Travelodge AT&T center /I 10 East - San Antonio 29.42494, -98.42397

Needed just a place to sleep that was close to AT&T center. Hotel was clean, staff was plesant, and perfect location for my need

The entire experience was a negative one. I reserved 2 rooms and when we checked in only one room key was activated and I had to return to the front desk. The next night my room key stopped working and the desk clerk was very uncooperative about helping us get into our room. We spent an hour trying to convince him to come and see that there was a problem with the door. He was also rude to another quest who had locked his key in his room. I will never again stay at that Travelodge and may never stay at any Travelodge.

The hotel is in dire need of attention. The hotel is very dirty, in a bad neighborhood, and in my opinion unhealthy. I would never consider staying there again. The management is unfriendly and non-cooperative.

Arrived at check-in time 3PM on a Sunday. No other vehicles in parkingt lot-they were expecting me?--room not ready until 3:30--had to wait in lobby at uncleaned tables set out for continental breakfast. Deposits required for everything,ie. iron, phone--I was using credit card-still had to go to lobby, wait extended times to get these things. Breakfast included was stale bread and not much more. No pastries or even milk for the cereal. Remote for TV didn't work-took to office rpeatedly and on the third day of my stay they finally took the time to find one that worked. Luke warm water. Noisy plumbing and bugs--not sure what they were. If not for a non-refundable 6 day reservation, I would have gone elsewhere. REALLY glad when my stay was over!!!!!!!!!!!

This hotel is pretty run down. My room had a funny smell and was just generally worn out. On the positive site, it was very affordable, had clean sheets, and the front desk clerk was friendly. It is also very easy to access off I-10. Don't expect much, and you'll be satisfied.

It was okay. Clean, and easy access to highway 10 and not a bad drive to downtown area. I wouldn't want to actually spend time there but it was fine for sleeping. We were busy with our sons Air Force graduation so we didn't mind but not a place to hang out by the pool. They tried to charge us 20 dollars just to use an iron and there were some construction workers doing a job there that used the swimming pool. As far as the breakfast goes it was only frosted flakes and bad coffee. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable and the AC worked perfect. Good place if you are just tired after a long day.

I have been traveling (job related) throughout Texas for the last 4 months. I have stayed in many hotels and I can honestly say that this is the worst hotel that I have stayed in the entire 4 months. The desk clerk disinterested and at times rude. The hair dryer did not work and I could not get any help with that problem -- in spite of the fact that I was on the way to a job interview. The room was not clean. I saw only one other car in the parking lot, so being too busy could not be a valid excuse. Would not recommend this hotel.

The beds were hard as a rock and the restroom smelled of urine.

Brown slime on the sink (think it was tobacco chew). Plugged/overflowing drains in sink & shower Shower did not work well (limited spray) Smelled like smoke (in a non-smoking room) Only 2-towels provided for 2-people (total)? Front office smelled like sweat

The location was great but would not walk to concert.The room was clean Need to fix ice machine, need to have irons that work. Could not check in early without paying more(did not like that!!!)was there at 2pm.

This is located within 2 miles of both the AT&T center and the Alamodome. It was very clean and easy to get to. The bed is very comfortable. The only issue was the low flow toliet, very hard to flush down toliet paper.

By reading all the negative reviews about this hotel, I was a little apprehensive about staying there. It turned out to be fine. When you get there they do ask for a $25 refundable deposit which I did get back when I left. The room was only 3 or 4 exits from downtown which was very convenient. I would stay there again. The room we stayed in was very clean and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly. This was the first time we used Hotels.com and we recommend it to anyone looking for a great bargain.

When we first got there we went to check in and the person at the front desk didnt speak very good english and i couldnt understand anything he was saying. They made me put a $20 deposit even though it was already charged to my credit card and i didnt understand why so i was pretty upset about that. Then they didnt have any extra pillows or blankets without charging us for them. We were standing outside the hotel waiting on our friends and the hotel manager drove by and told us we couldnt be having a party outside even though we were just waiting on our friends to come outside so we could leave and go do what we had planned for the day. Overall i did not like the hotel at all. I would recommend staying somewhere else even if it cost more. next time i go to san antonio i will stay somewhere else even if it cost a little more.

Great room for the money....neighborhood was a little rough, but accomodations were fine.

It was a good location for the AT&T Center, but i wouldnt stay there by myself. Its right next to the hwy and its a little creepy there. Also, the front guy was having issues with the reservations of our rooms becasue the people checking in were not the people we had put down when we reserved them. Not a big deal, right, well he took a little while before he realized it was ok. The rooms were already paid for, so i told him he had to find a way to make it work.

when i first arrived at the hotel i was greeted behind a bullett proof glass window and i told the guy i just had surgery and i had an infant and a dog and i needed something on the bottom floor so it would be easier for me. he did not listen to what i told him and that evening i was not feeling too well because i just had surgery and i needed to rush to the restroom where the door was jammed shut! and to top that off my grandmother came to get my dog and the baby and the hotel staff(about 3) came to my door to tell me they need more money for the dog that was not even there so being sick and sore i just handed them 20 dollars and about 5 minutes later i get another knock at the door and did the same and then 5 minutes later they came again! so all in all i ended up giving them 60 dollars from them coming to my door. then a few minutes later they started calling me on the phone in the room and cursing at me about how they need more money from me. so i told them i was checking out 2 days early and i wanted at least a days rate back and they refused.

It was a great location if going to a concert at the At&T center.

Goo hotel and close to the AT&t center. $8 cab ride for 4 people. Would recommend.

