"Gorgeous hotel and nice amenities"
We had a room on the 6th floor with "Epcot Fireworks View" upgrade. I would have preferred the balcony room next door but that was an additional $100 a night and they were completely sold out. It was great watching the fireworks every night from our bed! We paid about $300 a night and at first glance I was disappointed in the over all "wear" in the […] room - but I will say that it grew on me over the week! The beds were phenomenal - super comfortable. The room service and hotel food was spendy but delicious! The 3 swimming pools and 3 hot tubs were beautiful, clean and fun. Staying on Disney property was a real treat. Saved a lot of $$ and hassle not driving and paying to park every day. The complimentary boat ride from our hotel to the Boardwalk, Epcot and Disney Studios was fun, convenient and free! We visited 6 theme parks in 7 days! Skip Animal Kingdom - waste of time and money - after 4 hours - the only animal we seen was a squirrel grabbing snack bar toss offs. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"good location but long check-in line"
The check in process was very slow and the line was long. Each person/group seemed to take 5-20 minutes and they only had two people working the desk. This was annoying at the end of a long travel day. Sound insulation from the hallway is poor - you could hear everyone walking up and down the hall. This hotel is also confusing with different towers […] that don't connect. Then again, the location is good and the room was comfortable. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"This is not a Disney Hotel!"
The hotel is OK, compared to a 4 star hotel not in Disney, but it's tired. First things first, we stayed a very busy week b/w Christmas and New Years, so I will cut them some slack for that. We arrived at 11 am and I had reserved two rooms. Neither were available so we put our bags with the bell hops and went for lunch in their cafe and that was good, […] got a couple nice beers and a rueben and felt pretty happy about life. Then we proceeded to wait until 4:45 until our rooms were ready, by that time we all were tired and cranky. The rooms were good size, we adjoined to the kids, they had two full or queens and we had a king. Overall the rooms were fine but dated. The overall cleanliness was good. The place itself b/w the Dolphin and Swan is huge, the pools looked cool but I did not swim and the grounds are nice. The front desk is good and conceriage as well, but the room cleaning crew left a lot to be desired. I had a stain on the dresser all week, the bathroom tissues were never refilled and the room just did not feel fresh after they were through. The best part about the hotel is location. You can boat to Epcot, Hollywood Studios and The Boardwalk, although it's about a 3 minute walk to the Boardwalk over a little bridge. For the the Magic Kingdom it's the bus and it can get crowded. A trick though is to take about a 5 minute walk to the Boardwalk Bus Stop and it's much easier to get a bus. All in all a good place, but not a Disney Hotel, subtle but noticeable Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great location, terrible accommodations...."
Room needs work. Coffee pot broken, tub didn't drain correctly, beds uncomfortable. The only reason I give it an overall 4 is for the location and our view, which was an Epcot view and we enjoyed watching the fireworks at night from bed!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Do you ever mop the floors?"
We stayed in this hotel because of the price and location. I wiped the tile floor with a white towel and it was black! there were cob webs on the balcony that we upgraded to and we had to wait 4 hours to get our room 4pm even though we called and asked if it would be ready. We already had a room at the Contemporary and would have paid for a late check […] out. My family said they would never stay at the Dolphin again because it was not clean, this is the second time this has happened. Do you have mops? Use them. And vacuum, especially when your making someone wait for that reason. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"nice facade, but not worth it"
The hotel itself is beautiful on the outside and in the lobby. There are lots of good restaurants and bars inside the hotel itself. There was a huge chocolate display with Santa and such when I was there. Hotel staff in the lobby is very nice, but slightly terse. That being said, I stayed in the All-Star hotel as well and had much friendlier and helpful […] service in the lobby. The rooms are straight out of 1992, clean but dated. The worst thing about this hotel is the transportation services. All of the other hotels offer free shuttle service to the airport, but the Dolphin and Swan use Mears Transportation and those people are downright swindlers. I was told that the shuttle to the airport was $44 for two people but the driver charged me $70 when I got there. Also, bus service to the parks is slim compared to other hotels. Overall I was not happy with this hotel. Not worth the money at all. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Very underwhelming. took forever to get room ready.. said they would call when done, never did. Said the room would be ready by 230 was not ready until after 330. Not fun waiting in a lobby with two kids. Asked for a wake up call, never called. room was average. would never stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great DisneyWorld Resort"
My stay over the holidays was my second time at the Dolphin. The location is perfect; walking distance to EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and the Boardwalk with beautiful grounds. For being a more affordable resort at Disneyworld it lacks in nothing. I would come back and recommend it to a friend.Genuine Expedia guest review

overall hotel was nice. bed not very comfortable. food very very expensive. once we discovered the boardwalk places to eat we were much happier. dont eat at dolphin go to the boardwalk for sure.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Disney in December"
The hotel itself was nice. The kids were kept busy with the activities during the day and the arcade room. They did an excellent job decorating the hotel for Christmas and making it a magical experience for children. This hotel only has double beds. So it really does not accommodate a family of 5. The room is small and does not comfortably fit cot, […] so it was tight for the five of us. We made due without a cot. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Very convenient and reasonable."
