"Cheap but decent"
The bathtub was damaged and I felt like I was going to fall through! Other than that, the room was very clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. All in all, it was an inexpensive stay in w decent location.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Motel 8 in Freeport, ME"
Older motel that has been given an attempt at a facelift. There was no security getting into the motel from the outside doors, only the doors to the rooms. The room was clean enough and the bed was comfortable, but when something dropped behind the dresser and I needed to retrieve it, it looked like it hadn't been given a thorough vacuuming in quite […] sometime. The TV was older with fuzzy reception and the water smelled like sulphur. The "complimentary breakfast" consisted of cereals and a waffle maker, but the coffee was good. Motel in great proximity to shopping, but will try not to stay there again if ANYthing else if available. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good option for the price"
Rooms clean and well-kept. Great option in a pricey region.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"save your money"
So not worth the $120....would definitely pay the extra $30 next time for a real hotel!! The door on the end we went in wasn't even locked so anyone could walk in to the hotel at any time. The breakfast area could only accommodate about 20 people at a time and the hotel seemed pretty full.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Upon arrival the clerk was out smoking by the front door so had to wait a minute until he was done. It was late so my three kids and i were tired. I asked for a copy of my receipt to show at border and since i booked through expedia he told me i had one emailed to me, unfortunately my phone didn't receive this email so just asked for a copy of the info […] i just signed with the date and credit card number but wasn't allowed to have a copy. Room was chilly since window was wide open and everything was unplugged. Lights, clock and even the fridge. We went to put some food in it and it was warm with a pool of melted water. The room was small and dirty. Would never stay again. Walls must be very thin as we could clearly hear our neighbor s tv. Girl at checkout time was only good thing. Very helpful and gave me a receipt. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Good overnight place to stay."
This hotel could use some updating and repainting. It was however clean and quiet.Genuine Expedia guest review
After a nice cisit with family, i was leaving to fly home & at the airport i realized I didn't have my dental bridge. From the airport I called the Motel. Although at first they didnt find it, the next day they found it & my son was able to send it to me. This was an expensive item so for me it's return was wonderful. The people at Super 8 have earned […] my loyalty & endorsement! When any of my family is back in town they will stay there! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice, affordable hotel"
This hotel was just fine for our visit to Freeport. It was clean and in good shape. Not fancy, but exactly what we'd expect from a Super 8, so it provided what we were seeking.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The room was economical and met my needs.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Near outlet shopping...cleanliness poor"
Hair on the bed blankets & bathroom shower floor blackened/dirty...breakfast failed to offer much variety...just bananas for fresh fruitGenuine Expedia guest review
"Rooms small, old and stuffy"
We had booked for 5 and got a room with two small queen beds, with no extra beds or even a cot available. The guy at reception did not even pretend to care. Fortunately, we only stayed for one night.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great for the price"
Room was half the cost of the surrounding hotels. The room was clean and comfortable and affordable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Always reliable. I stay here all the time on my way Down East. It isn't a 5 star hotel, but you get what you pay for - cheap, clean, good, quiet. New linen. Decent breakfast. See you soon!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"It's Super8, not great & nothing to hate."
Good: courteous staff, price, quietness Cons: cramped, chemical odors (maybe from cleaners), location, proximity to good food.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Give us more warmth potential."
