OK. Large room, clean, decent place to stay for one night. Older, but fairly well maintained. Only complaint was that when we turned on the air conditioner, it spewed out chunks of greasy dust clods. And not all at once, but over the entire time (about an hour) we had it on. Kind of gross, but other than that the place was very clean.

The room was nice an clean. Staff was helpful. Good location . Very close to shopping an Busch Gardens. This was our 2nd. Stay an we would recommend it to anyone wanting to be close to everything an not pay a huge sum of money. Cab fare to Busch Gardens is less than $10.00.

In context of Motel, Rodeway was very well kept, clean and spacious. it was one of the closer to Busch Garden and Williamsburg. There were restaurant and convenient store very near by. Room had lots of room to move around, refridg, microwave oven. It is an old structure but it shows good maintenance. My wife and I and our 18 year old and 12 year old stayed at this hotel for 2 nights on our way to the Outer Banks, and then two more nights on our way back. It made our overall drive time more manageable and allowed us to spend a day at Colonial Williamsburg and another at the amusement parks sandwiched on either side of the Outer Banks trip. We were […] very pleased with our choice. The hotel is an older, mom and pop, single level hotel, so it doesn't have the "wow" factor of a newer hotel, but it had everything we needed: two queen beds in a clean room, cable tv, a fridge, coffee maker and an included continental breakfast all at a very economical price. It also had an outdoor pool. We did not use it but we saw other guests enjoying it in the evening when we returned from our outings, but we were simply too tired to use it. The hotel is only several minutes away from Colonial Williamsburg, slightly longer to Busch Gardens or Water Country USA water park, and just a couple minutes from interstate access. Great location. We would stay here again if visiting Williamsburg. Read more

Don't expect anything great. It was clean, but dated. The airconditioner was troublesome and kept us overly warm most of the night. The breakfast was prewrapped muffins and pastries. The room served its purpose. It was close to Busch Gardens where we spent most of our time.

My husband and I loved that the rooms were so clean and the paint on the bathroom wall makes it look more comforting and quaint..it is an old place but the rooms were clean and the beds comfy

Although we lost power due to a transformer exploding and had to be evacuated, the owner's really rose to the occasion and provided top-notch hospitality to the guests, such as myself, who were inconvenienced.

First, for the good...the beds slept comfortably, ample parking, interstate access in three minutes, a/c heating unit worked well. For the not great....the lights in the vanity area and two electrical outlets did not work. One can tell it had been a fire in or near the room at one point because it was black soot on the mirror. I thought it did not work […] for that reason. However, on my last day there I saw a circuit breaker box located inside the closet. Someone had apparently switched off the breaker that accesses the vanity area and two outlets. Upon entry of the room on our first day there was debris around the door. It was windy most of the week so I guess it got in the room when housekeeping was leaving out. If you like it quiet this place might pose somewhat of a problem. There is a train track in the back of the facility. A train can be heard going by two to three times a day from anywhere between two to five minutes. There is a propane business beside ththis place. You can hear all the sounds of of this business all day long through the a/c heating unit. You can hear the trucks, employees talking, and you can also hear birds tweeting in the early morning hours. Management locked me out of my room because my family member and I had loaded some of our luggage in the early morning hours. We then left and when I returned I was locked out. They assumed I had checked out even though there was still luggage and other personal belongings in the room and even though checkout time is 11:00 a.m. I returned to the room at 7:30 a.m. Lastly, the pool area needs painting.
