Not a desirable location in that it was in a run down part of town. Understaffed and had communication issues with guest. Carpeting needs upgrade. Room was clean but not appealing. Odors were prevelant. You get what you pay for. Continental breakfast was practically non existant.

Hotel was very clean, my non-smoking room was clean & fresh. Would suggest that they have a paper in room telling you when the continental breakfast was. ONly from 8 to 9am, it could be longer. Owners are India Indians and some don't speak English. But they smile alot. Quiet surroundings on Riverdale Street in West Springfield, MA Price was very reasonable. […] Had a coffee/tea maker with tea bags and coffee bags with sugar & cream. We had a king-size bed suite - the room was HUGE - with sofas, chair, fridge, desk, king size bed and old tv. The carpet, etc. was old and worn but clean. Bed was comfy. Old TV sound was sporatic but didn't bother us. Whirlpool was just jets in tub but that was OK. Breakfast was poor - the juice machine was broken. Not much food to choose from. But […] that was OK. I booked the room because it was near the amusement park and inexpensive. Had I read the previous reviews I probably would have paid a bit more and booked someplace else. We got there early and I had called the night before to request an early noon time check in. We sat in the lobby for 25 minutes before a staff member was seen to check us in. Lobby […] had very old dirty sofas, the carpet runner in the entry way was frayed and unsafe. We were never told at check in that the ice machine was down in the kitchen or what time our comlimentary continental breakfast was served, nothing helpful. The room itself (King Suite) was advertised as having a hot tub when in fact it was just a tub with jets. Guess its what someones preception of a hot tub actually is or symantics of it. Clean, old, tube TV, boring. A plus was having the mini fridge in our room. Went downstairs to breakfast at 7:30 and we had cereal & coffee/juice. Everything else was gone, no one around to ask for any replacements either. Never really saw the front desk manned by a staff member, very unusual. I'll recommend you find somewhere else to stay. There are plenty of other places in the area of the Amusement Park that I will explore a different vendor next time. Read more

It was ok, I did change my room from smoking to non-smoking since that's what I thought I ordered with no problem. Air conditioning didn't work right it worked when it wanted to and if we put fan on had a musty smell. keys didn't work on outside of hotel to come in different way. We were glad we got back before they shut the front door. Times for breakfast […] weren't clear didn't know till sunday and we were late, not really anything left. My wife and I rented the room we did as it was advertised to have a Hot tube. Unfortunately the "Hot Tub" in the room was a small regular tub with nozzles that sprayed water all over the bathroom if you tried to activate them. Other then this and the general rundown feeling it was a reasonable hotel.

We stayed for mother's Day weekend and it was great. We missed breakfast every morning we were there though. There is no real food by 8 so I would suggest getting there early.

The hotel needs a good cleaning the rugs are in bad shape and the bedspeads were old and needed to be replaced. The service desk was friendly and helpfull. the room did need updating. I had a whole lot of trouble with the heating and air conditioning. It would get real hot, or then real cold, not a nice middle temperature. The staff was helpful and friendly. Gave me extra coffee when I needed it, and an iron and board. I would stay again.

we stayed at the motel for 1 night. when we arrived , the police were at the front door investigating a man trying to force his way into a womans room. we were told by police that the motel was safe. beds were uncomfortable. bugs in the bathroom. debri on the floor. some lights not working. wont stay here again

The room stunk upon arrival. Should have requested money back and went somewhere else. Mold issues in bathroom. Shower curtain was off the wall and hanging in the middle of shower. Personnel were nowhere to be found. Would not stay in another Super 8 if it was free.

Front desk seemed rude at check-in and was unhelpful. Not very focused on customer service. The free breakfast was crowded and ran out of items, went to front desk to ask for more milk, peanutbutter, ect. probably would not stay there again, even with the price.

My husband and I stayed at this location due to its location and the rates were very price friendly. The room itself was a pretty standard nonsmoking room with king size bed. Nothing fancy, but it served its purpose. We went down to have the continental breakfast on the first morning around 9:15am and everything had been picked through and not restocked. […] We had the choice of cereal but no milk, toast, a few waffles were left and a few english muffins. The juice machine was already empty. Due to this location you will have many restaurants near by. We found the staff at the front desk to be poorly trained. The phone in our room mentioned how to make a long distance call, but didn't mention what the rate was. We call the front desk to ask, and we were told that we can not call long distance from our phone. My husband told the employee that the phone indicates that we can and we would like to know how much it will cost. We were told to just make the call and we will be billed for it after the call is made..My husband was not taking that as the final answer and asked again but the guy working the front desk(who didn't speak English well) could not give us a straight answer. I never did use the phone in the room to make that one long distance call. Instead I used my cell phone because at least I knew what the charges were. Would I recommend the Super8 in Westspringfield Mass? As long as you are not expecting anything fancy or up scale like the Hilton, then Yes. This is one of those situations where you really get what you paid for... Or don't pay for. Read more
