"Could have been cleaner"

Room was okay for price... Slow drainage in shower... Toilet not cleaned to my satisfaction.

The front desk staff was very friendly both upon checking in and checking out. The cleanliness of the room was quite the opposite. I had to clean the bathroom before using it...there were long black hairs all over the bathroom, including some of which were stuck to the hair dryer!

Overall okay hotel. Breakfast was very basic. The shower head in our room was covered with mold.

"No Frills Room at the Right Price"

This is a great place if you are looking for a no frills room at a great price. The hotel staff were friendly and were ready to help with whatever we needed. The room was relatively small, but included the basics like TV and telephone. The bed was adequate...nothing great on comfort, but it was more than adequate for a good night' sleep. There was also a small safe in the room for storing personal valuables. That was an unexpected nice touch although we did not use it. There is an ice and vending machine area that also has some exercise equipment! Surprisingly the vending machine prices were very reasonable and did not look like they were trying to extract the last bit of change from your pocket. Also unexpected was breakfast rolls and coffee in the entryway. A stay at the Martinsville Super 8 is worth the money!! It get top marks from us.

Pleasantly surprised. I was looking for low cost and got exceptional. They were very friendly and courtious. Rooms were well kept and the place was very clean. It's an older Hotel but well worth the price. I stayed at another Super 8 in Nashville the following night and this one out did a much bigger hotel. Keep up the good work.

"Was ok for the money..."

Room was on the first floor (which was more like basement), with view on a dumpster. Bathtub needed a good scrubing, but room smelled ok, and entire floor was reserved for non smoking guests.
