrooms. Every single staff member that we interacted with was not only friendly but remembered us each day, engaged my kids in conversation... Service comparable to 5 star hotels.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good hotel inside Disney World"
The Dolphin is a good choice for those who want to stay in the Disney resorts. It has good restaurants and good location. Better value than other Disney hotels.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Caters more towards business stays than fam. stays"
Loud business conferences in lobby every night of our stay. Bedroom not clean when we first checked in even though we were told room was ready. Previous room tenants dirty sheets in floor. Messy hallway.Genuine Expedia guest review
"It was an okay room"
For a short stay is was okay. There was no vent in the bathroom which was disappointing especially when your traveling with all boys.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Everything about the hotel was great. The easy walk to the Boardwalk and on to Epcot can't be beat. The room was lovely--no complaints about décor or needing an update. Would recommend a room with a balcony. The hotel staff was extremely helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Dolphin Great looks hidden fees"
The hotel was nice overall. The staff I dealt with were top notch. I guess it's part on me for not reading the fine print but the room rate felt like a teaser after I booked and realized that there was a $20 per night "fee" added to the rate... the I got pinched for just shy of $16 per day to park my vehicle as we drove in. We could have stayed at the […] Wilderness Lodge for the same money. The Dolphin brags about their bed quality, well my wife and I felt as if we were sliding into the center, The front door was a little fussy to get into, the bathroom door would not latch either. The coffe pot woulfd not work, we called and were assured a replacement would be brought up, that never happened. I was given a $25 dollar credit so I could order coffee from room service. There was follow up call to make sure the coffee pot was swapped out, I said no, but it did not get resolved. There was no in room safe. The Dolphin is elegant on the surface, but I felt I was getting a little nickle and dimed... Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not worth the money!"
When checking in, the staff was very helpful and courteous. However, the hotel does not offer rooms with queen or king size beds. Very disappointing! The view was of the parking lot which didn't really bother us too much but for the money we paid for the room the view should have been a little better as should the room have had bigger beds! We visit […] Walt Disney World at least 3 times a year and I have to say this is the only about the second time we have been truly disappointed! Way overpriced! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Air Conditioner broken"
My stay was unsatisfactory due to the air conditioning unit blowing hot air. The room seemed small and dated and also when I contact room service, they took over an hour to arrive. Overall, for the money it was not worth it this time around. Could have stayed at the Gaylord Palms for 100 dollars less.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location BUT"
One of the best locations at WDW but rooms weren't great and really outdated bathrooms. Also don't let the name fool you, it is not owned by the Disney company and you can't get all the benefits like fastpass+ preplanning on the app or the magic band.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Best place I stay in a while.. Love itGenuine Hotels.com guest review
only complaint,no washcloths in bathroom.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
For the price, the hotel room's interior was dated and a bit run down (i.e. the plaster was falling off by the tub and there was a soured smell in the halls and elevator). However, the beds were very comfortable and the rooms were clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
