This hotel was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. They allowed me to leave a bag during my cruise to pick up for my return stay and even reminded me of it when I checked in. It only takes less than 10 minutes walking time to get to Canada Place, which I did since the weather was nice.The lemon water in the lobby was a nice touch. The only issue I had was the breakfast area was too small and did not have enough seating. I took my food back to my room and ate in the comfort of my bed, no biggie.

My room was nothing like the pictures on the web site. The neighborhood was dangerous. The breakfast was horrible and very limited. The hallways smelled.

Very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay at our property. I can assure any future guests that our neighborhood is not at all dangerous. Unfortunately, some people think an area is dangerous because they saw a homeless person. Vancouver is considered to be a VERY safe city which does have a large homeless population. This will be noticed whether guests stay with us or 3 blocks away a t a 5 star property. I am happy to say that all of our hallways have had air freshening installed and are schedule for new carpet in the near future.

Very friendly front desk, and an easy walk to the main tourist area of town, but the actual street it's on, and the view from my window, was pretty dismal. My room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Great air conditioning unit and the room was cool and nice when I arrived. Honestly, an excellent stay, but I think it was a little pricey for this quality a hotel. Also, they provide breakfast in the morning, but it is served in the basement of the building. They've built it out to not look like a basement, but everyone knows it's a basement and it's not very nice eating breakfast in a subterranean, windowless basement. Again though, for the right price, I'd not hesitate to stay there again.

Very odd as we recently installed netting to prevent pigeons from coming anywhere near the windows of our guest rooms. As we are very close to the waterfront, it could have been some early morning seagulls flying around squacking at one another!

The room was quite small and not particularly luxurious, but it was definitely clean which is the most important factor. The location is convenient, but there are a few streets close by that aren't overly desirable. Breakfast was satisfactory--standard basic continental choices. The people working at the front desk were fantastic and always friendly!

Have used this hotel for previous visits to Vancouver. We find the staff extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The rooms we have had are very comfortable if a little tight. Breakfast rooms are a little small but workable.

Great walkable location for a pre or post cruise hotel. Walk to the ship. Staff was very helpful with recommending restaurants. Our room was quite small but adequate especially after a week in an interior cruise ship room. (Hotel was "better" than NCL room).

We took the Sky Train from Airport to Waterfront (next to Canada Place) & walked 5 block (3 uphill) to this older hotel. We found the lobby to be charming & the staff very efficient, friendly & courteous. They were helpful with directions, calling cabs & info on getting around town. We stayed one night before a cruise we were taking & one night after the cruise. The first stay we were given a large room with a king bed & oversized bathroom. We decided that it was a handicapped room due to the large doorway to the bath & the grab bars to help one get in & out of the tub. A small window looked out on the Harbor Center & let in enough light. Everything was fresh and clean. We had no complaints. The breakfast room, located in the lower level (basement), consists of 2 rooms with tables & chairs providing adequate seating. They had coffee, tea, juices, assorted bread, bagels, pastries, cereals, yogurts & fruit along 2 counters. You can order cooked eggs from the kitchen. The 2 kitchen staffers seemed a little harried so weren't as friendly as front office staff but gave adequate service. We returned to the hotel after our cruise expecting our luggage to be put in storage until our room was ready & were pleasantly surprised to be offered a room with two double beds that was ready so we took it. This room & bathroom were smaller but clean. The air-conditioner was inconsistent in this room & the toilet ran.

The staff was friendly and helpful (even loaned us an umbrella and arranged our taxi to the airport). It was a very convenient place to stay post-cruise. In-room amenities (shampoo, soaps, lotion, hair dryer, coffee/coffee maker, teas) were great. Included breakfast was adequate. Our room was quiet and VERY clean. The property is older, but well maintained. We were there 2 nights and would stay there again..

Me and my wife stayed here for 2 nights. Front desk were really professional and made sure our stay was wonderful. hey did early check in for us without any extra charge and gave a room back of the hotel which had beautiful view. They hold our luggage for half day even after we checked out. Nina ( front desk associate ) gave information about commute and site seeing and also nice near by restaurants. Break fast was wonderful ( infact the best I had). Wi-fi which was free worked good for us. We used it on two devices. Location of the hotel was good near to waterfront station, easy commute to and from YVR airport. BEST VALUE FOR THE MONEY we paid. The hotel was really secured, it needs hotel key/lock card even to enter into elevator and after 10 PM into hotel. I cannot give 5 rating since it doesnot have shuttle from YVR airport and also it was hard for us to use TV since TV remote was not good. TV was working good but navigating TV features was hard. I hope hotel management takes this into consideration. Overall we were really HAPPY and SATISFIED with our stay.