Worth the price but wont go back. In a bad neighborhood. Away from Sea World the whole reason why we went. You had to travel thru the hood to get something to eat that was near the hotel. Construction going on at the hotel. Didn't feel safe because of where I had to park. Pretty clean room, clean outside pool. Fairly nice people, but we had a good vacation.

The room was very comfortable. I think they were in the middle of remodeling but overall it was nice for the price.

i booked this hotel through hotels.com.  thinking to myself that they are respectable.  i was so wrong.  for starters the area, was scary.  in the neighborhood there were bars on the windows of the homes.  the outside of the hotel looked terrible.  the room doors and rails the paint was all chipped/worn off.  so i asked the manager about the cancelation policy, since i had just booked it 4 hours prior, & not even seeing the room.  he wouldnt let me.  the room had a terrible terrible odor. it was an odor of somethng dead mixed with mold odor.  the furniture looked like it was from the 80s.  the baseboards on the walls were coming off.  a mount light on the wall was just hanging there.  looked like they wrapped paper around the screw and tried to put it back in the wall, and it didnt hold.  then i called hotels.com to express the lack of qaulity with this hotel.  the lady i spoke with called the manager to discuss & he was such a jerk because he still wouldnt let me cancel my reservation.  so in the end we let this hotel, went and booked another hotel.  dont waste your money on this hotel!!!

Location was kind of strange, you need a car to get anywhere. Employees were very nice and helpful. For the price it was ok but nothing that makes you want to return there when visiting San Antonio.

The hotel looks nice on the outside, but needs work on the inside. The safety latch on the door was missing from one room so they moved me to another room. I found out the next day that the electronic deadbolt did not work (door opened with deadbolt activated).

The motel is pretty rundown. My room had obvious signs of wear and tear. The air conditioner was very loud and the linens were very cheap and uncomfortable. My coffee pot had never been emptied or cleaned and had green mold. The rest of the room was clean however. I will stay elsewhere in the future.

FIRST OFF WE GET IN TO OUR ROOM AND THE AC WAS NOT WORKING. THEY SAID TO GIVE IT A MINUTE. SO WE GOT DRESS IN A HOT ROOM, SWEATING AND GETTING READY AS FAST AS WE COULD TO GET OUT. WHEN WE RETUNED TO THE ROOM IS WAS HOTTER THEN BEFORE. WE HAD TO CHANGE ROOMS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. ONCE WE GOT THE THE NEW ROOMS THE BED SHEETS WERE TORN AND THE ROOM SMELL AWFUL. THE GENTALMAN AT THE FRONT DESK WAS RUDE AND ACTED AS IF WE WERE INCONVENECING HIM. I HAVE NEVER STAYED IS SUCH A BAD HOTEL.

Could not tell if getting ready to paint(doors,walls,etc) or paint had just worn off. Seemed farther to Market Square than we had been told, although we didn't clock miles. Breakfast was very limited in choices.

I was really disappointed that the room did not have an iron or hair dryer. I called the front desk they told me that I had to pay a deposit for these items and pick them up at the front desk. I tell you why do they get your credit card for "incidents", you would think that if you steal it they would charge it. I'll never stay here again. I have stayed at other cheaper hotels in San Antonio without this problem.

I was travelling through and only needed to stay one night. It was clean and available, not a bad room for the price. I would stay there again.

The fact that the motel was not far from anything was the best part!!! downtown san antonio was like 5 or 10 min away!!! The people were very nice and kind and i do see myself going back again. Next time I go I am bringing my own covers,pillows, soaps, sanatizer soap and cloths to wipe everything down. The toilet was blahh...after i finished doing my buisness the toilet wouldnt flush. i had to put water in it so it would work! HILLARIOUS! Id recommend it to all of my friends...but id also recommend to take other things too!

PHONE IN ROOM NOT WORKING - USED FRONT DESK PHONE FOR FOOD DELIVERY; THEN DESK CLERK SAID WE HAD TWO LINES - HOW WAS I SUPPOSE TO KNOW THIS. CLOCK RADIO FOR ALARM NOT WORKING; UNABLE TO CONTROL TEMPERATURE FOR A/C. FRONT DESK CLERK (LADY) VERY HARD TO UNDERSTAND HER ENGLISH LANGUAGE - HAD TO ASK TO REPEAT SEVERAL TIMES. GUEST AHEAD OF ME HAD SAME PROBLEM MAKING HER UNDERSTAND HE NEEDED RECEIPT FOR DEPOSIT LEFT. DID NOT SHOW COMPASSION; DEMEANOR WAS VERY UNCARING. WILL NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.

I loved the Hotel, it was great I would recommend it to everyone. the one thing that i didnt like was the room service that they had.

the hotel itsef was nice. The neighborhood was not very nice especially if u drive to the riverwalk. But the hotel was clean and the service was nice, especially for the price.

I had to pay an extra $20 to check in early. They did not have my reservation, I had to spend time calling the customer service number to verify my reservation and I was not treated well by the staff. I was put in a non smoking room and had to go back to the office and change rooms. No ashtray in room, remote did not work, no facial tissue. Was treated quite rudely by cleaning staff when they wanted to clean before I was ready to leave. It was not an experience that I want to repeat again. The neighborhood was very shady as well. We were also awakened in the night by someone in the next room throwing up. It sounded like we were in the same room.

Needs Improvement

Hotel had changed recently to America's Best Value Inn and Suites. Bed was kind of hard pillows flat. This is a fair value, though, considering San Antonio is an expensive hotel market.
