I have a bad back and leg and requested a room on first floor and instead was given room on third floor, room was dirty and cigarete burns on carpet and beds, beds were like sleeping on concrete, and when requested extra pillows were told none were available. people were drinking and running around yelling till 4am and could not get any sleep because […] of the party going on all night. Opening the door to the room for the first time, we walked into a 90 degree room filled with paint fumes. It was supposed to be a "smoke free" room and even though all we smelled was paint, our pillows smelled like smoke when we unpacked at home. It was ok, but not sure I would stay there again.

We had two rooms; one facing east and one west. On the surface, the hotel looked OK, but after spending three nights, we can't recommend it. The east facing room had stains on the western wall that you could only see in the bright sunlight. There had to be at least 8 separate stains, at waist level, on a cream colored wall. Let your imagination wander […] and you'll understand. During the stay, a storm blew in. The west facing room's windows seemed to want to blow into the room. They rattled and shook violently and made sleep impossible. These are hidden flaws that the casual traveler will not see, but I'm sure there are more secure feeling hotels in Evansville. Read more

I do have just one comment to pass along ~ Amazingly, a severe thunderstorm passed through the area at approx. 6 AM ~ complete with tornado sirens! The bed sheets and the towels looked old and yellowed. Buy new sheets and towels. The bath towels are not big enough. On 2 days my key stopped working. On one day room service did not come until 5:30 pm.

We picked this hotel because it was one of the best deals and we love the waffles for breakfast. To our surprise it was one of the best Super 8 stays we have ever had. Our room was extremely quiet. The receptionist was very rude and not friendly, so this started our stay off on the wrong foot immediately. The room was adequate for space, but was not very clean,especially the bathroom. If you are looking for an up-scale hotel at a cheap price ... keep looking. If you are looking for a place to rest your head after a day of traveling/activities at an OK price, you've found your place. Hotel was easy to find and check in/out was a breeze. A great deal! I was surprised at the quality of the hotel. I normally would not stay at a Super 8 but it was a great bargain and thought we would give it a try. Very comfortable beds and the room was clean. No funny smells like some hotels. I will stay there again while in Evansville.

When we checked in and asked about the restaurants nearby the hostess said they were awful, we figured they couldn't be all bad there were plenty of cars in the parking lot so we braved the one closest to the hotel. It was nice, the food was good and decent prices. Plenty of TV's and video games to keep the kids happy. We rented 3 rooms, my brothers […] was a smoking room and he said it was pretty awful but was happy to be in it and smoking the other 2 rooms weren't too bad, cheap towels and could of been cleaner. I found old newspapers under the bed and a used shower cap in the bathroom. I did mention it and they were very apologetic and said they'd take care of it. This was the worst hotel I have ever been in. I stayed here because it was economical for me and my family. I don't have a problem with things not being updated, I do have a problem with filth! The rooms were horrible. The boxsprings to the mattresses were extremely stained with what looked like blood. I had 3 rooms in this hotel and all the boxsprings […] looked the same. The hotel was "way" more than what I expected for the price. The room was clean and comfortable, without the smoke smell for a non-smoking room as I've had before. The hotel was full when we arrived but did not hear anything from other guests. The staff was very helpfull and kind. It's very conveniently located to restaurants and shops and activities […] for the whole family (movies, miniature golf). The hot breakfast was very nice as well, the staff were very attentive in keeping it stocked during the breakfast hours. We had no problems with parking. I don't spend my vacation in a hotel, so what I consider important is a comfortable bed, good air conditioner, cleanliness, especially in the bathroom, a convenient location, relatively quiet, and decent price. This Super-8 scored as follows: The beds were nice, a bit soft, plenty of pillows, and the bonus of fitted sheets. (Does anyone like flat sheets […] coming untucked and tangling with their feet in their sleep?) The AC was powerful and quiet. Cleanliness could have been better, with several hairs clinging to sheets and bathtub, but I've seen worse in other budget hotels and even some big name chains. The location is fine, assuming you are travelling by motor vehicle. The area is mostly shopping centers, chain restaurants, etc. There is an arcade next door and a movie theater across the street which would, for good or bad, interest any children in your party. The interstate into downtown Evansville is not far, driving is easy, and there is an excellent Greek restaurant about a mile away (Acropolis). In our stay, we had no noise issues with a room on the back side of the hotel close to what may have been a warehouse and well away from busy streets. Finally, the price was about what you'd expect for a Super 8, not as cheap as something farther out of town, but worth it for what we experienced. For those who care, the included breakfast was pretty standard: mini danishes, bread, cereal, milk, juice, coffee, self-serve waffle maker and mix, hardboiled eggs, and about a half dozen small tables in the hotel lobby. The only complaints I had of this hotel is that the bathroom had a very low light source and I could not tell it it was clean enough or not. The first night there was spot on the stool that was removed when I wiped it...so clearly it had not been cleaned.

Stayed here several nights on way thru area. Check in was efficient. Room was clean. Noticed a few stains on box springs, could have easily been done by someone spilling their coffee. Not that bad. Was tired of waffles after a couple days. One complaint would be that coffee was not hot. Even when a fresh pot was brewed it was hot, but not piping hot as you'd expect for coffee. We were late getting back to motel and theater parking lot was overflowing and we were lucky to find one remaining spot in the hotel lot.
