"Close to Gastown and the best bookstore in Vancouv"
Easy to find and a great bargain. We would stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Ramada Limited Vancouver Downtown Thank you for the review! Many of our guests disappear for hours on end into the great bookstore beside our hotel. Our location and value cannot be beat!

"Good location and helpful staff but smelly room"
Well located but outdated interiors and awful smell in the room and in the corridorGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Ramada Limited Vancouver Downtown Thank you, Sylvie, for posting a review! Very sorry to hear that you found an odor in your room. Our housekeeping department does a very good job and to hear that we have fallen short on this issue is unacceptable. Please contact us at the front desk if you ever have any issue with your room and we will do whatever it takes to correct the problem.
We stayed in January 2014 at ramada limited we crabbed from airport about 33.00 with our luggage with tip 40.00 we could of taken the train for 14.00 for two people and walked a few blocks but we had skis so too difficult but with a few suitcases on wheels it is easy to find. Our room was clean and well appointed a little small but we only slept there […] 5 minute,. The shower was awesome and bed great breakfast was simple but decent. They give you coffee mugs instead of foam cups! Walking distance to the vancover lookout , Gastown and the waterfront area. We walked about 15 minutes to the bc stadium and the cathedral of hockey. Buses are on the corner if you do not want to walk. They do valet park cars for a huge fee we did not have one. Canada place was a 10 minute easy walk. So if you are going on a cruise your good . The price was cheap to for the location. The staff was great very helpful and attentive. Security was great to so I felt very safe there. Response by Ramada Limited Vancouver Downtown Hello Junebuggie, thank you so much for posting a review. We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. It is clear that you appreciated all of the things that make the Ramada Limited Downtown Vancouver a great choice when visiting the city. Hope to see you again!
"Small room. Valet was arguing with me"
I wanted my car to grab something and the valet argued about it. If I way $30 to park my car, you had best believe you are going to get my vehicle.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Ramada Limited Vancouver Downtown Hello Katie and thank you for letting us know about this. Obviously this is not something we find acceptable from any of our staff members. Our valet drivers are here to help you and should never be argumentative. We will use your comments as a training tool and can assure you that, should you choose to stay with us again, you will not have the same experience when dealing with your vehicle or any of our staff members. My apologies.
"Not the best stay"
The only reason I would consider staying at this hotel again is because of the staff, the front desk and valet guys were very friendly and incredibly helpful. But the room, was the size of a shoe box, the wall paper in the bathroom was peeking off, the carpet in the room was coming up. We found long black hair in our bed, amd neither of us have long […] or black hair. The whole hotel has one elevator, no pool, no hottub, no workout facility. The food tasted like complimentary food would. Like I said the only reason I would consider staying here again is because of the front desk and valet guys. The night valet guy was very helpful and nice. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Response by Ramada Limited Vancouver Downtown Hello Steven. I would like to thank you for the kind words regarding our award winning staff. We certainly focus on providing the best service possible and it is always nice to hear comments like yours. I am however, very disappointed to hear about the other aspects of your stay. Our maintenance and housekeeping team will be reviewing the issues you mentioned immediately. Being a 100 year old historical building in Downtown Vancouver, our rooms can be considered a little smaller than some but we try our best to make them cozy! We hope you will come and stay with us again soon.
Older style hotel but conveniently located to where I needed to be. Be aware, there is a $35 charge per NITE for valet parking. Walls were very thin and not well noise insulated. My room was next to elevator shaft and stairs and so I could hear people coming and going all the time. Staff is extremely friendly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient! Comfortable! Great value!"
