I have stayed in hotels for years. I would guess over 3000 nights, in 20 countries and during all holidays. This is the first time ever that the hotel room was not cleaned. We left at 10 a.m. and came back at 10 p.m. The room had not been touched. The bed was unmade & no new towels. We had to vacate the room for 30 minutes while someone came to finally […] do the room. After a long day, this experience didn't win many points. So, the next day, I called housekeeping to make sure that the room was attended to. The room was fine when we arrived at 9 pm that night/ The surprise happened the next day when the alarm went off at 6 am. I normally check the clocks on the first night to make sure nothing is set but never the 3rd night. I guess the cleaning person got me back by setting the alarm for 6 am. My cell phone was set for 6:30. So, 1/2 hr sleep is no big loss. I just wouldn't stay at this place again. Read more

The Sheraton, Atlanta is only about a mile from the Georgia aquarium and an excellent place to stay when visiting any of downtown Atlanta's attractions. The hotel is easily accessible from the Interstate and GPS directions took me directly to the lobby.

Great hotel, very comfortable, clean and capable staff. The only annoying thing is the distance between the covered parking and the entrance. I had to walk all the way back through cars lane. But anyway, the uncovered self parking is much closer to the entrance.

The hotel staff were second to none to where I have ever stayed. They bent over backward to assist in any way. With the exception of a minor elevator problem we were extremely pleased with our entire experience there. We would stay there any time that we are in Atlanta.

My only critique is that I arrived late bor a business meeting the next day and I specifically was interested in their 24hr lounge and business center to get a report done and be able to print. I actually stayed here on Tuesday night and then on a Friday night. I used Expedia to book both nights and paid separately for each room. I paid the SAME amount for each room and booked a king size bed for BOTH nights. Tuesday night was excellent. I got exactly what i wanted and paid for. Then Friday came...i got to the room and realized the bed was […] a queen and the room was less than half the size of the first room. It made no sense. I paid for a king. I called the front desk to express concern and was only told that "all Kings were booked or unavailable due to construction and that the price of the queen and king were the same". How could the price be the same and why would i be allowed to book it AND PAY online if all rooms were taken? and why did i not get a refund of at least the difference in price since i paid it?? This makes no sense and it really upsets me the more i think about it to this day. I however, was polite and stayed in the tiny room and bed and then sadly was punished for being so polite and had to hear the loudest people all night and all morning that i have ever heard in my LIFE. The mixture of screaming and hysterical laughter and commentary from one room was perfect coupled with the room next door containing nothing but loud noises from people having **x all night and morning long. My husband and I stayed at the Sheraton Atlanta for our anniversary. We wanted a quiet nice at a hotel and dinner out. The Sheraton is located in a very good spot, convenient to several nice restaurants, many walking distance. Very nice staff, they could not do enough for us, of course we were there on a quiet weekend. The hot tub was very nice, good […] size, but I thought it could be a hotter temperature. They are redoing the pool area and it looks like it will have a great resort look to it once its done. It is a great hotel in the downtown but there is one problem which is no free parking and you have to pay around 29 dollars daily for valet parking or $22 for self parking

The stay in the hotel was great, but parking way too expensive, and the parking structure set up is horrible. There should be a better walkway leading to the hotel, and an easier way to navigate out of the structure. For some reason they had orange cones everywhere. Barely enough room drive. I was so happy that I chose to stay here instead of the one I was considering and had actually almost checked into. It is a little bit further out of the central city however as a female traveller I felt safe to walk around alone within reason. First, let me say that the staff was out of this world amazing!! But we'll get back to that... For a 4-star hotel, I found the room very comfortable, but completely average. It was very clean, and definitely served it's purpose (sleeping, bathing) but it was nothing special. I recommend that if you are staying in an interior (pool view) room, ask for […] one on the third floor or higher. People frequently walk around the pool (an event was held on my first night there), making the noise level rather high and the privacy very low. I couldn't open my curtain the entire time I was there.The breakfast buffet at Collage was just good, but the dinner at Fandangles was AMAZING!! I ate there twice!! A smidge pricy, but the service, location, and yumminess made it very worth it. Above all else -- the staff was absolutely phenomenal!!! They made the Sheraton worth visiting again and again. Every single person I encountered, from housekeeping to the hotel manager, was smiling, happy, friendly, and ready to help. They asked how I was, how was my stay, if I needed anything, and most even remembered my name and why I was there. They honestly made me feel like family. There was a dead cockroach in the hallway in the afternoon, I called to the front desk and told them there was a dead roach outside our room. I was told they would take care of it. Great access from the interstate and (free) self-parking made this site attractive. The room was comfortable and being on the outside of the building, quiet. We stayed a Saturday night, so there were some late-night "hall festivities", but nothing out of the ordinary. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The breakfast was surprisingly good.

Staff were very polite. Always ready to help. My only complaint would be the hvac. The AC blew right onto my bed, something that could be easily remedied by repositioning the bed in that particular room. But regardless, it was nice and I would stay there again.

I could not have asked for better service. I showed up late with a sleeping three year old and was supposed to self park my car. The valet unpacked my car for me while I checked in and then delivered my luggage to the bellman. He went over and beyond. My room over looked the parking lot and I was afraid I would hear vehicle traffic all night, but I was pleasantly surprised that I wasn't able to hear any noise. The beds were comfortable. Bathroom was a little small and dated. Staff was extremely nice. From the hotel we were able to walk to several sites: MLK exhibit, Philips Arena, Aquarium, CNN, […] Coca Cola and Gladys Knight's Chicken and Waffles restaurant.
