Staying at Howard Johnson Flagstaff AZ was ok. The room was an alright size. I got a great deal on the price when you book about a month early. The one thing that the website states was a king size bed when we got there it was about a full size bed so I thought that was funny. It was clean when we got there. The one thing I really like about this stay was the heat light in the restroom because when you shower either in the morning or night the floor and the restroom wouldn't be cold plus the mirror didn't fog up. If I had another trip there in Flagstaff I would stay there again just for that.

The hotel served its purpose. We were there for a wedding that was a half mile down the street. The rooms were clean and I thought the beds were comfortable. The only thing I did not like was you could smell cigarette smoke.

Booking this with 48 hours notice left us with the Super 8 Sedona for this family of 5, used to some great hotels. The area is great, the rooms are also comfortable, but the bathroom was not spotless at all: hair in the closet, tube and the whole bathroom did not seem to be enough clean at all. Breakfast is basic, but OK, no other issues.

You don't have to pay 'through the nose' for 'magnificent views' touted by the upmarket Sedona hotels. The views are all around the town and easy to get to. No free breakfast to speak of, but no problem for me since I don't eat hotel food. Shower had good water flow, not like some paltry water saver shower heads. As with many motels, doors slam when […] leaving room, so there is a lot of door slamming starting early morning (6 am) when guests begin leaving for the day. Otherwise rooms are quiet and comfortable. It was a freezing winter day/night when I stayed, and the room was toasty warm. I would highly recommend this place. Can't really say anything negative for the money we spent. It was quiet, the walls were thick, the shower was hot, and the place was spotless. Wish we had time to stay for breakfast as the menu looked great and affordable. Right in the heart of everything.

I stayed here for Sedona marathon. After marathon running, check-out time was already over but the hotel did a big favor to give us additional time to take shower and to pack our belongings. Enjoyed my stay. The room was large, clean and comfortable and at the back of the motel where I was, there was no traffic noise. The breakfast was simple but generous. For Sedona, which for the most part is comprised of high end resorts, Super Motel 8 provides excellent value for people who want to base themselves out of a convenient location then explore […] the many amazing things one can do in the Sedona area. If you want golf, tennis and/or resort offerings, go upscale. If you just want to hike, explore, and see the area, this place provides all you need. Our room was pleasantly clean with a microwave and fridge. It was cool outside while we were there and the heater in the room worked great! The breakfast was good but no fruit choices for people who are diabetic. A good hotel for the price.

I didn't expect much seeing how the outside looked like. The rooms, however, was much better than what I expected. Its not filthy. The bathroom was rather clean. The carpet color didn't allow me to judge how clean it was, but that happens with a lot of the hotels. If you booked early enough, there're couple more popular/unique accomodation options. Don't overwhelmed by the not-so-Sedona hotel architecture. It's a huge Super 8 motel, ok. But the rooms are brand new and everyone is friendly and HELPFUL.
