You never know what you're going to get with Super 8. On the plus side, this is a great location near The Rim, La Canterra, Six Flags, with easy access to the 1604 and 410 loops. On the negative side, the carpet was very dirty (my husbands feet were black after a few minutes barefoot), the bed was a wierd size somewhere between a King and Queen and […] was uncomfortable, the continental breakfast was very sparse, and there was "adult personal protection" in a dispenser in the lobby. We won't stay there again unless we have no other options. One more thing, the soaps were made out of vegetable oil and felt gross. Front desk personnel very helpful and nice. Hotel clean, but the old carpet and smokey bar smell throughout the building is overwhelming. Parking is competative, a little more care could be shown for the hotels outside appearance and rear entrance security. Otherwise, staff friendly, Rooms clean, but smells too much like an old smokey bar.

Environment was quite with room service every morning. Empolyers are friendly. Hotel is surrounded around many restarurants, six flags like 2 miles away, splahtown, the Alamo, river walk, and many more attractions that you can do for a family trip. For the price of the stay it wasn't a bad choice. Also a pet friendly hotel.

We found moth balls underneath our beds which made the whole room stink. Also, we received a handicapped room without being informed that we were getting it. One of our beds had 2 flat sheets with no fitted sheet, so the sheets would not stay on the bed.

Great place to stay, especially if your on a budget. The beds are amazingly comfortable, and the rooms are big. However the bathrooms are kinda small, and the pillows are too flat. So if you do stay here be sure to bring your own pillow.

The room was dirty, there were cigarette burns in the comforters, there was an extension cord (hanging) with 8 items plugged into it (tv, refrigerator, lamps, hair dryer, etc.) The only other outlet in the room had only one working plug, so we had to unplug the alarm clock to charge our cell phones. Room service left 2 towels for a room with 2 double […] beds and 3 registered occupants. They did not replace the used coffee when they "restocked" the room.
