An older hotel but clean. The heater seemed to be pre-set with no way of adjusting it. It was fine for the money.

I booked a non-smoking room but it smelled as though it was a smoking room. The rooms do not tell you they are smoking or non-smoking like most motels. I would have complained but I arrived late in and the knew this was the last room available. Next time I will stay at the Red Lion of Best Western.

The Quality Inn was pretty much as other reviewers had described it. It's a two story motor court facing on to busy 4th street (highway 101 as it goes through downtown Eureka) and it consequently pretty noisy in the morning. But despite the fact that the hotel was full up the other guests were quite considerate and sleeping was pretty easy. There is a nice indoor hot tub and an outdoor heated pool which were both clean. The rooms are typical motel, clean and comfortable with nice soft towels (unusual for moderate cost motel). The staff was helpful and efficient. Overall a good value and an excellent location, right next to the Carson Mansion and just a block or two from the popular old town restaurants and the waterfront at the north end of town.

The stay was acceptable. The hotel is centrally located. The hotel staff was very accomodating. I did have my camera bag stolen out of my room. Room was locked up prior to our checking out. Watch your valuables.

Clean room and helpful, friendly cleaning staff. The free breakfast was decent. Fruit, juices, coffee, pastries, boiled eggs, cereal, etc. We enjoyed our stay. On the downside, even with the door and window tightly closed the noises from the parking lot were easily heard in the room. One guest woke us up at 5:45 on three consecutive mornings when he started his truck and let it warm-up 30 minutes the first morning and 15 minutes the next two mornings. Also, for people sensive to frangrances remember to ask the front desk (also speak directly to the cleaning staff) to not spray the deorderizer spray in the room after cleaning. And the laundry soap they use leaves a "fake" citrus odor in the linens, but the bed was very comfortable and everything worked. All things considered, we will stay here again whenever we visit family in Eureka.

Good option for the money. Very close to one of Eureka's landmarks: The Carlson Mansion!

The hotel location was perfect. It was an easy walk into Old Town shops and eateries.The room was clean but kind of old...stains on the carpet and old single pane window that let in a lot of traffic noise. The staff was very polite and helpful.

Althought the outside of the hotel looks pretty drabby, the room we stayed in was clean, very comfortable, and more than expected. The bed was comfortable, towels clean, and we even had a fridge.

The room was clean and huge with 2 queen beds and a jacuzzi tub with a shower. We didn't expect a microwave and refrigerator, and got them anyway. We did expect a continental breakfast and were disappointed to find we were given coupons to a pricey restaurant for breakfast. We will use this hotel again when we need to be in the Eureka area.

We've stayed here a few times and have always been pleased. The rooms are clean and spacious. We have an infant and the microwave/frig in the rooms are handy to have. Also the pillows are great!