I was only there for one night and it was pleasant. Since it is still cold outside in Maine, I turned on the heat, but it didn't heat up the room very well. I looked for a blanket that I could put over me beside the regular one sheet-one blanket-one thin bed spread. There was none in the room, so I placed my jacket over my feet and went to sleep. When […] I woke up, the thin and slippery bed spread had slipped towards my feet. My jacket was on the floor. I was still rather cool. Other than not being very warm and cozy, everything else about the room was good. I would suggest a thicker, less slippery winter bedspread in the winter-time, and an extra blanket somewhere in the room for us cold-blooded guests! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Good 3 season place"
The room would have been fine if the heat worked. Luckily I was in a double by myself and could take the blankets off the other bed. Nice breakfast, really like the make your own waffles.Genuine Expedia guest review
generally average.... motel does require some maintenance. Fulfilled our needs as we spent most of our time out and about town and only required a clean and safe place to stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"lower cost option in Freeport"
A fair value for the price, which includes a light continental breakfast. But the corridors smelled unpleasant, and if I had been traveling alone I would have been a little concerned at the lack of security; you don't need to use your room key to get into any of the buildings.Genuine Expedia guest review
"you can likely do better"
one of the two bed mattresses slumped into a slough of despond. And, room very small.Genuine Expedia guest review
"decent nights stay"
Room was clean and staff helpful. No microwave in room or breakfast area was a disappointment as we had leftovers from dinner out.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is right on the highway. Unable to sleep with the traffic noise. would not go back.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Foliage weekend away"
It was surprisingly nice. The room was clean and comfortable, with a fridge and microwave. The bathroom was clean (a deal breaker for me). Only downside was that I found the bed too hard (but that's a personal preference) and our room was at the end of the building, which meant we heard people come and go, but again, not a fault, just circumstance. […] I would stay there again. It's not far from the outlets and about 25 minutes from Portland. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Located outside Freeport"
Typical hotel with simple amenities, priced right. There was limited seating in the breakfast room. Chairs missing. Breakfast selections were also limited. Probably would stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I bring my parents here every year, the reason we return to this motel verses all of the others in the area is the staff. The same staff seems to be here every year and are so friendly. This means a lot to us, very comfortingGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good little hotel"
Stayed in the area to attend a conference at Pinelands a short distance away. This hotel was convienent to the Interstate, shopping in Freeport and other not too far from Portland. I needed wifi for business and this service was excellent. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet even though it faced the highway, I was not bothered by noise. The breakfast […] was OK but there were not enough tables so had to sit and eat in the lobby or take things back to my room. Overall a nice, cost effective stay. First time in Maine and first time ever staying at Super 8; no complaints.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The breakfast area had problems with the waffle machine not working , toaster not working and the seating area insufficient..Genuine Expedia guest review
Our stay got off to an unpleasant start. We were assigned to a room that had not been cleaned. Apparently, the housekeeper had told the desk clerk all the rooms had been cleaned. He was very apologic and quickly assigned us to another room. The rest of our stay went okay. We would recommend the return of the luggage bench to the rooms Not happy about […] having to open our luggage on the floor. Forget the continental breakfast. Diluted orange juice was nasty. "Lack of service"
While staying at the Super 8, the rates were good and so was the location. The only issue we had was that the guy I checked in with gave me no information at all. We had to call the front desk numerous times for info on wifi and breakfast, etc. understanding that it is peak season right now, I actually felt that the people in Portland was nicer than […] the people in Freeport. "Very pleasant, for the price."
Everything in Freeport in the summer is outrageously priced!!!! That being said, as one of the cheapest places that I found to stay, this was pleasantly surprising. Very helpful and friendly staff. The breakfast was good...waffles, bananas, bagels, muffins, cinnimon buns, hard boiled eggs, toast, yogurts, cereals. Plus milk, juice, teas and coffee. […] Plenty for a free bonus! Not a lot of frills, but a decent place to stay if you don't want to spend an arm and a leg. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"I felt like I camped in the woods"
Dirty floors, smelled Awful, even in the middle of the night after I was hoping to get used to the smell. The bathroom floors and tub were horrid, couldn't even take a shower and wouldn't let my daughter walk around the room without shoes. The beds were stiff cheap mattresses... Expected, but the pillows were old dollar store quality pillows. The experience […] was awful, but it was a roof over our heads, not much more. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"summer get away"
the breakfast was lacking and seating even more lacking (only three tables) beds comfortable and clean, staff bright and helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
We we're stuck in a smoking room since that was all they had left but the entire hotel felt disgustingly dirty. Our room stunk to high hell. Even the bedsheets stunk. It was difficult to even let the sheets touch our skin. Alarm clocks were totally broken and showed letters instead of numbers. Outlets in the bathroom were loose and couldn't hold the […] plug for my curling iron. This hotel was WAY overpriced based on the condition. I would never return. The hotel was ok but could use some updating.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The room smelled terrible and the beds were very small and uncomfortable. The linens had stains on them and the pillows must have been ten years old. The front desk person was very pleasant but that's the only good thing I can say about our stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"simple, clean, and eager to please"
It was ok. We spent very little time there, basically to sleep. It would have been nice if there was some place to sit and enjoy the outside. No tables, chairs, benches...Genuine Expedia guest review

"Quiet, Convenient, Economical"
Even though this hotel is practically on the intrestate, the room was very quite. It appeared clean however, a musty ordor greated me upon entery to the room. I think the hotel went through a recent renovation, however the painters stoped midway through my room, the jagged line separating old and new paint clearly evident.