I stayed at the Ramanda Limited for 4 nights while attending a medical conference held at the Convention Center. It was very easy walking distance to the convention center and everywhere downtown! My room was very comfortable although small and was well appointed. I parked at the parkade (one block away) on Seymore- the day rate was $11.00 and night […] rate $5.00. I didn't have the breakfast at the hotel because I had full breakfast at my conference. All in all I had a great stay and would definitely stay there again!!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great central location"
The hotel was within walking distance of several different neighborhoods, including Gastown, Granville, and the Robson St shops and restaurants. It's kind of tucked away from the main hustle and bustle, which was kind of nice. Everything was great, but I will say that the free breakfast isn't worth getting out of bed early for. I'd definitely stay there […] again though. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great freindly and quiet hotel downtown"
Staff went out of their way to make what was turning out to be a very bad day into a great weekend. Awesome staff and great roomsGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good value friendly informative staff"
The Ramada, though not fancy, is quite functional and comfortable and most importantly conveniently located for those using the Convention Center. With wireless WIFi. There aren't enough outlets in the room to adequately re charge your electronics.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good value for the money."
My daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights and found it very pleasant. True, the neighborhood is somewhat rough and rundown, but not enough to affect our stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the room clean and comfortable. If you are a bookstore type person, there are 3 within 100 feet or so of the front door. As I stated, and I am sure […] others will, it is an older city neighborhood, but it is not a major reason not to stay there. We did not have any difficulty and did not see any one else have any problems. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Room was small but the room was clean and the bath and electrical fixtures were all modern. Bed was clean and comfortable. The hotel is in an old building but was thoroughly rehabbed inside. Stairs were carpeted and walls covered by a neutral and pleasing wall paper. Sight seeing buses come right by the hotel. Stanley Park and the Lion's Gate Bridge […] are an easy drive. Hotel is overall a good value for the cost. Valet parking is pricey but I recommend it anyway. Good choice for a short stay at a reasonable price. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Helpful and friendly staff"
Room was clean and in good condition. Staff was very friendly and provided good advice for sightseeing and dining.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Within walking distance of pier, Gas Town, China Town. Not the best neighborhood. But everyone kept to themselves. 100 year old building fully renovated in 1997. Small clean room view OK. You can't go up the elevator without a room key or get into the lobby after 10:00PM without a room key which made me feel very save. But if you get a window view in […] front of the hotel it's depressing. The staff was courtesious, friendly and kind. They arranged our tours for us right there and were picked up and dropped off at the hotel. Was very pleaed with my stay there the room was somewhat small but cozy! "Thanks again for another great stay"
We stayed here before our Alaskan cruise and again after for a few days in Vancouver. Our first room had a queen bed. The second stay we only had a double. And a seemingly old one at that. Not sure what the reservation said. Room 606 needs new bed...quick.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to where we wanted to be."
Location was perfect for what we needed. Short walk from the train, short walk to the pier, short walk to dining and site seeing. Hotel was old, but very well maintained. The only thing we didn't like was that there were no windows (well, windows were there but you could not see out of them) and the pigeons that made a ton of noise on the ledge of the […] window during the night/morning. Breakfast was good. Service was great. Bed was super comfortable. I would stay here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The lady at the front desk and the personnel at the front desk were all extremely nice and helpful. Hotel is old but it is ok. Breakfast was not that good but manageable. Service and location are the good points. I made the bookings for 3 rooms and only one of the rooms had a refrigerator and microwave. They gave the room with those facilities to one […] of my friends and when I requested a fridge by phone they wanted to charge $15 additional to what we were paying, even though there was no additional charge to our friend. The explanation was that she was lucky as there are 4 rooms with the facility included. I think that the least they could have done is send the fridge at no charge so there would not have been a difference between the 3 rooms paying the same. I made the bookings and the payments so I know what we paid. Next day she apologized but we did not need the fridge anymore. Besides that the stay was pleasant and they were very courteous. "A basic hotel for transit"
One night stay between two destinations (Seattle and Haida Gwai was convenient to location for arrival from YVR airport and train station in east downtown Vancouver. Hotel clean and room spacious. Staff friendly. The breakfast was very basic and a zoo. Not enough seats for people. Ended up sharing table- OK.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"convenient location, friendly staff, good value"
