The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They were able to answer all our questions and help us with planning our visit to MCRD. Overall the hotel was very pleasant. The breakfast did not have enough seating area for all the guest who were down eating at the same time. They ran out of food, and were not quick to restock. I did not enjoy to have to park out on the street.

Hotel was nice and clean. The problem is the service. We booked two beds but instead got One king. There were 2 adults n 2 kids and a baby. They gave us two cot bed. it eas an inconvenience.

The hotel was very nice and clean. Nice comp breakfast also. The only thing we didn't like was the parking situation. Parking on the street was very limited and the hotel charged $15 per day to park in their lot.

The Hotel location is the reason why i stayed there in the first place. However, for the price they charge there's no free parking, no room service and regardless if they have rooms open or not, check in time is at 4:00 P.M. there's other hotels in the same area. they are smaller but much cheaper, i would consider them before staying in this place.

This was a late booking for us after having been delayed on return home. Thought we'd check out San Diego and picked this place without much research. Couldn't have been more pleased. Very nice hotel with lovely surrounds, nice rooms and good breakfast. Walking distance to Old Town and transport. Happily recommend.

They drop a $15 parking fee on you or you can take your chances leaving your car out on the street. Not cool. Not at all family friendly-tv channels all news and sports no kids channels at all. Free breakfast in the morning is ho hum but it is free. Nice quality flat screen and room was clean, desk staff ok no problems there.

Cool hotel the staff is really helpfull and can answer any questions about what's around the hotel they even give u a map and point out all the cool spots. We stayed here on a busy holiday weekend and although the hotel was crowded with small children our room was so sound proof I didn't realize how many children were staying at the hotel until the next day. The free breakfast is a perk. the location is awesome, quick and convieniant to old town. The only down side is the underground parking. Really enjoyed our morning coffee in the courtyard by the fountain. Also liked being able to park on the street instead of paying a daily fee. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Room was clean and comfortable. There was no ramp at the entrance, so had to lift our luggage, but it was a small inconvenience.

I loved being able to walk to Old Town, walk to the transit station and the trolley stops. We easily found street parking, which saved $15 for hotel parking. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great, with lots of options. Loved the extra hot water that is often lacking in older hotels. Would stay there again.

I've been staying at this hotel for over 15 years. Now that Marriott owns it it is better than it has ever been. Parking is scarce and the 15$ garage fee is steep. Other than that it's great. Great buffet, great location. Will continue to stay here.

The only complain is the bed was a bit tough to sleep on and you have to pay for parking $15...the room was clean and the staff was very welcoming when we arrived. we got a gift bag with some goodies. it was only 1 block from Old Town and there is lots to do and see there
