The room was nice enough for the price. The front desk agent was extremely rood. When I was checking in she acted like I was a burden. She was real breathy and short with me and was mad that she had to sign in to the computer to get the check in process started. She clearly didn't care that I was a paying customer. Weather came through and knocked power out to the area I was in for a race. When I went to the front desk, they told me people either had power and no AC or AC and no power, due to the limited power we had in the area. However, my friend staying in the same hotel had both. We had to end up staying in his room because our AC was not working and the outside […] temp that day was over 100 degrees. Also, there was a bar/restaurant next door that played loud music. If you'd on one side of the hotel, you might be kept up. Rates this weekend were good so we booked there and if the weather hadn't come through, I might have enjoyed it more. MapQuest did not give a very good job with the directions, once in Danville to this hotel. I called the front desk and she stayed on the phone with me until I back on the right track. She also allowed me to check in early. The hotel was very quiet and clean.

Stayed here because it was almost a third cheaper than also 2-star rated Comfort Inn. Staff are very friendly, and attentive. This is an old hotel and though it's got newish carpet, you definitely notice that many other things could stand to be replaced - such as the old CRT TV that's got white lines running across the top of the screen. The room was adequate to catch some Z's and take a shower. Would not recommend for an extended stay but for one night it served its purpose. The carpet was new but the building itself was older and needed some renovations. Overall, it was a decent hotel for the price.

There was some type of minor remodel going on in the lobby. Not a big deal except they had the continental breakfast moved to a regular guest room, that still had the bed in it. It felt a little weird going in there to get some food. The continental breakfast selection was the poorest I have seen from any hotel in several years. Althought not luxurious the room was comfortable, quiet at night, and had all the coveniences necessary for a traveler and the bed very comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful - and had a sense of humor - which made the stay pleasant.

My stay was not that comfortable. When we first got there, the toilet wouldn't flush. The mainitenance man came and "fixed" it. The toilet then began to overflow nonstop (we were placed in a different room because of this). The shower was filthy. The room, hallway and elevator all smelled. The mattresses looked dirty. The AC unit was also dirty. The […] televisions are very old and you cannot hook up a DVD player or video games. My television's button was also broken. The remote had tape holding the batteries in. Our first room had a fridge and microwave but when we were moved because of the toilet, the second room didn't have them. There are some positives. The hotel comes with free Wi-Fi and a continental breakfast (good muffins danshes, and cinnamon buns, cereal, milk, coffee, orange juice, and apple juice). It's very easy to find and great location (very close to stores). Despite the condition of the hotel, the staff was VERY nice. However, I will never stay here again. Next time I won't be so cheap and I will get something of higher quality. Read more

The first room was horrible. the frig had black grime on the out side, bathroom filthy, rugs in room & hallway filthy, dust and dirt everywhere. Changed rooms, second room air conditioner was filled with dust had to be taken apart and cleaned to use. Dust on the pictures, rug in room filthy. Attention to details in cleanliness was lacking. Lobby and elevator smelled like smoke. Continental breakfast was minimal at best. Security locks at the hotel lobby were not comforting; made me think I was in a high crime area although I'm sure I wasn't. Room was fine except for a major pile of dust under the safe.

II would NOT stay at this motel again NOR would I recommend this motel to anyone for the following reasons: 1- We had to request fresh towels (which was NEVER delivered to our room athat had to be picked up from the front desk staff) even a day after my sisters and I checked in. 2- My sister had to change rooms immediately after check-in as even though […] I requested 'NON SMOKING' rooms, the room she was giving REEKED of cigarettes. Apparently the 'NON SMOKING' rooms wasn't always a NON SMOKING room. 3-My sisters and I checked in early (6amish) on Saturday, April 30, 2011 after driving all night from NYC for our brother's wedding. As soon as we checked in and settled down, we were awakened by loud vacuum cleaners and the incessant chatter of the housekeeping staff in the hallway. 4-The receptionists/Front Desk staff stayed on the phone engaging in personal calls so whenever I/we had a question or reuest, I felt as if I was 'interupting their personal time at work' even though I was a paying customer with a legitimate need or question. 5-Our rooms wasn't cleaned/freshened up AT ALL during our entire 2 night stay. 6- The continental breakfast setup was okay but the coffee was cold and the pastry items were limited and once they ran out of a particular item you were just out of luck as nothing was replaced or replenished. 7-We were only in Danville for a wedding, so an elaborate hotel room wasn't necessary but for what I paid to stay in a 'motel' I could've paid to stay at a nicer establishment with a more professional staff with better amenities and an overall better facility. Don't expect to be wowed when you walk in and think you're in a resort. Won't find that here. What you will find is a cheap hotel to rest your head when you head to the track for the weekend that won't break the bank.
