For the price, this was an excellent hotel. If it was located somewhere other than Victorville, it would have 2x or 3x more that it cost.

The hotel front desk personnel were so very helpful and kind, going so far as to allow me to check in early( for the reason of making my day simpler). Great rates, room was quite comfy and clean.

Older, dated hotel. Clean. Bed was pretty hard as was the pillows. Bed was so high, I had to jump a little to get onto it! Wish they had a couple of comfortable chairs to set in to watch TV. Ice maker was broke on our floor and had to go down two floors to get ice for cocktails.

The breakfast could have had more choices. It only offered milk, apple juice, coffee & tea. "O.J. would have been nice". They had bread to toast. The sign out front said that the top floors were recently remodeled. If that was the case, they must not have finished the job. Wallpaper was coming off the walls, I thought I saw a cockroach. The only good thing that I can say is at least they didn't have bed bugs!

When first pulling up it looked like an old vegas casino entrance. It has a 70's feel but very clean. Rooms were clean and comftorable, slept great! Does have a bar lounge too. To cold but had a huge pool but no jacuzzi! Would have been awesome if it did! Overall would stay again, alot of hotel for the price!

We would never stay again. Both elevators stopped working, one with a person stranded. We walked the stairs which were disgusting. Remains of a pool of blood in a corner and remains of vomit splatter on a wall. TV in our room did not work, the lobby attendant advised us to come down and she would move us to a different room. Hesitantly, we used the […] one working elevator. We had to wait for ten minutes in the lobby as the one and only attendant was rushing back and forth to the basement trying to reset the other elevator. During our wait, the second elevator opened and a man in prison issue jacket and shoes came out and joined us in the lobby. My husband is a retired correction officer and new immediately where the man's clothes came from. After going to our new room, we found that the sheets were too small for the bed. The top sheet and blanket did not reach our shoulders and the bottom sheet did not reach the end of the mattress. Read more

I had an excellent stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. My room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. I had a minor incident involving the shower ( shower head fell off ). It was attended to immediately and I mean immediately. I will certainly stay here again and recommend the hotel to anyone traveling to Victorville or to the surronding areas.

If you like rooms without heat in December, hairs on the bathroom sink countertop, hairs on the bed, and old blankets and bedspreads that are grimy with dirt then this is your dream stop. What can make it better.....management that does not care, will not respond and knows you have prepaid so too bad. I would not stay here again if they paid me.

We checked in on Christmas day at noon the desk clerk was very nice and had Christmas rock and roll playing on the lobby PA. We found it funny because she switched it to the typical elevator music by the time we retrieved our bags. (We liked the rock better) Older Hotel property. Nice large and clean rooms. Would never stay there again. Had to change rooms 3 times as the heat was not working and the temp got down to 27 degrees . the heat never did warm up, we had to put our jackets over us to keep warm. There explanation was it was a old building. . Very dissappointed.

We've stayed here before and it met all our expectations. This time starting with check in things didn't go so well. The receptionist took over 20 minutes to get us checked in because of computer printer problems. I realize it is an older hotel but there are areas of upkeep that are falling apart.

When we first pulled in we thought "Oh no what have we done", but the inside had been remodeled. The breakfast buffet was nothing special. No fruit or OJ. This is also an extended stay place so there were some odd types around.

This is an older hotel. They say it was recently remodeled, but that was hard to see. The staff was fine and service good. Hot breakfast was good, but selection was limited. The big problem was the A/C. Arrived to a very hot room at 9PM. Even with A/C on full, it was too hot to sleep at 2AM. They gave us another room. A/C seemed newer and somewhat better. […] Was able to sleep but was still too warm. After A/C on all day and night, it was still too hot at 2AMK the next day. They need to remove the wall mount units and put in a good central A/C system to combat the desert heat! One odd n ote: The floors in the hallways are quite hilly - up and down all along the corridor. Not a problem, but a sign of age. Read more

We have attended a music festival in Victorville for many years. Have been staying at Ambassador for several years and it looks a little better every year. Much larger rooms than motels at same price range. Huge pool and good breakfast buffet.
