The staff were very helpful and knew the area well, The rooms were clean and comfy and what we expected for the price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Because the room was not well maintained I left two days early.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"You get What you pay for"
This is just a basic, simple hotel. No frills. A place to sleep, shower and go to the bathroom. If your expecting more, you will be disappointed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very Dirty Hotel"
This hotel was nothing special at all. It is actually one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. I have stayed in many Super 8 Hotels, but this one was very dirty.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Shame on Super 8 for allowing this dive to exist!"
I always have enjoyed the Super 8 brand. However this dump did the name no good at all. The appearance of the place was very poor. The beds were just terrible. It was like sleeping on a matress some one had pulled out of a dumpster. What they had the nerve to call breakfast, was nothing more than some some generic pastries of lower quality than Little […] Debbie treats. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!! However don;t think it is the same at all Super 8 branches because later in my two week trip I stayed at a stellar Super 8. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good place to relax"
The room was very roomy and the hotel, for the most part, quiet.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Average at best"
It was just me and I was out most of the time, however, I would not bring my family to this hotel. The linens were old, the towels were old and some stained. OK for business but not for a family outing. On a positive note, the room had a microwave and a fridge.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Super 8 is owned by different owners, the Super 8 in Elkhart, Indiana would not work with me, after I or them made a mistake on the phone about dates of my stay. They would not compromise with me and made me pay again for two nights that I had already had paid for. I went to another and stay there. It put a hardship on by expenses.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"My son was broke."
My son was traveling on I 80 with no money to spare. I reserved a room for him with my credit card. But then he had to pay a 50.00 deposit. no dinner for him that night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This is a convenient location when enjoying a weekend of Football at Notre Dame. The location is 1/2 mile from the exit and only 20 miles from the stadium. Numerous restaurants are in the area depending on your appetite. This IS NOT my choice for a travel destination except as a place to sleep. I will check out similar establishments in 2 years when […] Navy , hopefully will kick That Irish Lephrecan's butt . Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
This motel had some problems. The rooms were small yet it was clean. We had to let the management know that the microwave was broken so we would not be held responsible for it being broken. If we needed anything it felt like we were bothering her and when we did get help it seems like it took forever.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good hotel and value for the weary traveler"
We were pleasantly surprised by the motel. Very nice management, conveniently located off the exit and a comfortable clean room treated us after a long day of travel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
They ran out of coffee one day, milk the next day. TV remote controls did not work. key cards had to be reprogrammed daily.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Kind of what we expected..."
Service was very good and breakfast was better than expected. Room was muggy and in need of repairs. Kind of what we expected for the first ND football weekend of the season. All in all, it was okay...close to South Bend and not too expensive...not sure we'd recommend it though.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very good for the price."

I stayed here for business purposes, and the bed was very comfortable, the room A/C certainly kept it cool. :) The wifi was strong. It was clean enough for me.. though there was a light that didn't work, and a stain on the comforter.. (which I tossed on the floor anyway). There was a Micro/fridge which I really appreciated. Large flat screen TV and a good channel line up. The check in was smooth and the desk clerk was very personable and pleasant. I skipped breakfast, and chose to go to Cracker Barrel instead. I have stayed at hotels for the double the price and received the same service.
"A cheaper alternative to Shipshewana."
07/15/14 David W Milwaukee, Wisconsin
I wanted to spend 4 days in Shipshewana (Amish country--big flea market and auction), but discovered very quickly that the price difference was SIGNIFICANT--it was $40 more per night MORE at Shipshewana. So, being the frugal person that I am, I chose Elkhart over Shipshewana, and I traveled the 24 or so miles back and forth each day, enjoying the country scenery as I rode along. The downside was that the one way trip took about 35-40 minutes, and the gas consumed. However, I consider it still a far better deal at $40 a night cheaper--which comes out to $160 difference. The closer you get to Shipshewana, the more caution you must have in spotting and passing the horse drawn buggies of the Amish. The hotel was fairly quiet. I was at the end of the hall near the exit, and I heard the exit door and room doors slam a few times, but it didn't bother me too much. The breakfast was pretty much the usual for a Super 8--not bad. I must tell you, though, that if they have round looking things in the refrig that look like sugar cookies--they aren't. I spied them and thought they looked pretty good, and thought a refrigerated sugar cookie wood be a nice dessert.........but it turned out they were perfectly formed round fried scrambled eggs--you are supposed to put them in the microwave to heat them up. Once I figured it out, it was pretty tasty. My only problem was that during my first night the floor lamp light went out. I discovered that the top portion of the wall socket was dead; the bottom portion, which had the refrig plugged into it worked ok. I told the front desk about it; it was put on the list of things for the fix it guy to fix. I just happened to have an extension cord with me (I travel with it and a small clip on lamp which I sometimes need for extra light while using my lap top computer), and plugged in the floor lamp using a good socket from the other side of the room. I found the internet connections (WiFi) to kind of fade out--I would have to reconnect sometimes. However, over all, I found it to be a fairly good hotel,
"OK for 1 night"

So I stayed here on my way home from Chicago. It was late at night and some of the other hotels were already booked. It was clean, bed comfortable and hot water showers. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel even though it was included. There is a local diner next door that has great food and reasonable prices.

The Toilet wouldn't flush, some of the sheets had holes, the yogurt at the breakfast was warm and the water was so soft it made the tub slick. Never staying here again. It is really cheap for good reason, and not worth the price at that. You are better off staying anywhere else.

Dumpy loud doors slamming all hours of night type place. Essentially clean and mostly comfortable. Bath floor in poor condition, tiles missing
"Stayed in a double queen room. Beds were comfortable, rooms..."

Stayed in a double queen room. Beds were comfortable, rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was as expected from a Super 8, good enough. Pleasant experience for a night stay during road trip.
"Great place at great price"
06/17/14 Phil S Erie, Pennsylvania
This hotel is a great place to rest up while on a long trip. It's just off the interstate. The room was comfortable and everything worked. The complimentary breakfast offered several healthy options. All good!
06/10/14 Linda C Elkhart
The people are very polite and professional, they are working very hard to update and improve the hotel as it is an older one. The rooms are clean and if you need directions or have questions concerning nearby eateries they are quite helpful. We haul RVs and need a larger parking area, that is not a problem here as it is with some places. Will stay again for sure.

Most everything you would want in a room. I would recommend this location to anyone traveling in this area
"Average for a Super 8"
06/06/14 Ernie K Salt Lake City, Utah
Found the hotel to be somewhat needing repair, and rooms cramped, with sound evident from other rooms. Bed not very comfortable. Even for a Super 8, not especially good and a bit overpriced. It is close to highway and restaurants.
