Very good location. Close to river and tourist attactions. Market and shops right behind hotel. Interior could do with some updating. Staff was friendly and helpful. Reasonable value.

Great location on the river, easy walk to the lake and around the lake sights. Plenty of food streets to stop and eat beside and behind the hotel. Check-in was quick and efficient, hotel staff happy to hold our luggage until rooms became available (we asked for 3 rooms to be side by side, otherwise could have checked in when we arrived at 11am) and […] we received a phone call once rooms were ready. Breakfast buffet was reasonably priced and offered everything you'd expect; very relaxed attitude toward kids under 12 being charged 1/2 price for buffet. (This is a bonus for us - we've had plenty of hotels wanting to measure the kids to determine their eligibility for 1/2 price and refusing the 7,9 & 11yo kids price). Location is five star. We were upgraded to Li river view room, however Li river view is not as great as expected. The sky is cloudy during the summer . Best to visit is April. Hotel itself feels like 3.5 stars room compare to US standard. But it is quite clean and bed is comfortable with nice pillows. Restaurant is good deal and pretty tasty.

One of the best Sheraton's we have stayed in. Great location and spacious well equipped rooms. We do think that a pair of sunglasses left in our room might have been taken by the housekeeping staff however.

This is a very nice hotel with alot of marble, nice clean rooms, good restaurants. We stayed one night on our way to Yangshuo. They were able to provide a Li river cruise to Yangshou through the hotel's travel booking department. We were staying 5 miles outside of Yangshou and would have had to carry our 4 suitcases from the Yangshou pier, down West […] Street, almost 1 mile to the taxi stand. No one knew how to arrange a car to meet us at the pier. The travel booking department and our tour guide, Andy, who makes this trip daily, said "it can't be done", also. Luckily, while on the boat, we connected with another tour guide, "Cherry", one bright and ambitious young lady, who not only had a car waiting to meet us when we got off the boat, but arranged to have the car whisk us to our hotel, drop off our luggage and return us to her where she had us signed up for an additional afternoon tour for the rest of the day. We enjoyed the hotel but the hotel's Travel Booking department needs some additional training. The hotel should be on top of all matters concerning the Li River cruise because I suspect many of the guests are there just for this attraction, which is indeed a must see when in Guilin. I can't believe that we were the only guests who have not wanted to carry 60 lbs. of luggage almost a mile to a taxi stand. Other than than dropping the ball on this matter, we liked the location and the Chinese Restaurant, where we had a lovely dinner the evening of our arrival. I'm still giving the hotel a 5 rating, but I think shoulld review the travel desk. in the lobby. Read more

The location was the best thing about this Hotel. It does not deserve a 5 star rating. Poorly maintained, musty smelling, a little moldy. It needs a complete refurbishment. The staff was mainly trainees and hard a difficult time communicating with non chinese, be it in English or French.

Although I only stayed 1 night in Guilin on my way to Yangshuo, my stay at the Sheraton Guilin was one of the most pleasant during my 2-week stay in China, which included Shanghai and Beijing. The service was impeccable and everyone spoke commendable English, which distinguished this hotel from others at which I stayed (admittedly, they were not American […] brand hotels). My only criticism is that the Western-style food they offered was not the greatest, but they did offer very grand buffets including Eastern and Western-style food for dinner and breakfast. A dip in the well-maintained outdoor pool was a joy after a hot day on bicyles, which, by the way, are rented at reasonable rates by the hotel. Read more

The breakfast at this hotel was really the best we had on the entire trip. We also ate one evening in the hotel and there was such variety, the food was hot and came with really good wine. The wine was a good wine and it was plentiful. The staff very service oriented. We stayed 2 nights and loved the room, the service and the location. We left a night […] and then came back to it. When we came back our room the 2nd visit was in another section of the hotel, the room not as nice and we felt somewhat let down after having seen the other room. We loved the Sheraton Guilin Hotel. Located right alongside the Li River, it was convenient to the in-town sights. Our 3d floor room faced the river and at first I was concerned about noise, but it was not an issue at all. We were offered an unsolicited upgrade at check-in, and had a delightfully huge room. The king-sized bed was up to western standards...soft […] without being mushy, with a super selection of pillows to choose from (including feather). (After several days of hotels with rock-hard beds and pillows that felt like books, we were thrilled with the comfort of the bed.) The bathroom was large, with a separate tub and glass-enclosed shower. The bath was A-1. Breakfast was included in our deal and was a great selection of both Chinese and western items. The café was on a mezzanine above the main lobby, and was very pleasant. We had dinner there one night, and that was perhaps the only weak point of the trip. Food was good (mostly Chinese food), but there were hardly any vegetables. Didn't really work for us. Also, the $10 glass of sauvignon blanc was skimpy and of bad quality. The lobby was quite nice, with several pleasant sitting areas. We didn't frequent the bar there, but they had a pianist and live vocalist who was quite decent. (At our dinner, there was a pianist and a quite talented young woman playing violin. Nice touch.) We used the pool, which is relatively large and quite nice. It is located between the main hotel and the health center (which we didn't use but looked okay), so it is sheltered from the noise and hubbub of Guilin. Free towels are provided poolside. This is the best hotel I've ever stayed at in China. This is a solid 4-star hotel that you will enjoy! (And if you'll be traveling in China on a budget, this is a hotel that will be a welcome, very comfortable "splurge"for a few nights that you will feel is money well-spent. Read more

