This hotel was the most disgraceful place I have ever stayed in. I would not even let my pets stay there. It bothers me that Hotels.com would even list it as a possible place to stay. As they say "You get what you pay for".Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This was the second nastiest most filthiest hotel I ever stepped foot in. the condition of the hotel was horrible. The room wall were filthy, tubs were black and disgusting. I had hair all over my bed. . .very nasty place! Hallway was dangerous the floors was missing carpet and nails were all over the place ugh! Poor housekeeping and management!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
When we booked - no where did it say that there is a truck stop right behind the hotel! There were stains on the carpet I cannot identify and there were dirty windows (food splatter) that were not cleaned the whole 3 days we stayed. We checked in and was told that my payment from Hotels.com was denied so I had to give my credit card again - just to […] find out when i got home I was double billed. They could not care less that I have a confirmation from Hotels.com. 4 phones call later to a manager that did not return the calls and a treat to file a case with my credit card company did i finally get a call back just to be told to call Hotels.com and have them call the hotel with their account number. I did finally get me refund - but we were very disappointed in the whole experience. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best for a crash site, not a vacation."
The room was MOSTLY clean, and the staff people we met were fairly nice, but the hotel itself was filthy, and sits right next door to a semi overnight parking area, So if you just want a place right off the highway to crash, and you feel confident in your abilities to protect yourself, the price is right. However, if you are looking to go have a fun […] time in Memphis, I would recommend you spend the extra $25 - $30 bucks and get yourself a room in town. There are plenty of hotels that will take you to Beale Street, etc., or you can take the trolley. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

I booked this for my family to stay in their travel to visit , I normally stay in Westin or Boutique hotels but none were available in the area. This one at the time had 4 of 5 stars in customer rating so while I did not expect luxury I expected it to be decent and clean. My sister called me crying begging me to find them somewhere else, the room had […] foul odor, stains on bedding, peeling paint and hairs all over the bathroom. I was very upset as I booked based on customer reviews and had to call a find other options while I was 500 miles away and at work. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"A cheap and very convenient hostel"
I spent two nights in this hostel. The price is very cheap and I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was clean, confortable, there is wifi access, TV. The area was safe. The location was convenient, we just had to cross the bridge to go to downtown Memphis. The only bad thing was a bad smell in the corridor when we arrived, but in the room, it was […] fine. So I really recommand this hostel if you want to visit Memphis and save money at the same time. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

other than a bit of rust and dirt in corners of the bathroom this room was very comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"close to interstate"
This hotel is conveniently located right off the interstate and is relatively quiet. Unfortunately, the hotel is disgusting. There is no elevator and the carpets are badly stained. Our bed was comfortable and clean, but it seems as though that was about the only thing clean. This hotel is very old, dirty, and worn. Also, no cribs. Will not be retur […] ning. I was very satisfied during my stay in this hotel. it was clean and well maintained. Hotel staff are very well behaved and co-operative. I would like to stay in this hotel any time I visit this place.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I am fairly certain that there were crackheads and/or prostitutes using this hotel. Also, there were people in the parking lot begging for money.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
What can I say, it's a Super 8. Pretty dirty and the front clerk sounded straight from the ghetto. BUT it was right off the freeway and it was cheap, all I needed was a bed to sleep in and that's really all it was. Breakfast consisted of cereal and juice. The room was extremely hot when I got in but the AC worked fine once I turned it on.Genuine Expedia guest review
"The WORST motel experience ever"
First of all, the motel is in Arkansas and not in the state of Tennessee. I looked for a motel in the downtown of Memphis and this hotel showed up. If I had known it is located so far away from the city, and in a different state, I would not have booked it!!! The motel looks nothing like the pictures online. It is located between a gas station and a […] truck stop across the street from a busy highway. Several of the windows in the front of it were blown out and covered with plywood. The lobby entrance and the "breakfast" area look like a the room of a fraternity housing. It has no elevator and the carpets in the corridor are filthy. I would not recommend this motel not even for my enemies!!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"West Memphis Super 8 - So close to downtown!"