What a great review! I will certainly review your comments regarding the TV as it should not be nearly as difficult as you indicated. I do not know of any hotels in the downtown core that offer a shuttle to/from the airport. Ever since the Canada Line Train was built it has been the transportation of choice for most guests. It leaves from right inside the airport and stops just 3 blocks from the hotel. Hope to see you again soon!

Good overall, the only nos very good is the neighborhood but if you walk 2 blocks youre close to evertyhing, very convenient if you come from the airport because the trail is 2 blocks away. Many restaurants and stores close to the hotel. I recommend this hotel if you want to save some dollars and spend it in other things.

My overall experience staying here was determind by 2 main factors, one very good, & one not so good. Pro: the staff is fantastic. Everyone we talked to was friendly, & went above & beyond our expectations. Con: although it is close to the nicer areas of downtown, the hotel is in an area that left usfeeling uncomfortable. Leaving the car overnight in this area & walking back to the hotel at night was a little nervracking.

Our owner purchased the property in 1997 and fully gutted and renovated the property. We maintain the historical charm while providing all of the modern features that are expected when staying in a hotel. We offer free WI-FI, free breakfast and our service and location cannot be beat.

Our car got broken into at the easy park next to the hotel. Don't park there if you have anything of value in our car. But the front desk was extremely helpful when we were figuring things out.

Sorry to hear about your car being broken into. The lot this guest is speaking of is a block away from the hotel and is not a parking lot we use to park our vehicles. Guests who park with us will have their care valet parked into a gated and patrolled lot. For all future guests...save your self the headache and park with us!

Great mid price hotel with nice, clean amenities. Distance to Gastown only 2 blocks and little over 7 to main waterfront and Canada Place. Staff was very nice. Only 2 minor things: 1. Only 1 elevator 2. Near homeless rehab center so a few strays outside front Yaggers Bar and Grill next door has great food and decent drink prices but not attached to hotel.

We are located right in the heart of Downtown Vancouver and the city is known for having a large homeless population and this will be noticed in any area of the city, not just ours. Vancouver is very safe and all of our guests should feel more than secure while walking around at any time of day or night.

In Vancouver on business. Had a very comfortable three nights here. Convenient to restaurants, design firms, train station. Loved the fact that it was an historic hotel: nicely renovated but still had vintage charm. My room was compact but comfortable. Would definitely stay there again, and recommend it to anyone looking for a place near Waterfront / Gastown.

Clean room in a great location. However, the rooms are very loud. Every time someone came up the stairs it sounded like a herd of elephants. Same thing when folks upstairs moved around their room.

Everything about the stay was great. No loud noisy neighbors, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast could of been better but okay for complimentary. There is no parking anywhere it seems like downtown. The cost was more than I expected but reasonably compared to garages near by. I'm sure there is one garage cheaper somewhere near but didn't want to be driving around aimlessly. The location is on Pender and Richards. Really close to Gastown and other spots downtown.

As mentioned, we offer Valet Parking that allows you to come in and out of the lot as often as you like up to 5 pm the following day at a cost of $29.50/day. We stayed in January 2014 at ramada limited we crabbed from airport about 33.00 with our luggage with tip 40.00 we could of taken the train for 14.00 for two people and walked a few blocks but we had skis so too difficult but with a few suitcases on wheels it is easy to find. Our room was clean and well appointed a little small but we only slept there 5 minute,. The shower was awesome and bed great breakfast was simple but decent. They give you coffee mugs instead of foam cups! Walking distance to the vancover lookout , Gastown and the waterfront area. We walked about 15 minutes to the bc stadium and the cathedral of hockey. Buses are on the corner if you do not want to walk. They do valet park cars for a huge fee we did not have one. Canada place was a 10 minute easy walk. So if you are going on a cruise your good . The price was cheap to for the location. The staff was great very helpful and attentive. Security was great to so I felt very safe there. I would stay there again

I wanted my car to grab something and the valet argued about it. If I way $30 to park my car, you had best believe you are going to get my vehicle.

