We had a late check in, got to the room and it was dirty; beds unmade. So my husband went to get another room...got there and beds were made but floor was filthy. French fry and crayon on floor and really dirty. They told my husband we could get a $20 gift card for our trouble in the morning when the manager got there and they pretty much ignored him […] when he went to the desk the next morning. The hotel was close to the interstate, which was good, but the noise of the traffic was noticeable. The room and lobby were outdated, not a big deal to me as the room rate was affordable. The room had a horrible smell to it, no soap or shampoo. Found a pill box with pills under the bed. The bed sheets had a stain on it. The bed itself was in horrible condition.

My stay was great. The room was always clean and quiet. The staff went the extra mile to ensure everyone comfort needs were met. I will be using this hotel from now on every time I am in the Terre Haute area.

Hard bed, small lumpy pillows, no extra pillows available, and the carpet looked like it was very dirty. It was nice that a continental breakfast was included. Good price for the room itself.

We were not warmly greeted at the desk when we checked in - sorry to bother you! Rooms are oddly shaped and the linoleum in the bathroom was all curled up. There were many other hotels in the area advertising rates lower that what we paid and they were brand new facilities. Pass this one up and stay at other properties.

The hotel clerk was very helpful, however the carpet in the whole building was old, nasty and needed to be replaced a long time ago. The bed in the room was clean and the bathroom but it smelled like mold/mildew. For a little more money I could have stayed at a nicer hotel closer to the interstate. I never have had this kind of review for Super 8 before. […] There was road work right near the hotel that made it difficult getting back on the road; plus it set way back behind another hotel and some warehouse type building. The hotel was nice and in a good location. The hotel service was good but had a over powering smell of mold in the room. The air conditioner was not very good at cooling the room but made it comfortable as the night went on. Overall not a bad room especially for the price.

Stains on the hallway floor and elevator, as well as an awful smell I can only describe as musty cigarette smoke. The two key cards we received did not work to access our room. I had to run back down two flights of stairs to get new keys, since the elevator was slow. Fortunately, one of the two replacement keys worked, (the other one still didn’t, and […] the working key actually stopped working the next morning, again, resulting in my having to go back down to the front desk to get another card,) so we were able to get into our room. I almost wish we never got in. As bad as the hallway smelled, the room was even worse, because it seemed like they had tried to cover up the musty/smoky smell with some overpowering awful smelling cinnamon/mint air freshener. The room was less than inviting, with a noticeable crack in the ceiling, a crack in the shower, a ripped comforter, a burned out light bulb and a bathroom door that didn’t close properly. The A/C unit squeaked loudly all night, and the hair dryer didn’t work in the morning. Overall this was the most unpleasant hotel I believe I have ever stayed in. There was a notice posted at the front desk indicating that Indiana had passed a law banning any form of smoking on the hotel premises. Either that went into effect the day we got there, or it was not being followed, because that was the smokiest smelling “smoke-free” room I’ve ever been in. Read more

The hotel was close to the freeway. They do offer breakfast in the morning. The staff was pleasant. The room did have a fridge, microwave, and safe. It was a clean room, but the bathroom area needed maintenance. The sink faucet was very loose and the shower faucet was away from the wall.

My daughter and I were comfortable and had what we needed. I had read some pretty withering reviews of the hotel and was a bit apprehensive. We had good service--oh, except the in-room phone didn't work. But not an issue just to call the desk with my cell phone. Not straightforward to get to, what with being tucked in behind other hotels, road construction, […] and "you can't get there from here" roads; but signage was good and I didn't go astray. Every staffperson I dealt with was friendly, polite, and helpful. Breakfast was basic but dining area was spotless and well-maintained. Room was very clean but showed some wear. All in all, my experience was at the high end of what I would expect for such an inexpensive place.

The Desk clerk was snippy. The hall carpets were stained/dirty. The location is not nice, off on broken roads but still right up to the freeway(Noise was a problem).

Front desk clerk was nice. We reserved 2 rooms - one on the first floor which smelled musty/smoky and the second was on the second floor and the bathroom was not inviting - no one would use the shower. It was 2 a.m. when we checked in and we were too tired to ask for another room. It was an inexpensive place to sleep for a few hours until we could get […] back on the road.