I needed to be in downtown Memphis at the convention center early in the morning. This hotel was only 7 minutes away. It's not a terrific hotel, but it's cheap and convenient.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Super 8 of West Memphis -- Not recommended"
This place was cheap and close to the highway, but if I had to do it again, I'd definitely pay a little more to stay somewhere else. While I assume/hope, the sheets and towels had been washed before our visit, they were definitely stained. Carpet in the staircase and hallway leading to our second floor room was stained. There was a window boarded up […] in the front of the hotel, which was disconcerting. Multiple cigarette burns along the outside of the tub. Tub faucet was in disrepair. When the shower was on, water would shoot at a 90-degree angle out of a random hole next to the tub faucet in addition to the shower head. We stayed in this motel as part of a road trip where we stayed at several similarly-priced places. We were just looking for a clean, safe place to sleep and were happy with every place we stayed except this one. On the positive side, once another guest prompted the desk clerk to restock the juices, milk and waffle batter, the complimentary breakfast wasn't bad, Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Walked in-no one at the desk. We had 2 rooms only given 1. Had to ask again for second room. Rooms on second floor, no problem-non-smoking on second floor. But first you have to walk thru all the smell of smoke to get to the stairs. Room window was a piece of wood-guess window got broken and not fixed. Furniture very old and dirty looking. Bath towels […] were a mix of different colors. Not worth the price-it gives Super 8 a bad name-No Way 8 Again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
My wife drove by the hotel and immediately called me to cancel our reservations. "What A Contrast"
When we drove up, I thought, what have I done! Outside appearance of hotel appears very scarey and when you walk into the lobby the fruit flies are everywhere. The "breakfast" room is not as large or nice as it appears in picture provided on website. The suprise is the room. Carpet in lobby, hallways very dirty looking and hotel smells of cigarette […] smoke. But the room was very clean - we checked mattress, sheets, shower and it was spotless. Had trouble with my sheet as it was not a fitted (fitted was on the other bed) and the pillows sucked. Bring your own pillows!!! But again, our room was very clean. For the money its great. "Horrible Hotel from Hell"
I would give this hotel a 1 out of five. It was terrible. The roof was covered with a blue tarp. Several windows were blown out and covered with plywood. The room they put us in had a piece of cardboard over the window. The housekeeper moved us to another room. The light was hanging down and the door didn't lock. It was terrible. My husband had called […] two days prior to our visit to make sure everything was ok at the hotel because they had so much flooding in Memphis. They assurred him everything was fine. This was the worst hotel we ever stayed in. We traveled for two weeks and ended up coming back through Memphis. The hotel looked exactly the same, blue tarp and all. This was a pretty average motel, not too clean not too dirty. It's at a big truck stop, which might be annoying for some, but didn't bother me. While West Memphis is a crappy little town, the nicest part about this place is that it was right off I-40 and you can cross the Mississippi and be in downtown real Memphis in 15 minutes or less.Genuine Expedia guest review
"You get what you pay for."
It's a short hop across the river to all the attractions, but still meets the quality I have come to expect from the city. Which isn't much. Our room seemed to have a small swarm of fruit flies by the sink/vanity that became evident the next morning. When we first checked in, for some reason the bed was scooted up against the wall, and we had to center […] it back up to the headboard so I could store my bags against it. The bathroom doorknob was broken on the bathroom side as well, like the front part of the knob had been lopped off. Other than that, the shower was good & strong, and the rest of the room suited our purpose for the short stay. All in all, it wasn't great, but we've stayed in worse places. As I said, you get what you pay for. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
the receptionist didn't know how to great a guest. You can not help a guest while holding a personal conversation. The hotel room was comfortable and clean. They couldn't located the iron that they had given to another guest, but it seemed as if no one wanted to look for it. So we had to go purchase our own.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Well, the hotel is close to Memphis so if you need to go downtown like I did for graduation, then it works for that. If you simply want a good night's sleep and a place to shower, then it works for that. But if you're expecting comfort and fine dining...fugetaboutit. The place is kind of an eyesore and looks unkempt in certain areas. I'd probably rate […] it as a 1.5-2 star hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"I thought they were kidding!"