Our valet drivers are here to help you and should never be argumentative. The only reason I would consider staying at this hotel again is because of the staff, the front desk and valet guys were very friendly and incredibly helpful. But the room, was the size of a shoe box, the wall paper in the bathroom was peeking off, the carpet in the room was coming up. We found long black hair in our bed, amd neither of us have long or black hair. The whole hotel has one elevator, no pool, no hottub, no workout facility. The food tasted like complimentary food would. Like I said the only reason I would consider staying here again is because of the front desk and valet guys. The night valet guy was very helpful and nice.

Our maintenance and housekeeping team will be reviewing the issues you mentioned immediately. Being a 100 year old historical building in Downtown Vancouver, our rooms can be considered a little smaller than some but we try our best to make them cozy! Older style hotel but conveniently located to where I needed to be. Be aware, there is a $35 charge per NITE for valet parking. Walls were very thin and not well noise insulated. My room was next to elevator shaft and stairs and so I could hear people coming and going all the time. Staff is extremely friendly.

I stayed at the Ramanda Limited for 4 nights while attending a medical conference held at the Convention Center. It was very easy walking distance to the convention center and everywhere downtown! My room was very comfortable although small and was well appointed. I parked at the parkade (one block away) on Seymore- the day rate was $11.00 and night rate $5.00. I didn't have the breakfast at the hotel because I had full breakfast at my conference. All in all I had a great stay and would definitely stay there again!!!

The hotel was within walking distance of several different neighborhoods, including Gastown, Granville, and the Robson St shops and restaurants. It's kind of tucked away from the main hustle and bustle, which was kind of nice. Everything was great, but I will say that the free breakfast isn't worth getting out of bed early for. I'd definitely stay there again though.

The Ramada, though not fancy, is quite functional and comfortable and most importantly conveniently located for those using the Convention Center. With wireless WIFi. There aren't enough outlets in the room to adequately re charge your electronics.

My daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights and found it very pleasant. True, the neighborhood is somewhat rough and rundown, but not enough to affect our stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the room clean and comfortable. If you are a bookstore type person, there are 3 within 100 feet or so of the front door. As I stated, and I am sure others will, it is an older city neighborhood, but it is not a major reason not to stay there. We did not have any difficulty and did not see any one else have any problems.

Room was small but the room was clean and the bath and electrical fixtures were all modern. Bed was clean and comfortable. The hotel is in an old building but was thoroughly rehabbed inside. Stairs were carpeted and walls covered by a neutral and pleasing wall paper. Sight seeing buses come right by the hotel. Stanley Park and the Lion's Gate Bridge are an easy drive. Hotel is overall a good value for the cost. Valet parking is pricey but I recommend it anyway. Good choice for a short stay at a reasonable price.

Within walking distance of pier, Gas Town, China Town. Not the best neighborhood. But everyone kept to themselves. 100 year old building fully renovated in 1997. Small clean room view OK. You can't go up the elevator without a room key or get into the lobby after 10:00PM without a room key which made me feel very save. But if you get a window view in front of the hotel it's depressing. The staff was courtesious, friendly and kind. They arranged our tours for us right there and were picked up and dropped off at the hotel. Was very pleaed with my stay there the room was somewhat small but cozy!

Room was small but clean and nicely decorated. No issues at all, staff were friendly, easy walk to Canada Place. Breakfast was included.

We stayed here before our Alaskan cruise and again after for a few days in Vancouver. Our first room had a queen bed. The second stay we only had a double. And a seemingly old one at that. Not sure what the reservation said. Room 606 needs new bed...quick.

Location was perfect for what we needed. Short walk from the train, short walk to the pier, short walk to dining and site seeing. Hotel was old, but very well maintained. The only thing we didn't like was that there were no windows (well, windows were there but you could not see out of them) and the pigeons that made a ton of noise on the ledge of the window during the night/morning. Breakfast was good. Service was great. Bed was super comfortable. I would stay here again.

The lady at the front desk and the personnel at the front desk were all extremely nice and helpful. Hotel is old but it is ok. Breakfast was not that good but manageable. Service and location are the good points. I made the bookings for 3 rooms and only one of the rooms had a refrigerator and microwave. They gave the room with those facilities to one of my friends and when I requested a fridge by phone they wanted to charge $15 additional to what we were paying, even though there was no additional charge to our friend. The explanation was that she was lucky as there are 4 rooms with the facility included. I think that the least they could have done is send the fridge at no charge so there would not have been a difference between the 3 rooms paying the same. I made the bookings and the payments so I know what we paid. Next day she apologized but we did not need the fridge anymore. Besides that the stay was pleasant and they were very courteous.
