Staff was helpful. Room was big, modern and clean. We stayed at the room with a balcony and a kitchen which is awesome. Plenty of nearby restaurant, too. Washer and dryer facility near the gym. Breakfast was excellent! Perfect location if you want to stay in downtown. Walk to nearby Aquabus to Granville island. Underground parking with reasonable rate. Will come back again for sure.

Stayed there for 3 days for vacation. Great location. Walking distance to the Aquabus to go to Granville. Easy access to Hop on hop off buses and other city buses and trams. Room is very small, as is expected in a downtown.Clean with all the standard amenities. Hot breakfast was excellent. parking is 18 dollars per day. They have a resturant in house which is pretty decent.

perfect place to stay before an early flight out the next day. We wanted to stay someplace downtown. We were easy walking to Yale Place shops and restaurants, and a quick 15 min drive to the airport the next morning.

Hotel was clean. Close to restaurants and we like to walk so it wasn't a problem to get to places. Transportation is good in this city. Great sandwich/bakery a few doors down (Brecka). Hotel staff was very kind and helpful. Breakfast buffet was very good and such a wide selection. Only downfall was the parking garage spaces are so close and someone decided to key our car. RUDE! We had a nice time and highly recommend this hotel!

So Nice, Big Room, Kitchen, Clean, friendly Staff. This was well worth the money and a great location to the Granville Island ferry. Plenty of easy walking down Granville St. too close to the shopping, restaurants, and more.

Fabulous location! Second stay here and will return. You don't need a car to enjoy the city! Walk to water and dine or take 5 minute water taxi to Granville Island. Taxi to Gastown or walk to Yorktown for nice Italian dinner at Lupo's! This hotel is stellar and employees just delightful people!

Everything from check in to check out was great. Front desk staff was professional and the breakfast was above average for a free breakfast. Room and bath was spotless, looked like we were the first ones to stay in the room.

Excellent location and close to all the downtown activities. We were able to park the car and walk everywhere. Parking was $19 a day, but that is comparable to most U.S. Metro city hotels. Very clean with a friendly staff and reasonable price. We plan on staying here again when we return in the spring.

It was a surprising hotel experience. Besides normal hotel necessity, it has electric stove, cooking utensils and plates and everything you need for light cooking. A family full size Samsung refrigerator. Although we did not try cooking, but we did enjoy the convenience of everything in the room and had a good drink with snacks. If you stay longer, you can drop the shopping list, and they will deliver the fresh goods to your room :)) isn't it nice?! It is walking distance to many establishment. Love it, and will come back with family again and again.

Overall, this is a great hotel in a good location. A few blocks away from Robson and easy to get to. The staff is friendly and helpful and our room was clean and well maintained. Parking is conveniently available onsite, though it was a bit disconcerting to be driving on the left of the down ramps (to be able to use the card to open the barriers), when opposing traffic often kept to their right while exiting. Breakfast was typical of Residence Inn fair, and it can be tough to find a table during the height of the breakfast rush. Queen size beds seem like a European queen size, which is slightly smaller than the American one, but we made do.

The room is clean. I love rooms with kitchen! and it's really cheap to live this kind of hotel in Downtown. The electricity stopped on 12/2 mid-night in the whole block, but the staff gave us hand light, and the electricity came at 4:00 a.m., just exact the time the staff told us.

We took a spontaneous overnight to Vancouver - after about fifteen minutes of checking out hotel options, this fit the bill from description, visitor comments and price. I was not anticipating such a nice room with a full kitchen and very comfortable layout. The hotel staff was very nice upon arrival and were able to direct us where to go. We didn't wander around a lot at night but neighborhood seemed ok, and was very close to Yaletown where we ate that night. While the overall room was very clean and comfortable, there were a few stray hairs in the bathroom on the floor and in the tub .. easily brushed away but why that rating was a 4 not a 5. I was surprised by this hotel and would absolutely recommend it!

Service at the Residence Inn was wonderful. I interacted with 2 or 3 desk staff and every one was as nice and helpful as could be. Great location - a few blocks from Yaletown; a few from Robson; a longer walk - but still an option - to Chinatown/Gastownt area or to the Coal Harbour area. I didn't get to Sunset Beach or the False Creek seawall/ walkway but those areas also seemed to be within walking distance. I was surprised by how big my room was. Although I was only staying overnight, I would have really appreciated the mini-kitchen for longer stays. I really don't worry much about walking around Vancouver, even, in the evenings, but if you are more cautious you may be put off by some of the homeless people in the area. I had no issues with anyone and the most interaction I had was the occasional "hello". The area is no where near as bad as you see up around Chinatown and the Gastown area.