Hotel is in a convenient location for those looking to visit Gastown, shop on Robson st, or visit Chinatown. Busses and shuttles to grouse mountain and the suspension bridge are only a few blocks away. Some of the immediately surrounding neighborhoods are a bit questionable - but I never felt uncomfortable or unsafe. The room was a good value and very close to the Gastown/China Town districts, but bordering on some not-so-great areas. It is plenty safe, but just not an A location. The rooms were recently refurbished and very comfortable and you can't beat the price ... especially on Hotels.comGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Stayed two nights before heading out for a cruise. Perfect location. Breakfast was convenient. No complaints.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Vancouver in Summer"
Just a couple blocks from Gastown and and a few blocks the other way to the center of town. A very good price for the proximity to downtown. Nearing a seedy section of town but just a couple blocks away the hotels would be at least twice as much. Staff was efficient and helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Front desk friendly"
My sister-in-law and I stayed at the Ramada one night before our Alaska cruise-tour. It is a beautiful, older, small facility renovated to retain its original charm. As much as we liked the facility, we loved the front desk staff. They were friendly, helpful, and happy. What a great start to an amazing vacation.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"A couple blocks from Gastown/Canada Place"
This is a nice little place that was just a couple of blocks from Gastown and Canada Place. Gastown has a lot of restaurants to choose from, and Canada Place is the pier for cruise ships. A good continental breakfast is included, as was wifi. I would stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We stayed at the Ramada Limited 2 days prior to our cruise to Alaska. We didn't want to spend a fortune on some of the other waterfront hotels, so we chose the Ramada mainly because of cost and convenient location. Yes, our room was small, but clean. For the price savings, I can live with a smaller room which mainly used for sleeping after spending […] the day in beautiful Vancouver. We took advantage of the complimentary breakfast. It was a descent breakfast. It included hot items (eggs, meat, pancakes, bagles etc) as well as pastries, assorted cereals, coffee, milk and juices. The ladies attending the breakfast did a good job keeping the items stocked and the tables cleaned. And were friendly and helpful. We disembarked from our cruise in the morning and our flight did not take off until 11:00 p.m. My husband called the hotel after we got of the ship and asked if they could hold our bags for the day until we were ready to go to the hospital. They gladly helped us out and gave us suggestions on sites we could see. Some reviewers discourage staying at this hotel because of it's location. Their is a food kitchen nearby, so you might encounter some people down on their luck. We encountered homeless people in front of the downtown upscale($$$$$) waterfront hotels as well. Not once did we feel unsafe in either location. In fact, when we entered the Ramada hotel lobby, the door man was always there to welcome us back. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great hotel, excellent service, area ok"
Stayed for four nights and was very happy with the hotel. It's a little dated, but the hotel and rooms are nice and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. "Great Location and Customer Service!!"
We came up from Seattle for a romantic getaway and really enjoyed our stay at the Ramada Limited. The hotel's location is perfect because we took the train and were getting around on public transportation. We arrived before the 3 PM check in time and were able to store our luggage and go sightseeing. The friendly staff was even able to get us an early […] check in which was much appreciated. The bed was soft and comfy and we loved old decor of the room and building. We enjoyed the free continental breakfast too. Many hotels in Vancouver don't provide that anymore, which helps to save some cash of course :) The location is perfect for travelers without a car. All the major bus routes are within 1-3 blocks of the hotel. Definitely recommend!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent location - decent accommodations"
The location of the hotel is outstanding. It is only a few blocks from Chinatown, the Gaslamp District, and Canada Place. The shopping district on Robson Street is also walking distance. The hold is a bit old. There is a lot of street noise. Our window did not close so the noise was even greater. The heater kept the room warm. The room is very small, […] and the bathroom is even smaller. It was large enough for me and my wife because we were out and about almost all day. This hotel was walking distance from everything I wanted. I could walk to Gastown and Queen Elizabeth Theater. The bus/train station was two stops away on the Sky Train. "Very smelly hotel, but great location and service."
The whole hotel and room smelled stale and musty. The parking costs $25, and is valet only... other cheaper lots around, but did valet for convenience factor. Continental breakfast was pretty bad and they didn't even refill the meat tray halfway through breakfast. The one elevator is slow, so used the stairs the whole time. Worst part was getting connected […] to WiFi, which is included, but took about two hours to connect, and I am a VERY tech savvy individual originally from Silicon Valley (we are pretty much all IT gurus) so it was not me.
