Hotel staff very friendly. nice lobby, good breakfast with fresh fruits and no plastic dishes. After complaining about the size of suite we were sold for 5 persons (definitely too small and not a fair sale) we were given complimentary upgrade to a two bed room suite by the manager which was very much appreciated. Free parking and free wireless internet are very convenient as well as close access to highway and airport.

Location.
Nestled among palm trees drenched in the Florida sun, the smoke-free Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Airport and Cruiseport Hotel in Dania, Fla., is next to the Design Center of the Americas, less than four miles from the cruise ships docked at Port Everglades and less than seven miles from the Riverwalk. The Fort Lauderdale International Airport is just two miles from the hotel. This Sheraton property provides a complimentary 24-hour airport shuttle. The hotel also offers transportation to and from the Fort Lauderdale Everglades Cruise Port for USD10 per person per trip.
Hotel Features.
The impressive lobby welcomes guests with a skylight, two-story windows and a fountain that beckon guests into a haven of relaxation and sophistication. Fitness-minded guests appreciate the on-site fitness center and two tennis courts. After a day of activity, guests relax at the heated outdoor pool and spa tub. Internet access is available at a computer terminal for a fee, or complimentary in the lobby. Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Airport and Cruiseport Hotel features 18,000 square feet of meeting and event space. Casual dining with American cuisine is offered at the Fire Iron Grill restaurant. Fire Iron Grill Restaurant - This casual restaurant serves American fare, including salads, soups, seafood, and pasta dishes. Open for buffet breakfast and à la carte lunch and dinner.
Lobby Lounge - This lounge serves appetizers and cocktails in an intimate setting that is also appropriate for business gatherings. Open afternoon until evening.
Guests enjoy an outdoor splash pool with spa tub and two lighted tennis courts with complimentary use of racquets and balls. A poolside fitness center has stationary bikes, a treadmill, and a stair machine.
Fishing, jet skiing, motor boating, and parasailing rentals are available at Dania Beach, four miles away. Twelve miles from the hotel, the American Golfers Club has an 18-hole, par 58 executive course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., a driving range, and pro instruction.

With an adjacent network of freeways, the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport is easily accessed by car. Many take private transfer from the airport to the Port Everglades ship terminal, where cruises depart for the Caribbean and South America. Nearby, gamblers can wager on fast-paced ballgames at Dania Jai-Alai. Boomers theme park lies directly south of the airport in Dania Beach.

Free shuttle to the hotel from airport. Nice exercise room and pool. Room was very comfortable, staff friendly, and hotel was well-maintained and clean. Shuttle provided by hotel to points of interest and cruiseport. Definite return stay next time catching a cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale.
I have an un-authorized charge for $50.00 on my card, I have called and was advised they will check and call me back. No return call today. I will reverse the charge tomorrow if they doi not respond.

"Close to Cruise Ships"
We stayed 3 nights prior to our cruise and 2 nights following our cruise. The staff was great and very helpful. Espically found that the bar tenders, Louann and Patrick were very freindly and provided great service, as well as all the wait staff. I would stay there again without hesitation.