Stayed at this Marriot on family trip with two elementary age kids. The hotel is nicely renovated, with decent furnishings and décor. Very comfortable beds. Nice television and desk setup. Very flexible room. Having a kitchenette was very handy, and meant we did not need to eat out every time in a restaurant. The room was very clean and lacked nothing. The hotel staff we encountered during our stay was uniformly friendly and professional. Very nice people. The nieighborhood is convenient for walking around, shopping on Robson St, the Art Museum, and lots of little shops. It is only five or six blocks to the Granville Island water taxi, and all the options on the island. The breakfast buffet is pretty nice, featuring hot options like scrambled eggs, waffles, French toast, oatmeal, etc. Plus juice, fruit, yogurt and pastries. My only negative experience was that the hotel pool was quite chilly. The water temperature seemed so chilly that it was too cold for kids to enjoy for long. And the hot tub was not working, so the cold pool seemed even colder without a way to warm up. Overall, a very nice and convenient option for families or traveling professionals.

Stayed three nights with my daughter, loved the room and the location was very safe. The staff was wonderful in every way! So much so, when we came back through to fly out of Vancouver, we changed our airport hotel reservations so we could stay here again. We walked the neighborhood even at night and felt very safe. The room was latge with a big TV, full refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and a cooktop. Breakfast was wonderful! Will definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone. The parking may seem pricy until you check other hotels. Very clean and well kept hotel

Hotel located in the heart of downtown. Easy access to local transportation. Trolley stops in front of the hotel. Lots of eateries and supermarket just up the road. Staff very helpful and gives great advice. Rooms are comfortable and kitchen area. Every morning there is a hot breakfast available. Great place to stay. Stayed there for a whole week and will definitely stay at this hotel in the near future.

Great room - spacious, clean w/ desk & kitchenette & comfortable beds. Front desk staff very helpful & informative about getting around Vancouver. Great selection for hot breakfast. While only an overnight stay before boarding a cruise ship, would definitely select hotel again if we decide to visit Vancouver as a destination.

Loved having a real balcony, a real kitchen and a real work station--ie, not merely miniature suggestions of such but actual, functional spaces. Originally booked for the walkability to public transit, shops and dining, which did not disappoint; nor did the workout facility or included breakfast bar. The front desk staff was the absolute icing--personable, humorous and exceedingly helpful. Also should note, based on past experiences, I was skeptical of a room adjacent to the elevator but am happy to say that my room could not have been more quiet. We have the option to book our own business travel so I've recommended this location to all of my colleagues.

Found the hotel front desk staff to be really helpful with directions, recommendations, etc. Hotel is pretty conveniently located--Granville Island, Gastown, Robson Street. Tons of choices for the breakfast with hot items changing every day, but you also have cereal, toast/bagels/muffins, and they actually had skim milk, which you don't find everywhere. Would recommend this hotel.

I love this hotel. The breakfast was way more than I expected. The room was spacious and well appointed. Granville Island was easily accessible via the Aquabus. The street was quiet and residential, but restaurants were nearby. The staff was more than helpful.

Stayed in Vancouver after a cruise - beautiful city. Hotel was in a great location, close to city buses and tour trolley stop was just outside. Can't wait to go back.

The room was amazing! We had a king size bed and a fully stocked kitchen. This room had everything we needed for our trip up to Vancouver. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub area was nice and clean, and we enjoyed spending time out on the patio with a good book. Breakfast was way better than we expected and the variety and quality of the food items was excellent! I have already recommended this hotel to many of my friends and family members. What a find this was!

OVERALL THIS HOTEL WAS AMAZING! THE STAFF WAS KIND AND WILLING TO HELP US WITH QUESTION, AND REQUEST. THE ROOM WAS REALLY NICE ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE. THE ONLY THING WAS THE PARKING WAS REALLY EXPENSIVE AND REALLY NO OPTION BECAUSE THERE IS NO PARKING OUTSIDE.

From check-in to check-out, the staff was professional, friendly and courteous. Even staff that got on elevator with us was helpful and would provide friendly conversation. The room was meticulously clean my sister and I felt guilty to touch anything. We were on 12th floor on front side of hotel. Even by the elevator we only heard noise from maybe one siren in the area. If there is a next time to visit to stay in Vancouver, we will select the Residence Inn Downtown again. We were near at lot of the activities in the downtown area that were in walkable distance.

Hotel was in a great location right in the middle of the gay neighborhood. And walking distance to Downtown. Vancouver is so tiny, you can walk anywhere without using the metro in 30-40 mins. The hotel was clean, employees were helpful, and breakfast was great! The only complain is that in the early morning their intercom would come on and make a loud noise. It was very annoying specially after having a long night. They wouldn't even make an announcement to apologize. It interrupted my stay and sleep. Aside from that factor it was a decent hotel.