A very poor Sheraton with the most tiny, poorly stocked Club Lounge ever seen. Worst aspect was the safe which failed to open, nearly causing us to miss our river cruise that morning. A medium standard hotel at a good price and excellent location. It is walking distance to twin pagoda lake, Elephant Trunk Hill, Fubo Hill, 7 Star Park, pedestrian shopping mall and across the road from Li River. I would definitely stay here again.

Almost impossible to communicate with front desk people, simple don't speak English in a Sheraton. Very large hotel with 4 elevators, 2 under long term maintenance, 1 in out and only one working. Simple chaos.Great location. Please don't try to order food over the phone unless you are fluent in Chinese.

A five star hotel that is somewhat dated and not a five star when compared to similar 5star in other cities ... maybe 4 - 4.5 stars. Well kept and clean with good service. Their 'Cathy Chinese Restaurant' however is thoroughly recommended. Beautiful food and great service and when we were there a young woman playing traditional Chinese 'zheng' (stringed […] instrument). Also the tour desk in reception is also recommended for trips ... we went to Lognshen and cruised to Jangshau and were very pleased with what was recommended. Convenient to everywhere, riverside walk, shopping, etc. Cathay Restaurant (Sheraton) was very good and prices reasonable compared to what we ate in some other best restaurants in Guilin. Stayed in Guilin Shangri-La Hotel previous night and was really disappointed esp. paying 40% more and location was rather inconvenient.

Sheraton Guilin is quite safe for single non Chinese speaking lady. The scenery on the Li river is a must do and can be booked right at the lobby with English speaking attendant. I walked to the sun and moon pagoda and elephant trunk hill without any problems from the hotel.

Although the hotel is showing its age, we thoroughly enjoyed the club lounge with its efficient and friendly staff and great views over the town. The location of this hotel is excellent. Just out of the hotel into Fu Xing Jie. Lots of shops and night bazaars, restaurants and drinking joints. We ate at the Cathay Chinese restaurant on both nights and were very happy with the quality of food served. Overall, highly recommended.

The hotel was close to everthing. We were able to safely walk in the neighbourhood and when needed taxis were really cheap. Concierge was spot on and gave good advice re parks and how to get around. Terracotta warriors were amazing.

Hotel i fin stand efter Kinesiske forhold. Rent og pænt uden at være prangende. Dårligt engelsktalende personale. Problemer med internettet samt at skulle betale for det, skønt at der på bekræftelse står FRI internet og vand på værelset. Vand 1 ltr meget dyr. Skuffende for et hotel i den prisklasse.

Abbiamo soggiornato in una camera club a seguito di upgrade gratuito. Non è uno dei migliori Sheraton, ma per la città di Guilin forse è una delle migliori sistemazioni. Camera grande, bagno spazioso con doccia e vasca e vista sul fiume. Bellissima la posizione sul fiume ed è comodo la sera per uscire a cena o a prendere un drink o a fare shopping! […] La piscina è grande e pulita ma non c'è nessuno per il servizio bar. Bella anche la palestra. Consiglio questo hotel. Per i tour nei dintorni ci siamo affidati all'agenzia presente nell hotel e ci siamo trovati bene anche se il prezzo è un po' eccessivo per quanto viene offerto (attenzione alle tappe per lo shopping: perle, seta, quadri...!!il tour dura poche ore e poi il resto è dedicato a queste tappe spacciate per visite didattiche sulla storia della seta o delle perle. シェラトンといえば高級ホテルという認識がありますが、共有スペースは確かに素晴らしいですが、部屋はそれほど保全されている感じがしません。部屋の快適さからみると価格が高すぎると感じます。部屋からは、下のほうにプールが見えましたが、あまり良い景色ではありませんでした。ホテル従業員の態度は申し分ありません。

立地がよく、すぐ近くに整備された歩行者天国？があるので、食事にも困らない。朝食のブッフェも、名物のビーフン、ワンタン、パン、点心、粥、シリアル、フルーツ等いろいろあり、中華の連続で疲れ気味だったのでよかったです。クラブフロア？に宿泊し、７階のクラブフロアで休憩し紅茶を飲みました。テラスに出られて景色もよく、スタッフの英語での対応もよかったです。夜はアルコール、スナックがサービスされるようです。

Cet hôtel est vraiment chic. Le seul défaut c'est les charges et surcharges. Il y a des charges pour l'Internet ce qui fait songer au moyen âge quand les motels affichaient offrir HBO! L'internet devrait être gratuit comme le téléphone. Pour avoir acces, les gens s'agluinaient dans le lobby où Wifi était gratuit. Très bel hôtel.
