"Ozark Traveler's 2"
Room 222 had additional plug in receptacles over the room we we in earlier in the week. The only problem was that the bathroom door didn't latch. Motel Management over the years have added many pluses to a small room. This includes small refrigerator, safe, microwave, iron and ironing board. All thing considered it is worthy of 4 + stars for the price. […] The (free) Wi-Fi in the rooms was strong. Space was tight but room was clean and quiet. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Affordable, quiet (except for lady in next room). Felt safe! Easy to locate. Enjoyed Texas waffles and breakfast choices. Re-booked on return trip.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Disappointing & scary"
My 10-year old son & I drove from the Houston area, we got there around 9pm. Walking to our Non-smoking room, the hallway smelled like cigarettes. Upon arriving in the room, I automatically pull back the sheets on bed, there was dirt in the sheets of one bed. All the plugs for the lights, and clock were unplugged. When I went to plug in, I noticed on […] the floor between the bed & nightstand what looked like marijuana stems. I called the front desk and she came up , so I showed her what the issues were, she did apologize and offered to move us to first floor, which we gladly took. The room she put us in was cleaner, but then I noticed there were no privacy drapes to close, only the sheer ones. The solid were only for decoration. I had to make due with the clip style hangers they had in the room so that there was privacy. In the middle of the night, someone tried to open our door, and thankfully, the safety latch was there. When I tried to use our room key the next morning to get back in, they didn't work. Needless to say, I did not sleep well. I will NEVER go to a Super 8 again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Front desk was left unattended 95% of the time. Most of staff were not friendly. Cleaning personnel would enter your room despite do not disturb request. Room was 85 degrees when we arrived. Cleaning crew put several items back in place but did not clean them despite an obvious need for it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"near interstate 75"
The room was not smoke free which I requested, therefore; I was miserable! There were even ashes left on the toilet seat and soap left out which had been opened. In other words, it had not been cleaned thoroughly. The bed was comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"I was not impressed"
room is totally outdated, microwave didnt work, sound on tv didnt work, and the breakfast was just toast and a waffle iron. There is a carwash right next door and lots of construction so very loud during the day.Genuine Expedia guest review
"super 8 in mckinney tx"
The hotel staff and cleanliness was good, but there were no curtains that would close over the window. Therefore, lights from surrounding businesses shown through into the room. Plus it gave me an uneasy feeling that I could maybe be seen.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Car got broke in...no security...smelled stale"
The hotel smelled stale. My car got broke in...sitting in front under a light. they supposedly have some type of security...but there was none to be found. I had to check out because I could not keep my car (with a door that will not lock now and interior lights that won't turn off) in an unsecure parking lot as I am a musician and have a tone of equipment […] in my car....which was the reason for even being there! Telephone and TV remote didn't work. Hairdryer missing. Iron missing, though ironing board present. No do not disturb sign. Went back to room after breakfast and we were locked out of room even though we had not checked out.

Staff and management were great, very patient and responsive to my needs!! One of the two best hotels in mckinney in my opinion!! The other hotel is Days Inn!! Another Wyndham hotel!
"Great room & hospitality"
07/16/14 John G Topeka, Kansas
We stayed but one night at this motel, and very much enjoyed our stay because of the following factors: 1. A nice, clean, spacious room with quality appliances and good air conditioning. 2. An manager and staff who were helpful, friendly, and attentive to our needs 3. A very pleasant residential-like location 4. A shopping center close enough, but so as to be plagued with traffic 5. Excellent price for the value obtained The only drawback -- no fault of the manager -- was the difficulty in reaching the motel location due to the huge amount of construction and closing of many exits off of US 75 Highway.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in!!! Room was musty smelling, carpet was dirty, drawer fronts were completely missing from the furniture, bathroom door knob came off and could not open the door from the inside so my partner had to let me out of the bathroom, only two towel sets, pool was closed, breakfast was all starches with no protein. We were booked for 5 nights but left after only one night to another hotel. STAY AWAY!!!
"Worse than San Jorge motel in Acuna, Mexico"
07/13/14 Amy Y Texas City, Texas
The first room we were given had not been cleaned, someone had obviously been laying in the bed, and hair was all over the bathroom floor. In our second room, our door handle was broken and did not lock properly, so I slept with my gun. The room reeked of cigaret smoke, the desk was sticky, we did not feel comfortable even taking our shoes off. The bedspread was "holy' from cigaret burns. The staff was so rude, and NOT AMERICAN OWNED OR OPERATED!!! We tried to get a snack from the snack machine.. the snack stuck and wouldn't fall down. We put money in the coke machine and it took our money. The man at the front desk was very 'put out' because he had to open both machines to get our stuff. While standing there, I noticed the breakfast area was about 4 chairs, 2 tiny round tables & an open bottle of pancake syrup sitting out at 1 am!! I wouldn't be surprised if they rent some rooms by the hour. This is a bad neighborhood.. Worst motel experience EVER!!!!! Stay far away from this place!!!!

Could not go to sleep! A team of pre-teen and teenagers were staying around with me with no control whatsoever! Even with coaches and chaperones, these kids didn't get quiet until around 12:15 pm! Even after the front desk called the adults the kids were out of control. Running on the halls, yelling, opening and closing doors. What a night!

Our "non smoking room" smells like a old smoker that smokes 5 packs a day just got done in here. When I went to open the bathroom door the doorknob fell off, the TV buttons are broke, there was hair in my pillow & I've been here for 30 minutes. Let's see what happens tomorrow
"Worst place ever!!!"

We made reservations in advance to visit a very sick relative. Because of the nature of the visit, it was already a very hard long day for us. We booked a room with two beds because there were 4 adults. We get there and check in and they put us in a room with 1 bed. I immediately called the desk and he said that he was sorry it was all he had "couldnt we just make it work?" No we cant! Theres 4 adults!!! We asked for our money back and left. We then got to spend the next 2 hours looking for a hotel. Finally found one at 2am!!! Did I mention it was supposed to be non smoking and the smell was so strong it was making us sick? There were also a few "working girls" who entered as we were trying to leave. Worts experience ever!!!

"The first room we were assigned did not have a working..."
06/10/14 Evert G Mansfield, Texas
The first room we were assigned did not have a working light in the bathroom. The front desk lady switched us to another room because she said maintenance person was not there on weekends. The second room had a broken toilet seat on the inside and very dusty clothe hanging rack. The bed covers had stains. We will definitely not stay at Super 8 again. The window did not have curtain to block view at night.