Due to its proximity to Disney, trip planning is very convenient as far as Disney parks are concerned. Rooms are fine and adequate, though you shouldn't expect more than what you generally get at this price point. However, having said that, the rooms and the settings and the environment are all ok and functional. The only minor complain I have is that […] sometimes there'll be missing towels, coffee packs, etc. But not much of a big deal though. Naturally, as it is not a Disney resort, you have to arrange for transportation to/from the airport. However, the shuttle service is very good, and the price is within reason. "Convenient hotel for Epcot and Hollywood Studios."
Very nice hotel near 2 Disney Parks. Also close to Boardwalk area. Great pool area and other facilities - gym, tennis, basketball, etc. Lots of food selections, but typical high Disney prices but better than average quality and portions. One negative - a mandatory $17/day fee for in-room coffee service and bottled water (2/day). However housekeeping […] sometimes did not deliver them (the cleaning service did a very good job otherwise). Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
There was a strange noise coming from the ac/heat system that was very annoying and would kick on and off all night with a loud whinning noise. Also this hotel is sold as it is part of Disney but is NOT and thought we would have transportation from airport from Disney but was told they do not service the Dolphin or Swan which is odd because all other […] transportation inside of park is. Everything was pretty good except the mattress was very saggy. We told the hotel staff and they put a wood board under the mattress to make it firm. The hotel was over booked so that was the best they could do. Otherwise everything worked out well.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not worth it"
The hotel is dated and old. The room we got had a broken coffee machine, the door of the cabinet where the refrigerator was located was broken, and the closet door was broken. The fan in the bathroom was not working and the paint in the room was bubbling up. The only saving grace is the staff. For $250 per night and $40 parking and resort fees, stay […] somewhere else. "Husband & wife's Christmas without kids"
Transportation to and from the Dolphin Hotel was excellent. Christmas at Disney was very magical. The lights at night was the best for us. "Not so good of an experience"
We did not have a good experience and felt that the rates were too expensive for what you get. The service was terrible! Our initial room was dirty and smelled like mold. We did get a new room but we had to wait in line again to get a new one when the concierge should've taken care of us. Disney is working on a Fast Pass Plus program to access rides […] in all parks, but no one there was able to explain what it entailed or how it worked. Therefore, we were not able to take advantage of the program. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Time for an update"
This is my 4th stay at the Dolphin in a time period of 8 years. Time for an update and time to provide free wifi without the silly resort fee. Just make the rooms more expensive it is ridiculous in this day and age not to provide free wifi, and to charge a resort fee and a parking fee. The rooms are in need of updating and the lighting in the bathrooms […] is horrible as it has been for the last 8 years, and the noise level is very high. Further annoyance is that there was no "Do not disturb" door hand and every morning at the same time housekeeping knocked on the door. If you close the parks at 1:00 a.m. you sure don't want housekeeping waking your kids up every single day. On a positive note, very convenient hotel when you are staying at Disney but for the price tag I expect more. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Horrible front desk"
The manager is unresponsiveGenuine Hotels.com guest review
It seems that we received a handicap room, but they didn't inform us of this. For the most part that was okay, except that the toilet is extremely tall, and I'm extremely short. My average-height husband thought it was uncomfortably tall as well, so it wasn't just me. The decor in the room is okay, and the bed was really comfortable. Our view was not […] very good (mostly a view of the top of the convention center), but we could see Space Mountain & Everest in the distance. The lobby is beautiful and was decorated for Christmas, which was glorious. I loved the small decorated Christmas trees in the revolving front door. It was so convenient to ride the boat to Epcot & Hollywood Studios, and one time we walked which only took about 15 - 20 minutes. We ate breakfast at the Swan, which is next door to the Dolphin, and we ordered off of the menu instead of getting the $24 buffet. That was the best breakfast I've had in a long time. I don't believe I've had a better cinnamon roll in my life, and the oatmeal was delicious. My husband enjoyed his eggs & bacon & the hashbrowns were the best he'd ever had. We discovered too late that you can get $5 to use toward food or other hotel purchases if you refuse housekeeping & inform them of it the day before. We did skip housekeeping, but didn't get the voucher because we didn't tell them ahead of time. I really liked the Swan better (we stayed there many years ago). Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"disappointing view for the price"
For such a pretty hotel, the view from our room was horrible. We hate paying good $ and looking out our window to see a loading dock. When we mentioned to the front desk, the person didn't seem to care.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel, great location."
