Stayed for three nights. Seemed clean, although each day we were there we never received maid service. Not even to straighten up, vacuum, give us fresh towels, or make the beds. Breakfast was simple, but fine, and definitely grateful for the wonderful rates.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The decor was very nice. The TV cable was not hooked up in our room, couldn't watch TV. Coffee pot was left on from previous guests and my husband burned his finger. Beds were too soft. I thought we had 2 queens, but they were much smaller, I would say 2 doubles. The coffee was weak and flavorless.

NOT A GREAT REVIEW HERE! The room had the dirty towels from the previous guest still in the room and there was only one clean towel left! There was no shampoo, no coffee in the rooms complimetary coffee tray, in fact the old coffee filter was still in the pot from the previous guest. we had to move the coffe pot to a new location as the cord would not […] reach the outlet. there was no coffee in the lounge as it was gone. we went for breakfast in the lounge at 7:30 and all the food was gone as well accept for a few dougnut holes..YEA. Good value for convenient access to Schweitzer Mountain. We were satisified to stay at a reasonable rate instead of hundreds a night at the Resort. Only 10 miles from the resort with Starbucks and all you need to enjoy your stay right across the street. Personnel were corteous and helpful, and they even have free secufre wireless internet. Room was satisfactory for the price, for a one-night stay. Very little toilet paper was in bathroom when we checked in and we ran out in the middle of the night. Bathtub bottom creeked loudly when standing in it to shower. I would look for a different place if staying in Sandpoint again.

Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights with my wife to go to silverwood. The hotel stuff including the housekeeping were very friendly and helpful. Rating this place with a 5 doesn't mean that it has the luxury of a 4 or 5 star hotel but compared to a 2 - 3 star hotel it was very decent, clean and comfortable. While the staff was very helpful and friendly the condition of the shower in our room kind of put a damper on the whole stay. The tile had black and pink mold covering almost all of the grout. It looked like no one had taken a scrub brush to it in years. The hotel and the rest of the room were decent but that shower was disgusting.

For the high cost of this room, it was not at all what we expected. In fact the first room we were given was not ready, no sheets on the bed, you could tell it had not been cleaned. Second room they gave us was ok, somewhat small, floor had not been thoroughly vacuumed. When my daughter went to climb into bed she found popcorn kernals in it. Hotel was very clean, no musty smell even though the hotel is older and out of date. Food in restaurant was a 7 out of 10. The hotel's staff were wonderful, helpful, but unable to ultimately help with internet/wi-fi problems which were so chronic that the only internet access available was after 9:00 am when most customers have checked out of the […] hotel. This put me 1/2 day late as the work I was required to do was not possible from the hotel room. Hot water was not consistent in the shower, and no anti-scald valve is installed to the shower, so the water is either boiling hot or too cold. Of the two phones in the room, only one was operable. Hotel staff quickly attempted to replace the phone, but the telephone cable to the room was bad. I cannot stay at this hotel again, as a business traveler. Read more

Our room's heater would not allow for a comfortable temperature. We either baked or froze; and the difference was a millimeter of adjustment on the heater. Needless to say we got about 2 hours of sleep assisted by constant highway noise. NEVER going to stay here again.

To all those who may have been confused at one time or another about the Lodge in SandPoint or the Guesthouse Lodge just down the road, blessing come in many different ways. This may happen on your stay so watch out! When we arrived at the right lodge the Guesthouse lodge we were very warmly greeted. Barley checked into our room, the hotel very garciously […] upgraded all five of us girls who were in town for a wedding from a 2 bed room to a 4 queen suite! I could hardly believe that they would do something so amazing for our bridle party. This may not always happen but i say its the little things that always go a long way. Bed was comfortable, the room was clean and decorated in wooden pine funiture. Breakfast included hot waffles, cereal, boiled eggs and an assortment of muffins and breads. Our room had a one queen size bed and was fine for two people but would be tight with more. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great deal for the money.