I'd read some of the earlier reviews, and assumed the late night calls from the front desk was an accident --- but like clockwork, they called up to my room at 1AM to "make sure I was there". I explained to the lady that I'd signed the paperwork and gave her a credit card and went to my room hours ago --- where would I be? And given I'd paid for the […] room, what difference did it make if I was there or not? When I asked why they would call a guest a 1AM in the morning was told "that's what they've got to do", which seemed to her a perfectly acceptable explanation. Something funny going on at this hotel -- would suggest MGT check it out....this hotel is in the middle of a large multi-station truck stop... Besides that, the place was a wreck. Storm damage from two months ago still leaves the front windows boarded, the place is pretty grungy, and the staff uninterested. The "free continental breakfast" consisted of a juice machine, coffee, and some donuts, plus a wafflemaker that couldn't seem to keep up with a small crowd. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Super 8 West Memphis Arkansas - Not so Super"
When we pulled up outside the hotel, I thought it was shut down. Plywood on scattered windows throughout and tarp on the roof. Needless to say, the exterior was scary. Didn't really want to stay but was pressed for time. The staff was friendly and allowed me to view the room before checking in. It smelled musty/smoky, was small, had out of date decor, […] view of the truck stop parking but fairly clean. We chose this location because it was only 5 miles to downtown Memphis and less expensive than a hotel downtown. In the end, we shoud have paid the additional money for a downtown hotel because the cab fare one way into Memphis was $35. Rip-off!! Again, staff was friendly and helpful but the place is a DUMP! Can't be beat for the price. More convenient to most places in Memphis than downtown hotels, being between I-40 and I-55.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
if your looking for a truck stop then this is the place for you. however for me it wasn't. It was very loud the whole night. the room was dirty incl. the bathroom. Also sheets had not been changed. "Red Roof Inn - West Memphis, TN"
The phrase that "you get what you pay for" sometimes is definitely very relevant. I paid a low rate and that hotel was on right on track to this phrase. Hotel is pretty old small building w/only stairwell access to rooms (No elevator). It included only a couple of room amenities and a continental breakfast. It does not have a swimming pool. Breakfast […] only served until 9:00 a.m. It did have laundry facilities. The maid laundry area is 2 doors away from the front desk and someone owns parrots that works there. Could hear and see them through doorway upon travel to room upstairs. All the building's carpets are old and need replacing. My rooms dead bolt door jamb was difficult to work, needs adjusting, and the floor in front of the vanity sink area was buckled (upstairs room). Beds, bathroom , TV, and A/C-heat was acceptable for the price. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"hotel or truck stop?"
this hotel is in the middle of a HUGE truck stop. semis comming and going at all hours. rooms could've been much cleaner. kind of run-down in general. considering i only paid a small amount for the room, i guess i shouldn't complain too much, wouldn't stay there again, though.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Two disappointed Brits."
We have now visited America on four separate occasions, staying in various hotels, and this is my first adverse report. We are not difficult to please, it takes a lot for us to complain but we were extremely disappointed overall with this Super 8. On arrival I asked for a quiet room having spent 20 hours travelling. Our "quiet" room overlooked a truck […] stop with trucks coming and going at all hours day and night. They would park only feet from our window with the refrigeration motors running. We spent four nights and only had one change of towels. We had only one sachet of coffee to last the 4 days. The room was not clean and was only vacuumed once during our stay. The breakfast orange juice was a diluted substitute with little taste. On the first morning only one cereal was available. It was overall extremely basic. We certainly could not recommend this hotel although in the past we have been satisfied with all other Super 8 in which we have stayed. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Bring your ear plugs!"
This hotel is right beside the freeway, a huge truck stop and a train track. It is very noisy! Besides all of that, the window in our "upgraded" room didn't close properly (there was a crack all along the edge of the window) so all of the noise (and dust) comes straight into the room. One night while I was trying to sleep I counted 3 trains going through […] in less than 2 hours, each sounding its whistle. The furniture and TV in this "upgraded" room were very old and worn. On the good side, the carpet and bed were good and clean. There were only sheets and a bedspread (with cigarette burns in a no smoking room) on the bed. It would have been nice to have a light blanket as well. The walls and window sills were filthy! We actually washed around the light switches that we knew we would be touching because it all looked so unsanitary. We wiped the window sill with a damp Kleenex and it came away black. The walls really need to be painted. Perhaps if this room had a good scrubbing and painting and new double paned windows to enhance sound proofing, I might stay there again. Otherwise, I would not recommend this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

This hotel is not in a great location.Genuine Expedia guest review
If you like hotels with a muggy sensation and the smell of mildew that will permeate your suitcase and all of its' contents for days after, then this hotel is a must! Even better, when the light bulb in our bathroom burnt out, I was told I could come and pick up a bulb and replace it myself - shame on me for assuming I was a guest on vacation, when […] really I was working for free! And to top it all off, I had blood on my sheets that did not belong to me. I would have complained but it was the kind of hotel I was glad to leave without having any belongings stolen or mysterious charges show up on my credit card. I was hoping the reviews I read on trip advisor and hotels.com were sensational and unrealistic, THEY WERE NOT!!!! Thankfully I was out of the room 18 of 24hrs in a day and by the time I returned to lay down for the night, I was too exhausted to make a fuss over the blood on my sheet - the explanation or attempt to rectify it would likely have been a lot worse than covering the sheetwith the extra pillow :( Poorly maintained rooms and property, TV had no sound, and the staff were beyond indifferent. The rate was cheap - but not enough to make up for the discomfort of the stay. But if you're like me, and in reading all the previous comments you still hold out hope thinking people are overly sensational and that it can't be that bad - all I can say is, I look forward to reading your review of regret.
