Pros: Friendly staff, clean and spacious room, reasonably priced, easy to get to. Cons: Hallways are not air conditioned. Not the best part of town.

Room was very large and clean. One of the quietest hotels we have stayed in. Air conditioner was not working properly one evening and was repaired promptly by hotel staff.

lets start with the location, though near the highways, it is still 13 miles to downtown. very little to do/eat near the hotel. Then, mediocre a/c, NO coffee maker,micro-wave only on request,NO internet-in-room, ONLY hot water in the sink ( Cold water just did not come!!!). There was just ONE guy to fix anything in this hotel,and he kept quoting various excuses to avoid work. There were 12 cars in the parking lot, still the rate for what I got from this hotel is exorbitant !! Might as well booked in downtown. I wish I read the guest reviews better before booking this.

Well one good thing about the hotel there was plenty of parking because there was nobody there but maybe 4 other guest.The lady at the front desk failed mention the continental breakfast that was included (would have loved a cup of coffee)so I cant comment on that.I was able to hear the people in the room above us getting ready for their day early in the morning thanks to the thin walls.The bathroom fixtures and corking needed to be changed and theres no place to rest any items in the bathroom but on top of the toilet tank cover.Finally sometime early Monday morning the water pressure was so low there wasnt even enough pressure to take a shower.Thankfully I was checking out and wouldnt have to deal with this again.

We booked this over Spring Break, and even though it's not quite in the city, it's a very easy jump onto the highway to get there, and it was quieter and safer because of its location. I'd booked the room at the last minute and hadn't expected much, but it was clean, looked fairly modern, and the staff was very helpful. I will definitely be returning next time I'm in the area.

Need to improve landscaping and outside appearance. Inside was nice, however, the outside needs work.

The room was OK for the rate. There was no counter in the bathroom and it smelled a little funny. Other than that it was OK.

I booked based on the closest and cheapest from the Riverwalk. It's about a 10 minute drive, not bad at all. Staff was very nice, room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Would definitely recommend, very nice hotel for the price!

This hotel was much better looking on the inside than on the outside. The rooms were nice and big and were very clean. The front desk people were very nice and helpful. The negatives are that there was no coffee pot, the shower went from hot to cold, and there was a leak in the sink. Overall, this hotel was good.

room not set up to get ready for your day. No table or shelf next to mirror or blow dryer. The caulking around the tub appeared to have mold underneath it. Outlet did not work to plug in curling iron.

We were mostly looking for something cheap, and even though it's a few minutes drive to downtown, it's easy access to the highway, the room was big and extremely comfortable, and there was even room service menus in the room. Overall, I would DEFINITELY stay here again, especially for the price.

Very thin walls and floors, we could hear the people above us tromping around at 830am, the shower would go from hot to cold to hot without changing the settings, just an ok stay, nothing terrific, nothing terrible.

Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was a little strange but adequate. Good value and would stay again, particularly for one night.

The staff at the front desk was helpful. The room was terrific. It was spacious, clean and the bed was quite comfortable. The hotel was in a good location, minutes away from 410 and the airport. Definitely will stay here again next time.

Overall this hotel was a good place to stay if you aren't looking for extremely comfortable or accomodating. The hallways were warm, but the rooms cooled off nicely. When the person in the room next to us was taking a shower at the same time that we were, the water went from hot to cold until the other person got out.

For the price that I paid for this hotel it was okay. They need to upgrade the quality of the towels that are being used. When entering the building it felt as though the air conditioner was not on but the room was comfortable. We stayed for two nights and housekeeping came in and cleaned the room but did not leave the a/c on low and therefore it took a while for the room to cool off. Breakfast needs improvement. Breakfast was served from 7-10 and we got down there about 830 and the only thing that was left was toast and jelly. Those items need to be replenished.

This room was much nicer than we expected! The room was decorated nicely and very clean. There were only a few downsides to the room we stayed in. There was no cold water in the sink, the shampoo they give you is not nearly enough if you have hair past your shoulders, and it is quite a trek anywhere in San Antonio to get back on the highway (especially from the hotel).

This hotel is still in its first year, so it is pretty basic, but it was cleaner than some I have seen since it is new. The breakfast was VERY continental (only cereal and danishes) and the pool water needed a little chemical work, but the lady at the front desk was sooo helpful finding a restaurant and printing an email for us. I think they are still working on some of the decor, but if simplicity is your thing, this was a great place.

First of all the staff was wonderful...our room was beautiful and very spacy......when we left for the day and came back our room looked as though no one was in there....it was cleaned and it smelled fresh...trash was dumped....water bucket dumped...we had a few noisy neighbors....contacted the front and in 5 mins it was quiet as a mouse....the pool is small but comfortable.....i highly recommend it...and its in perfect time, under 30 min to places like seaworld, natural bridge caverns...etc...loved it!

Entrance nice, clean...that's about it.. rooms smelled, we stayed about 3 1/2 days, our room window right by pool...that pool was never cleaned while we were there...towels never smelled clean, very rough feeling like maybe they were just washed in hot water only... Breakfast area in lobby not kept clean, very messy. Also, no coffee in rooms... We will never stay there again. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

There's still some heavy construction right around the area (not that we experienced any machinery problem noises during our weekend stay). Overall, I think the hotel will be fine if it keeps up it's current standard of customer service, and cleanliness. The staff there was able to accommodate for my large group of members, keeping us all in the same general area really assisted in an awesome time. Thank you La Palmera, will be seeing you again!

Brand new hotel, still working on their landscaping and indoor decor. The rooms were spacious and everything was clean. Because they are new they do not have all the amenities of an established chain. Location is right in between Down Town San Antonio RiverCenter and Fiesta Texas. Great location, great price, I will stay here again and recommend it to my friends and family.

This hotel did not really met a two star rating. It was acceptable, but not outstanding.

The service and the rooms are great. Would recomend and stay again. The staff is great very helpfull.

The staff went above and beyond to help me with my concerns, and the hotel room was very spacious and clean with several amenities such as hair dryer, iron board, big table, cabinets, and microwave. The breakfast is good as well. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who needs a place to stay in San Antonio.

I enjoyed the price and location of the hotel, but the bathroom could go for remodeling.

It had bugs in the tub. They were nice enough to move us but the rooms still were not up to par. The fixtures were cheap.Tub moved

This hotel was not at all what we expected. The room was very hot when we arrived. It took about 3 hours for the noisy air conditioner to cool off the room. Which kept us up at night. The bathroom toilet was splattered stains from previous patrons. And to top it off a small roach was crawling up the side of the mini refrigerator in our room.

STAFF WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND TO MAKE MY STAY GREAT! THE ROOM WAS CLEAN, VERY BIG, AND MORE THAN I WAS EXPECTING.

It's new but poorly designed. It has large bedrooms that is mostly empty and a small bathroom without counters. This is just a place to sleep. There is no breakfast. The price was right if you want to save a few bucks, but it is not for the business traveler who expects better.
