    This hotel was much cheaper than the other options I had, and there was really nothing wrong with it. The breakfast was very basic -- waffles and cereal... -- but so what?     Response by Super 8 Hampton Va First to start with, I apologize for the experience you had, I wish we would have known about your experience at the time of stay. We have on call maintenance person which can take care any security or maintenance issues, Just one phone call to front desk may have made big difference. As a manger i would like to see those pictures, We have very good house keepers, We check all cleaned rooms every day to make sure they are up to super 8 standard. We have 16 cameras watching all hallways and parking lot, Again I am sorry for bad experience, Thank you for your time.

    I walked into the room and instantly became nauseated from the smell. About 10 minutes later, I found myself in the bathroom vomiting..... The room has no microwave and the one ice machine that the hotel has was broken. If I hadn't booked online with hotel.com's no refund policy, I would've left stayed somewhere else.     It was a bare-bones room with just the necesseties. The room was fairly clean but there was an armchair in the corner that was in DIRE NEED of cleaning, it looked as if comeone had urinated on it at some point. It was really gross. I had to cover it with a towel to be able to sit on it. The staff was pleasant and we were promised a breakfast which consisted […] of danishes, muffns, coffee, tea, cereal and the likes. They should have labeled it a continental breakfast instead! It was good enough for what we were there for but I probably won't stay in a Super 8 again.     I reserved and paid for this rm about a wk before I stayed there. My reservation was for nonsmk and a queen size bed. When I checked I they had neither. I hate the smell of cigaret smk and I hd to sleep in a smk rm for one nite. When they changed me to another room in the morning the rm was a double bed. I was happy or satisfied with super 8.

    For the price, it's a real bargain. The staff are extra helpful and friendly. It sure ain't the Ritz, but for what you pay it's great. Close to everything in Hampton. The sign out front said 'under new management,' so it may be different from what others have described. I would definitely stay again.

    The room smelled pretty bad (skanky musty smell.) Bathtub faucet leaky. Beds were not comfortable at all.. and were pretty gross. I advise taking your own blankets/pillows if you choose to stay at this hotel. ...But I guess you can't expect too much from a hotel that accepts dogs and has condoms in the vending machines.