"Here for Work"
Not a horrible hotel but I had a horrible experience with directions to a near by restaurant. The guest services desk told me it was close by and the walk was well lit. I took one wrong turn (due to not great directions) and ended up on a dark street with no lights, no sidewalk and a lake near by. As a woman alone I did not feel very safe and was scared […] for my life. Luckily I had a smart phone with me that guided me along the way - for the most part, even that didn't know exactly where the restaurant was hiding. 30 minutes later I arrived sweaty and upset. this hotel is very nice, close to the airport and highways. Hotel staff is very helpful in suggesting where to go eat (not just chain restaurants but local ones). only gripe I have with this hotel is that they charge $15.00 parking fee per night. years ago it was free. "Ft Lauderdale airport hotel"
Had a quick stay here as I had family business just for a morning. The bed was soft and my wife and I just kept rolling towards the middle. The water in the bathroom was warm, but not hot. The bathroom was so small that the door touched the toilet, and so we absolutely had to use it one at a time. Their computer system was down when I checked in so […] I could not add my Starwood number, and was also down when I checked out, so I didn't EVER get a receipt, even though they promised me one. "Over priced for what you get."
The hotel expensive and I think if we had stayed a a cheaper hotel we would have been better off. We ate dinner in the restaurant and were very disappointed with the waiter. We told him that we wanted to split the sandwich and each of us get a side salad. We got the sandwich but had to ask for an additional plate and the two side salads never arrived, […] so we just each ate half the sandwich. The room was a little on the average side. I was extremely disappointed and recommend that you find a cheaper hotel. On the plus side they did have transportation to the cruise ship . "Sheraton @ FLL"
rooms and overall quality of the location is decent. The pool area is nice, the rooms and property though need an update. The food quality at breakfast was not good at all and is not worth the cost. Our entire party of four people got sick from the food we ate at breakfast on our last day of our stay here prior to departing for our cruise ship....one […] of the persons in our group was sick enough to be quarantined to her room for 2 days till the medical staff released her making sure she was okay and not sick enough to effect the people around her. This looks like a hotel that was really nice 20-30 years ago... and hasn't been touched since. The elevators are slow and clunky (one was out of service the whole 3 days); it was actually faster for me to walk up 8 flights of stairs, most times. My key suddenly stopped working in the door, the hottub was freezing, etc. etc. Actually the gym was pretty […] nice; it appears to be the only portion of the hotel that's been recently updated. The bell staff and checkin staff were nice and helpful; the bar staff could really use some charm school lessons though. But the worst part is the location; there is literally nothing outside within walking distance. If you don't have a car, you definitely want to consider something else. The actual room was nice enough; bed was very comfortable. If you're just looking for a place to lay down for a night, it's not a bad choice. Just don't expect much else. Read more

"Ft Lauderdale Sheraton Airport"
I have never stayed in a hotel where all the service personnel were so friendly and helpful as this hotel. I asked many questions that I was sure they all could not answer and yet they had the answers immediately( names coming to mind immediately are Rich, Omar, and Oscar). The front desk employees went out of their way to help in any situation I needed […] help with, especially Fitzroy, who was always there with helpful info when I needed it. The employees in the lounge were always pleasant and presented with smiles and cheerfulness when I was in the lounge. I don't think I have ever encountered an overall staff who represented their employer as well as the staff at the Sheraton. The only reason I have not previously submitted my critique of the hotel is that my wife and I have been ill and are just now recovering as I write this. Read more
"A long way from anywhere"
If you arrived at the airport for an overnight before a cruise - as we did - you may find the hotel inconveniently located. The hotel is not located near any commercial establishments. We walked for a half hour (and we are fit) to the nearest mall and McDonalds. Not that it wasn't an interesting walk, but that gives you an idea of its location. Nice personal. Great beds. Don't bother booking a Club Floor room not worth the extra money as there is no free wifi in the rooms or free alcohol beverages during happy hour in club room just cheese, carrots and celery w/dip and cajun rice w/bread with water or soft drinks and a limited cold contental breakfast. Hotel convenient to airport. Hotel food too expensive and not good at all. Ordered pastries for breakfast. They were ice cold and not worth the price they charged...better off buying at airport. This location good for one nighter. If you need to go around town, go to the other hotels with same ameneties with airport shuttle.

"Great Choice"
The only partial negative is its location, near the airport, and even so the noise level was fine. Otherwise it was a great choice, I will choose it again.

"Shertaton- Fort Lauderdale Airport"
My stay at the Sheraton was quite comfortable. The beds and pillows were quite plush. The beds had new pillows which were soft; however, as I laid my head on them a fowl smell came out. It was an odor that I equated to wet laundry that has sat around in a plastic bag... wet and sour. When I removed the pillow case I noted that the stuffing consisted […] of down and waterfowl feathers. The pillows were soft, hence the down feathers. However, they were also "fowl." "Great Lobby Smell - No free internet or Parking"
I know that is a weird title but when you walk into this hotel they have a scented lobby. It is fantastic. The hotel has a free shuttle servcie to the port and airport. That is great. However if you are staying more than a couple of days get a car because the hotel has its own restaurant and that is it for eating around there. I walked across the […] street to other hotels just to change it up. It is just a couple minutes to the airport. The only thing I didnt like about the hotel is they charge you for internet service. Charging for Parking is common around there because people who take a cruise try to sneak their cars in there and leave them during the cruise.
