"Good Locaton, Good Price"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The hotel was adequate and the location convenient for the event I attended. The price was reasonable. I appreciated the free continental breakfast. The breakfast room--an interior room without windows--is small and was crowded both days I was there. Alternate seating is in the more pleasant lobby with windows! Also at this Best Western, unlike at other BWs where I've stayed, the towels noticeably scratchy, not soft, are either old or require different laundering.
"Good food around the hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
They were very friendly and close to everthing, walked all weekend, loved it
"The Best Hotel on Ocean Beach"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
This might be the nicest hotel based right on the ocean at Ocean Beach. The staff was very helpful, the room immaculate, and the location second to none. I've stayed at a number of hotels in the area, but I won't stay anywhere but here in the future. You can't go wrong with an ocean front suite!

Spain’s foothold in California began here with Mission San Diego de Alcalá, a tourist-friendly church built in 1769. Nearby, Old Town’s historic buildings feature trendy bars and restaurants. Other major attractions include SeaWorld, Qualcomm Stadium, and Mission Bay Park, the nation’s largest waterfront park. South in Point Loma, the Cabrillo National Monument offers panoramic views of San Diego.

"Newly remodeled and great Old Town location"
The stay was nice. Even though they were putting on the finishing touches on the remodeling effort(12/30/2011), the place is sure to not disappoint you once completed. Good location and within walking distance to many restaurants, bars, and sights within Old Town San Diego. Brought several family members and so we we rented many rooms. All were satisfied. […] Would stay here again. Read more

"Fairfield Inn...Old Town"
Beautifully amazing
"Mission Inn - Old Town San Diego"
Newly remodeled, spotless, quiet location at the end of Old Town area. Easy walk to Old Town and Coyote Cafe! Across the street from great restaurant (El Agave). Beautiful courtyard. Inexpensive for this area. Would definately stay again.
"Under-construction, but still a great value"
We booked a room here after staying there previously and being satisfied with the comfort and cleanliness of the rooms. When we arrived on this visit, we discovered that the hotel was undergoing construction and a brand change. Other than some messiness in the lobby, we weren't bothered by the construction. This truly is a great value hotel--it's walking […] distance to Old Town and a Trolly Station, If you walk in the opposite direction, you're within a mile of the Lucha Libre Taco Shop (as seen on MvF). We stayed for New Year's Eve and spent a fraction of what our friends spent for a smaller room in the Downtown area. It did take some time to get a taxi from this location to downtown, but we blame that one NYE craziness. The guy working at the front desk was kind enough to comp us some bottles of water while we waited for our cab, and he called the cab companies several times on our behalf to get us a taxi. I think this hotel is changing to a Fairfield Inn any day now, but I still feel it will still be a great value. Since they are changing the brand, the rooms have been totally revamped. I was especially impressed by the bedside lamps that have outlets built right into them--no more searching for an outlet to charge your cell phone! Also, the TV in the room was a newer, large, flat screen. It was a way nicer TV than in our friends' room at a pricey, downtown SD hotel. We didn't use the pool this time around, but the last time we stayed, we went to the spa on a Saturday evening and would see the Sea World fireworks from there. Very cool. Read more