If you are an Epcot fan, then the Dolphin is a perfect hotel. A great location that becomes even better after the Epcot fireworks. While your fellow visitors are fighting to leave the park only to begin the process again in the parking lot or monorail, you slip out the back for a short walk back to your hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Many Stays, But This One Was Worst..."
We have stayed at the Dolphin Hotel many times and have had very few issues over the years. This past stay, it was so bad, that not only am I writing this review, but I want to make sure the Dolphin knows how unhappy we were with the stay. Outside of the fight inside of the lobby of other patrons whom I have no idea if they stayed there one night which […] didn't bid well with out feeling of safety in this hotel and our kids safety at a Disney resort, the dirty musty room, the loud rooms on both sides of our room, the dirty balcony, the room being as about as far as you can get away from the front desk, the lack of any cleaning (let's be clear, absolutely no cleaning of the room ever happened our entire stay and we did not opt into a green program for our stay even though we tried to use the least amount of towels and we re-used towels as nobody ever came to swap them out, no new sheets, and no new toiletries, we ended up not enjoying the Dolphin Hotel. We have never had such a bad experience at the Dolphin Hotel before and am not planning on staying there on our next stay to try another hotel in the area because of this experience. There is definitely a part of the hotel that we stayed in that is 'aged' and needs dire refurbishment. Hopefully, Dolphin management recognizes this fact and takes to make some changes. The Dolphin fits all our needs. Great location, real good breakfast bar in the morning that becomes a wine/beer lounge later with TV's till late at night. Numerous good restaurants-one open 24 hours-and real nice gift shops. Holiday decorating and entertainment was excellent. "The Bed was Worth it..."
I was prepared to write a negative review of this hotel based on the service quality, or lack there of. But, being able to rock the parks with extra magic hours and then when I fell into that amazingly, truly, most heavenly bed I've been in at any starwood hotel in a LONG LONG time.. I forgot they never delivered my daughter's birthday baloons and that […] it took us 45 minutes to get one ice cream cone handed over at the ice cream shop down stairs. The location and the bed alone are worth the stay. This isn't a true disney property so don't expect the super duper customer service. Be grateful you were able to use starwood points or get a good hotels.com deal. Again, tired bodies, great bed, close location. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

The hotel is conveniently located, however, parking is an issue. If you self park, plan to walk. "Great Gateway to Epcot!"
We stayed at this hotel for one night after a cruise so we could enjoy the Christmas festivities at the Disney parks - especially Epcot. The hotel was very busy with holiday travelers but the service remained spot-on. We checked right in when we arrived at around 11:00 a.m. We used valet parking and went directly to our room - large and comfy. Lovely […] amenities - refrigerator, great TV, comfy beds, free internet, etc. - and walked out the back door of the hotel directly to a water taxi that took us to Epcot (near the France experience). We were so excited about that aspect of our stay that we plan to return to the Dolphin on our next trip the the parks. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Too much $$ for too little"
I anticipated far more bling for my buck. The room was average, however, the beds were very comfortable. The room is showing signs of wear and in need of a minor renovation. The bath tub was very slow to drain (even taking a shower it would fill up and take 30+ minutes to fully drain). The hallway was just wide enough for 2 people to pass (assuming […] they had no luggage or children). Be prepared for the extra charges; $15 per day parking, $20 per day resort fee. The breakfast buffet is $22.95 per person. If the hotel offered true luxury the luxurious pricing would not matter. Luxury prices for a mid range hotel, regardless of the location, is dissapointing. On the plus side the water taxi to the Epcot Initernational gate is very nice. Easy access to dining and clubs at Disney Boardwalk and Yacht Club. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great hotel-- room? Not so much"
The room was nothing special-- found it to be similar to Holiday Inn Express or La Quinta. What killed the mood was that the room had a view of the back loading dock area and not the beautiful shots of Epcot and the resort and the website led one to believe.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Expect to Pay More"
Upon arrival, the valets were overly pushy! At the check-in counter the staff was friendly but lacked Disney spirit.(Maybe Disney should be running this hotel). I was informed of amenities like the gym (who goes to a hotel to work out?), The Wi-Fi internet access (which was slow as heck, my phone was three times faster!), And a bottle of water per person […] per day. All that cost me an extra $$ plus tax a day!!! Then there is parking!! I've never heard of a hotel charging for parking!! If you park yourself (out in the sticks) it cost $ per day, If you valet park it's $$ a day and the valet staff didn't look like the type I wanted driving my car!!
