For the first time in many years we encountered a toilet that was plugged up. Also, the housekeeping personnel was disappointing, they forgot to do our room, so when we came back at night the room untouched.

We arrived late at night after traveling by air and vehicle all day. The front desk was wonderful, helpful and friendly, but the room cleanliness left much to be desired, due to a foul smell that seemed to come from the heat/air unit. We were pleasantly surprised to discover we had both a microwave and refrigerator in a corner which was very handy. […] We slept adequately, but breakfast was very busy and hard to get around due to the congregated groups in the eating area. It was fine for an overnight. The room was booked as a non-smoking room and upon arrival we were booked in a smoking room. The desk clerk moved us to a non-smoking but stated that more often than not when the room is booked by Hotels.com it books a smoking room. This is the 3rd time this has happened from booking through this site.

This is a good place to stay. there were some bad reviews and I almost didn't book here, but the room we had was just fine. I didn't expect anything fancy in a 2 star hotel. The people at the desk were very nice.

Overall a great place just to stop and sleep. Friendly staff, great breakfast and clean rooms. Air conditioner was not working the best but it kept the room ok. Good Rates. Wi-Fi was super slow... Overall I would say a 4

The hotel was pretty basic, but so was the price, so no negative there. A girl named Amanda who was working the front desk was amazing as far as knowledge,friendliness,helpfulness.........etc.........Something you'd expect in a very high end hotel. They are very lucky to have her. That in itself is a reason to stay there agin when in that area.

The room was dirty. The chair was stained. We were placed in a smoking room after specifically requesting non. Staff was difficult. Manager was rude and raised his voice to me. Bed spread was ripped. Need I say more?

The hotel staff was friendly, although breakfast items were gone at 0800, and not restocked...many guest, my family included went to a near by resturant for breakfast Sat. Also as I appreciate that my pets were welcome we were put in a smoking room, we are not smokers and the smell was unbearable, had I known the policy was to put pets into smoking […] rooms I would not have booked this hotel, and I will choose another nearby hotel in the future. We traveled over 5 hours to get to the Super 8 in Waterloo after a football awards night. So we arrived about midnight. To our surprise we were greeted with such kindness from a wonderful lady who told us everything we needed for that night. The next morning we had to be up early and get on the road. She was there with a smile on her face getting breakfast […] ready for the lodgers. She worked a double shift and still had a smile on her face and greeted us with the same kindness. I hope super 8 knows, people like that are hard to come by and rewards her for a great job. We will stay again with Super 8. Read more

We were pleased with our room. Everything was clean and comfortable. Our friends had car trouble and an auto service was conveniently located nearby. The breakfast served was more than adequate. One problem was late at night; loud people either right outside or in the hallway. Woke us up. :(

My first impression was the lobby was smokey and stagnant smelling. We had a no smoking request for a room. Asthma issues. 1.First room-bathroom sink didn't drain. 2. Extra pillows requested and the one case had left-over mascara stains. 3. Reassigned to Second room upstairs-bathtub didn't drain. Had to stand in daughters shower water to shower. 4.We […] had smokers across the hall and also next door on the right . 5.They also had a barking dog but it quited down as long as no one was in the hall. I was told we had the last non smoking room and the second floor was smoking. 6. The hallway was also smokey. 7.MOST SERIOUS-at 5 am we were woke up to knocking on door. No one in sight of peep hole. A very drunk male had just told front desk person at 5 am he was there to pick up his aunt and cousin for church. She gave him our room number and he was at our door. No call for approval or announcement from desk. He woke up the two children in room and even the drunk thought it was hilarious he got in so easy. Family or not-this is not acceptable. Reported this to desk also and the desk person said she would leave a note. 8. Bedspreads had dark ringed spots on underside. Had housekeeping remove them from the room. We were offered a suite at this point however I told desk I had no comfort level to stay. Moved to a different hotel. The price was very reasonable and the room was spacious. The heater was noisy and drafty. The stuffed chair was stained. They were remodling the lobby, so things were dusty and the continental breakfast we were expecting was not provided. Still, we would stay there again--- after the remodling!

As stated above the sheets were dirty. Ya know how clean sheets are crisp and smooth? Well these you could feel the dirt and grime within the fabric. They would not give me a first floor room for handicap.

Our experience at this hotel was very good. Check in was a breeze and took less than 2 minutes. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay right off the highway for a very reasonable price. There were also a lot of surrounding food options that we liked.

The hotel was ok. If you're not found of smoke smell, spend an extra $20 and book somewhere else because the halls on room levels had a strong odor of smoke. Room was average and beds were fine.
