Had issues getting hot tub turned on and then it was cold. Heated pool was cold. Only had one wash cloth and when asked for more they didn't have any so we were given a handful oh hand towels. When we asked for two extra blankets they only had one.

I was thinking of a different hotel when I booked this. The room was an inside room so there was no outside light. The beds were sagging and uncomfortable. The pool was cold. The staff WAS very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was adequate. I paid nearly $90 for 3 queen beds. Think money would have been better spent at Holiday Inn

We had a bridge view room, but there is another hotel directly across, so you can only see the very top of the bridge. I couldn't get the shower to work and the condition of the bathroom was very old and needed to be redone. There was a light on the balcony that was very bright and we could not turn it off to go to sleep, so the room was way too light […] for my taste to sleep. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were nice and there was cable tv, a coffee maker and a refrigerator. Our room was not ready so they upgraded us. Fantastic view of Mighty Mac right from our room window. Room was clean with updated furniture. Service was great and the breakfast was real nice. Love the up north ambiance. We will book with them again.

COMPLAINED THAT KIDS WERE IN AND OUT SLAMMING DOORS UNTIL 11:00PM AND BEGAN AGAIN AT 6:00AM. TUB WAS CLOGGED. STOOD IN THE WATER. PIPES MADE ALL KINDS OF NOISE

Clean,convenient and very friendly! We were upgrated to a suite when we arrived! We often stay at the super 8 when we visit Mackinaw City! There is a park located right accross from the hotel. Excellent stay...the only problem we had...is that the bed was incorrectly made!..Tne sheet and blanket tops were on the sides therby giving us short sheets...but we fixed that after the discovery and enjoyed the entire weekend ! Room was fantastic ! thanks again

My wife, mother in-law, pet dog and I have stayed in Mackinaw City for 3 out of 4 years for the Fall Color Bridge Race. I booked Super 8 because they run a good price for a room and the previous year our pet stayed there for no extra charge. This year I booked the same hotel for the fact that our pet could stay. When we arrived the staff informed me […] that they now charge $25.00 for a pet, wow I was really surprized! I paid it. The next morning at 5:30 am the toilet wouldn't flush, so I called the front desk to get someone to fix it. We had to get ready for the race, she told us that there was no one there to plunge the toilet but they could bring us a plunger. I told her that if she can't fix it that we would require another room. She proceded to plunge the toilet but turned to my wife and mother in-law and accused them of putting sanitary napkins down the toilet. My wife or mother in-law did not put sanitary napkins in the toilet! Strike two. We then returned from the race to find our door wide open, with all of our belongings inside. I immediately approached the front desk to report this, and they accussed us of leaving it open! Strike three. Next time - I will pay the extra money and stay somewhere else! Read more

It was a very clean, well maintained motel. Unfortunately the tv did not work and it was 10:30 at night before we got one which worked. Definitely an inconvenience after a long day of driving to not to have a tv.

with it being off season, the rates were much lower than in summer, so my wife and I were able to enjoy a three day get-a-way for half the cost, plus the crowds were down so we had a much better time at Mackinaw.

Hotel staff were mostly very friendly. Breakfast was okay, but really good that it was included with the room. Our room was right next to the pool, with windows overlooking the pool. For us that was a drawback - to others that might be a plus. The location is very convenient!

The best part of the stay was that we were given passes for local water parks. Two were free and the third was very expensive. I would opt. for the less expensive hotel again and use the wrist bands!

Pros: Price, good size pool, clean room. Cons: Double queen room was very small and cramped. Odd room layout with sink outside bathroom. Breakfast wasn't very good and the room was also very small given the number of rooms in this hotel.

Lost power two mornings in a row during the breakfast hours and the hotel didn't want to do anything about it, they didn't extend the breakfast hours or anything, when asked, they got an attitude about it and said that it was an "act of god" and thy couldn't do anything about it.

Great large room, nice carpeting, nice furniture, nice people at the desk, streaky/foggy windows, refrigerator sat on the floor, no comfortable sitting chairs, ( we brought in our beach chairs) Continental breakfast room was hot, to small, not enough tables, long lines .... we ended up eating out every morning!

Both beds in our room were terrible,we ALL went home w back aches!!! Had some in room coffee day one. The next day the dirty filter still in coffee maker and no new coffee. Breakfast room sooo small and never did get breakfast,ended up getting it out.

Water in shower was cold. We were put in a room right next to the pool and a stairwell; it was very loud. Also, our room did not have a window. The design and construction quality of this property is questionable. Poor bathroom ventilation. Loose headboards. Excessive heat in the very small breakfast area. Outside porch light never shuts off. Convenient location to parks and downtown.

Within short walking distance of downtown shops and eateries. The room was great size and had small refridge. We were on 3rd floor, but motel had elevator. We were at breakfast at 9:25 and most everything was already gone (hours were 6 or 7 to 10 a.m.) Room was very clean and carpet looked well kept.
